Top Chef Texas by BB
There are six chefs left, Lindsay, Sarah, Grayson, Paul, Chris and Ed. Oh, and Beverly is waiting in the last chance kitchen for her shot at a spot in the finals. I believe she has to beat two more eliminated chefs to make it back and that’s going to be a tall order considering who remains. If it were a personality contest, I would be pulling for Grayson or Paul, but it’s all based on talent and who cooks the best when it counts. Last week’s episode was the best of the season. ALL the chefs did a great job. I guess Charlize Theron inspired them to do their best work.
Charlize Theron stops back into the stew room after the challenge and tells them she was blown away and she enjoyed it so much. She is a class act, that’s all I can say. Grayson says she was a fan of hers before, but now she’s really a fan.
Chris says he doesn’t want to do a group challenge this time, no offense to his fellow contestants.
Cat Cora is in the top chef kitchen, along with Padma and Emeril. They are broken up into three teams of two, Ed and Paul, Chris and Grayson, and Sarah and Lindsay. They need to prepare a dish in 40 minutes including preparing shrimp, shucking and cleaning corn, and making pasta. Immunity is off the table, but the winning team will get $10,000. They can’t proceed with making their dish until the judges check their corn, shrimp and pasta.
Lindsay and Sarah finish first and get to start cooking. Paul and Ed finish next. Grayson and Chris are last. Time is up and Ed and Paul have no shrimp on their plates. Paul says he is bad luck for Ed because every time they are teamed together, he messes up. The flavor of their dish is nice but they can’t win without the shrimp. Shades of Beverly last week leaving out an ingredient. That means it’s between Lindsay/Sarah and Chris/Grayson. The winning team is Grayson and Chris. Sarah is a sore loser of course and says the only reason they didn’t win is because Cat Cora doesn’t like tarragon.
They will be serving 200 people at a block party and only have 2 hours to make their dishes. The Chef’s will be competing head to head against the one they were just paired with, Ed against Paul, Grayson against Chris, and Lindsay against Sarah. They tell the judges what they are making and then Padma tells them they must make healthy versions of their dishes. Grayson and Chris must make a healthy version of chicken salad sandwiches, Sarah and Lindsay must make a healthy version of meatballs, and Ed and Paul are making a healthy version of an Asian dish. They all go to Whole Foods and give each other a hard time about who’s buying the healthiest ingredients. Paul is nervous and doesn’t sleep well that night.
The next day the chefs go to the Culinary Institute of America to prep for 200 people. They only have two hours and they are all stressing about the time constraints. Chris is making a tofu emulsion to take the place of mayonnaise and says he has fooled people with it before. As a true mayonnaise connoisseur, I don’t know if I would be fooled. When I was little, I ate mayonnaise sandwiches. That’s it, just mayonnaise. I liked mayonnaise on my hot dogs. Have I mentioned I like mayonnaise?
They arrive at the block party and have 45 minutes to set up. Bees are bothering the chefs and buzzing around their food. Ed and Paul try to keep each other calm even though they are competing against each other. The diners have to donate food to the local food bank in order to sample the food. The diners will be voting for their favorites and the least vote getters of each pair will be up for elimination. Grayson’s line is long and she is doing her chicken salad sandwiches to order so the bread won’t get dry. Chris starts freaking out about the bees because he is allergic and if he gets stung, he’ll be in trouble. I’d be freaking out too.
The judges arrive and sample the food. Dana Cowan is a judge for today’s challenge in addition to Cat Cora, Padma, Emeril and Tom. They try Paul’s and Ed’s dishes first. They like Paul’s dish better than Ed’s. Next they try Grayson’s and Chris’ dishes. They mention problems with both of these dishes. Last are Lindsay and Sarah. Tom likes Sarah’s salad, but Dana does not. They like Lindsay’s dish better. But it will be the votes of the diners that determine who is in the bottom and will have to defend their dishes. I have a feeling that Sarah and Ed will be two of the bottom three, but not sure about Grayson and Chris if the diners agree with the judges.
Padma calls for Grayson, Paul and Lindsay. The guests picked them as the winners of their head to head competitions. They talk to all of them about their dishes. Tom pings on Grayson about making a chicken salad sandwich. She argues with Tom about his logic that her dish was not as difficult as a meatball and Asian food. You can tell the judges loved Lindsay’s dish; however, Paul wins the $15,000. Yay, I like Paul and was glad he beat Lindsay.
That means Sarah, Chris and Ed are up for elimination. They don’t think Ed made the healthiest version of his dish. They agree Chris used healthier ingredients, but his sandwiches were very dry because he didn’t make them to order and made them ahead of time. Sarah’s salad was not up to par with the judges. The judges deliberate. Sarah’s meatball was ok, but didn’t really compare to Lindsay’s. Chris has great ideas, but the results don’t live up to his ideas. Ed couldn’t explain why using flour was healthier than using rice.
Chris will be packing his knives and leaving the competition. In the last chance kitchen, Chris will be going up against Beverly. Goofy Chris sees the note back at the house that tells him to meet Tom in the kitchen. He goes to the house kitchen instead of the top chef kitchen. Duh! Whoever wins next week’s last chance kitchen challenge will be back in the competition.
They have to create one dish using all the ingredients found in a mystery box. Some of the ingredients are lamb, parsnips, and marshmallows. Neither has an idea what they are going to make with it. Chris forms an idea first. They get another added ingredient and it’s radicchio, which throws Chris for a loop but makes Beverly happy. The last box has white anchovies. What a combination of food. They each finish a dish. Bev made a lime garlic anchovy dish. Chris made a salad with a pancetta on top. The winner who will be competing next week to try to get back into the game will be Beverly. She definitely has the cooking skills, no matter how socially awkward she is. Tom tells Chris this was one of his best dishes and congratulates him for it.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
We’ve heard rumors and seen previews, the reunion appears as though it’s going to be a “Slam Lisa” fest, that isn’t going to change any viewer’s minds as typically we side with the Housewife who gets attacked. I don’t think anyone who isn’t liking Kyle will like her any better after attacking Lisa. We also see Adrienne giving it to Lisa pretty good, Adrienne lost some fans this season and the reunion isn’t going to improve things for Ms. Maloof.
Bernie Guzman is Adrienne Maloof’s chef, he’s arrogant and rude as we’ve seen on screen but yesterday he decided to jump on his Facebook page and snark a bit at Lisa Vanderpump. This guy seems like a real jerk! He also posts his recipes on his Facebook page for just a few hours then deletes them, if you missed them, too bad! Ain’t he nice Joe? Ain’t He?

Ready for some drama?
The Real Housewives of Orange County are back and we cannot wait to see what is going down in the O.C this season, (though we’re betting on some catfights).
With the help of Tamra Barney, Gretchen Rossi and Heather Dubrow, we’re jumpstarting the RHOC action with a tease of what you have to look forward to this season (which begins Tuesday, February 7 at 9 p.m.).
1. Double-D Downsizing: Tamra’s 34 double-D implants are gone and she is totally okay with it. “It’s been one of the best things I have ever done in my life. I feel a lot more confident without my implants. [With my implants] I felt like [my chest] was the first thing everybody looked at.” No duh, she’s 5’4″ and had 34 double-D’s—it’s hard not to look! Now that her chest is no longer the center of attention we have a feeling her beau Eddy will be a bigger focus.
2. New Girl on the Block: This season, there is a fresh face in the bunch, Heather Dubrow, wife to a Newport Beach (shocker!) plastic surgeon. “When I first met her I 
actually thought she was a little pretentious. I actually used the exact words that ‘I think she had a stick up her ass,’” said Gretchen. Wow, Gretch, a bit harsh! Tamra added, “I was a little bit worried that she wasn’t going to fit in with the group, because she was so nice, so classy and yet so elegant. And with the girls on the show, we don’t always roll like that.” Heather admits, “I would say out of everyone Alexis and I have had some friction, [but] I was pleasantly surprised how well we all got along.” Play nice, ladies. Oh wait, this is the Real Housewives!
3. Love and War: Gretchen takes on the recently divorced housewife Vicki and the fireworks just keep flying! Gretchen’s issues with Vicki stem from the fact that, “Vicki had a lot to say about [her BF] Slade and about his child support issues…I just feel like she was being a hypocrite—[her new boyfriend] had a similar situation as Slade yet she was still very judgmental towards Slade.” All is fair in love and war, but the gloves are off and it’s going to get ugly.
4. Gretchen and Tamra, BFFs?! “It was time to build a bridge and get over it. In the process of doing that we realized we really like each other,” said Tamra after multiple seasons of fighting with Gretchen. “I knew that the only way to move forward was just to forgive and ask for forgiveness. It has become a very true and authentic friendship,” said Gretchen. Aww…how cute. Hope it lasts. Still, if they aren’t fighting, who is?
5. Bye-Bye Don: What’s a season of Real Housewives without some boy drama? This season it’s all about Vicki and her divorce from Don. “I don’t know if the show had anything to do with the collapse of [Vicki's] marriage,” said Tamra, “I know that it puts strain on your relationship, no doubt.” Gretchen added, “If the relationship is struggling, I think that the cameras might hone in on issues that you already have. The cameras don’t lie.” Sadly, their vow renewal couldn’t save their relationship, but for the audience 
it’s safe to say that boy toys are way more fun to watch.
Bonus—Beauty Tips: GTD! (Gym, Tan, Doctor!) Need a new way to achieve the perfect housewife body and overall look? Stick to the housewife beauty tips, which include Gretchen’s secret: “Always have a tan.” Or Tamra’s go-to, “For me, it’s health and fitness.” And you can’t forget Heather’s advice, “My best tip is go see Dr. Dubrow (her plastic surgeon hubby).” Who knew the Housewives had so much in common with the kids from Jersey Shore? GTD and GTL seem fairly close, just saying!

The above quote from Tamra has to be the most honest thing that Tamra’s ever said only she shouldn’t speak for the other Housewives. TAMRA is not nice, classy or elegant at all! Tamra is trash and has absolutely no class, it’s nice to hear that she knows it.
Gretchen and Tamra are going to become friends this season? I’ll bet the Vickster loves that! We know that Gretchen and Vicki go at it pretty good based on the previews but on which side does the fickle Tamra come down?
Gretchen and Tamra actually like each other? See, this is the problem, I used to like Gretchen but the end of last season showed me a new side of Gretchen, when Lynne Curtain confronted her about “stealing” the handbag line I found Gretchen’s reaction very telling and it wasn’t pretty! I lost a lot of respect for Gretchen during that scene. Add to that her new found friendship with the snake Tamra who has been vile and cruel to Gretchen and Slade, Tamra’s done everything in her power to bring them down including calling Slade’s ex-wife during the reunion show taping last season. Now Gretchen “likes” her? There are some things that are unforgivable and what Tamra did getting herself in the middle of Slade’s child and ex-wife’s situation is one of those things.
Now that Vicki is dating a dead-beat dad Gretchen is blaming Vicki for all the Slade bashing when actually, Tamra was much worse than Vicki. Sorry but this whole thing sounds like a scripted storyline!
Alexis was barely mentioned in the article but apparently the new girl Heather butts heads with Alexis. We saw a new side of Alexis last season as well with her dress maker when she cruely cut the dress that the woman worked so hard to create. Rather than allowing the dress-maker to make the requested changes, Alexis took scissors to it. Sure, it was Alexis’ design and it was her dress but, in my opinion, it tells you what kind of woman she is.
Unfortunately our only hope for a decent Orange County Housewife lays squarely on the shoulders of the new girl, Heather Dubrow. That’s a lot of pressure for one woman.
I am not looking forward to this season! I’m going to have to change my attitude before the season starts, I’m determined to go into it with a positive attitude! LOL

Great Top Chef recap BB. I fell asleep just as the judges were deciding who had to go home so I didn’t see it until your blog this morning. I’m not surprised but I do like Chris. I thought he was funny and a nice guy.
BTW, what was up with that oversized flannel shirt Padma was wearing? Normally I think she looks good in anything but that outfit was terrible. She looked like she didn’t have enough time to finish dressing.
Maybe Padma thought the flannel look would make her more “Texasy. ” The most formal looking judge was Emeril and he’s actually based on Texas I think.
Emeril is New Orleans based.
Oh, I thought he had a place in Texas too. I must be mistaken.
He might have a restaurant or two there, I just know his “home base” (which I am guessing is his corporate office) is in New Orleans.

Seriously, why are they targeting Lisa this season at the reunion? I dont understand it. Lisa may not be perfect but in my opinion, she was the best one of the season besides Camille. Adrienne should have ZERO beef with her and neither should that idiot Bernie. Adrienne is definitely losing a fan if she acts like a bizzo at the reunion.
We already see the clips of Kyle doing it, and Kyle should probably have kept her word-hole shut after the season she had! After her issues with Brandi, Kyle is coming across like a horrible person.
Kyle has become a victim of the “Jill Zarin Syndrome.” She believes she was and is the “star” of the franchise, sees it slipping away, and is desparately trying to convince us, the viewers, that Lisa is evil and manipulative. It didn’t work for Jill when she tried to skewer Bethenny and it’s not going to work for Kyle and company either. Kyle should have taken a lesson from that one, but alas, Kyle cannot get out of her own head.
I like both women and I don’t see a Jill Zarin in Kyle. But I do think this jealousy they all have against Lisa is infuriating.
I agree with you…I never really understood the Kyle hate train. She got a lot of criticism for the way she treated Kim last season, but in my opinion she handled a bad situation as best she could. From what I can tell, Kyle seems to be a loving wife and mother. I think Taylor latched on to her (not the other way around) I’ve had friends like that who you want to defend and be there for even if you know they are wrong. I’ll save any and all reunion critiques until I actually see the reunion- I haven’t seen the previews.
As a wife and mother, I am so involved in my family and their activities, I can’t even imagine having time to be so involved in other peoples’ lives unless they are in some kind of crises. I think there is always so much high school drama going on, because it is ‘high school’ to be so involved in others lives as adults with businesses and families to care for.
I always like the that’s high school behavior. Is it? I mean it seems to be a time that we first see it but it’s continuance throughout life makes me think that it’s just a path some people choose over handling your problems in a healthy way. A bit off topic but I’ve been pondering this between diaper changing.
Secretly Kyle is one of my favorite housewives. She’s a girls girl and it’s nice to watch moments with her like her painting her daughter’s nails or passing round lip gloss. She makes mistakes but apologizes, and YEAH she’s not perfect but I don’t know any perfect people.
Anyway Nice to know I have a kindred spirit out there!
BB, I agree with you. I would have so much more compassion for Kyle regarding Kim’s situtaion if I felt Kyle didn’t have ulterior motives – which is that she wants to be the star of BH, like what BB said. While I believe she is hurt my Kim, I think she is capitalizing on Kim’s aliments for her own gain.
Yeah, what’s up with Bernie being allowed to shoot his mouth off? I thought these people had to sign non-disclosure agreements or something. If I were lucky enough to have servants, I certainly would not want them trashing my guests in a public forum. Adrienne is wrong to allow this guy to drag her down in the dirt with him. IMHO…
Yep. Adrienne’s plan to include her chef in on the Lisa bashing is going to backfire on her big time. Big mistake, Adrienne, Big mistake.
Bernie may be a chef to the stars, but after his public displays of asshatness, I think that ship has sailed. I can’t see any celebrity wanting him around for fear of what he will do/say.

IMO – Lisa will do just fine at the reunion. Hopefully she will go easy on Kyle and Adrienne because neither are very bright or articulate!
As for Bernie….sorry but considering your behavior I doubt seriously that you will get more jobs because you don’t keep your mouth shut and you don’t respect your employer or their guests!

i like how bernie alleged that lisa thinks employees should be seen not heard yet during the finally we all saw her offer (i don’t remember if it was her maid or what) one of her employees if she wanted to borrow a pair of heels bc the woman looked to pretty but felt bad about coming in flats.

That’s what I can’t get over. If Lisa were my friend (a REAL friend) I would have given Bernie a good talking to, if not right out fired him. It’s one thing for employer/employees to feel like family, it’s another to act unprofessional while you are AT WORK. Now, I’m completely basing my opinion on recaps here, but I would have been mortified if I were Adrienne.
I didn’t watch this season, just read recaps here. But for the life of me I don’t remember or can’t figure out anything Lisa has done to be ganged up on. Is there something I missed from not watching?

The only thing I can think of that Lisa did was relain herself and viewers enjoyed it. That caused jealousy among the others, Kyle especially developed Jillitis. That’s a condition where one becomes consumed with thoughts of reality stardom. Kyle likely wants to bring Lisa down in an attempt to elevate herself as she wants to be the star of BH.

Okay. I’m tired of all this drama. I did watch Pandora’s wedding because I figured it would be relatively drama free. It was so refreshing. Kind of like when Lauri and George got married on OC.
Lisa… Lisa … Lisa… no one here know what it is like to work with Miss Bossy. I do not think most care. We have just decided to follow the women with the money and the British accent. That is superficial. I want to wait to see the reunion, because we all know over and over and over again, Bravo edits their commercials for maximum drama effect. I just wish people would stop treating Lisa like she is a Queen, it is bad enough that she behaves like one. IMO.
i have mixed feelings about it.
on the one hand, i blame Taylor for instigating it initially. Then no one could put the kibbosh on it, because Taylor’s husband died. So Lisa had to do damage control and pretend to be Taylor’s friend. On the other hand, it seems more and more like Lisa has made some enemies. Not on the show, but among the ‘little people’ in that field, the restaurant business. So it seems like there might be legitimate issues there, like with Michael Mazzella’s telling review of Sonya Morgan. To be truthful, I have not felt the same way about Sonya since. We get a view from Bravo of what it might be like to be friends with these women, when in reality, most of us would be the ‘staff’ they are reputed to sneer at when off-camera. They just don’t want anyone to know it. Too late.
Personally I like Lisa from what I’ve seen of her character. Not because of her accent. All we have to “judge” any of these women on is what they show us, and what we see. I’ve yet to see her act like a Queen. If being funny, charming, compassionate, willing to forgive, and maintaining a gracious and fun loving disposition makes one a Queen, well then pass me the Tiara. IMO.

I did not “decide to follow the one with the money and the English accent”. I’m not that impressionable but I do know what I like. I like people who are intelligent, funny, kind, generous, affable ad infinitum. These are some of the many wonderful qualities Lisa possesses and the reasons why I like her and will continue to like her. I doubt very much that Lisa will next season become someone completely different and detestable. That’s just not going to happen.

I wonder if bravo is behind this asshole Bernie attacking Lisa. Either way, he is rude and a liar. He didn’t confront her ST the sur opening. Considering Bravo invited Cedric to the SUR event, no doubt in my mind that they encouraged Bernie’s less than professional behavior towards Lisa as well. The fact that Adrienne allowed his Lisa bashing speaks volumes about her character (lack there of) too!
What about Kyle inviting Bernie to her book signing the same night Lisa was there with the other Housewives? Kyle lost me as a fan the other night on WWHL. I saw another side of her. Having Adrienne’s cook at the stage with her at her book signing. Sorry Kyle not a fan anymore.

She took money of my rent fir the issue and my large heating bill. I’m so sorry for not mentioning it. I have had pancreatitis and had college scholarship meetings. I still find time to tweet and post so these aren’t excuses. I feel bad cause you guys helped me so much. Sorry to ramble, I’m just happy to not be in pain as of yesterday.

I read on reality tea or some other site that Lisa and Brandi are actually friends now, and I actually believe that. They seem to have the same sense of humor. I wonder if they will touch on that at all at the reunion.
It was cute on WWHL the other night with Lisa and Brandi. When they announced the winners of the “Favorite Housewife” poll, Lisa won (of course) and Brandi got second and started cheering and seem genuinely excited about it.
Koodoos to Lisa for deciding for herself to befriend Brandi reguardless what Kyle told her. How refreshing and mature. I think this may have caused a riff between them.
jeanbean… It took a very long time for Lisa to stop believing all of Kyle’s lies and machinations. Too long to give Lisa much credit. IMO. The Hawaiian trip was after weeks of Lisa avoiding Brandi because of Kyle’s treachery, Lisa should have had more sense then that. She is the wise one, after all. Lisa was as catty as anyone towards Brandi, at the spa event at the Maloof manse. “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out” was her response to Brandi leaving early, from the event, because of a party, full of negative energy, aimed in her direction. Lisa seemed part of a pack of bitches going after the newbee. Not classy, not informed and not nice. IMO.
Lisa would only see Brandi during filming and they didn’t have too many scenes together prior to Hawaii. Time does not matter as they didn’t interact much prior to Hawaii.
Brandi has forgiven Lisa and now they get along great and you know that Brandi is the type that doesn’t take BS from anybody.
The truth is nothing people can say is gonna change your mind about Lisa and the same token nothing that you say is gonna change the minds of people that like Lisa.
I changed my mind about Kyle and Brandi not because of anything anybody said, but because of what I observed. Hopefully, you will too about Lisa.
Kyle and the other housewives are jealous of the love for Lisa. End of story.
I agree, Kyle thought she was the star because she won all of the WWHL polls last season. But she came off horribly this season.
Adrienne does not know how to speak. I enjoy her the least on the show, because she is so inarticulate. She saw that she wasn’t featured prominently season one, so tried to score screen time and it failed.
I love that Lisa and Brandy have found each other; they are a riot together.
As for RHOC, I know Lynn hates Tamra, but I “enjoy” her on the show. She is never boring. I’d take her over Gretchen any day. Looking forward to the new season.

Exactly. I liked her in the beginning but the more she hung out with Vicki the nastier she became which only made her seem trashier.

If Simon said that about Tamra, he was probably telling the truth. A little reality in a reality show never hurts the viewer. IMO. Tamra is a nasty piece of work and I think if Simon had not had the money problems, she would still be draining his bank account and hiding his verbal attacks from the general public. For her it is all the news that fits, to move her horror story along.
The fact Adrienne is so inarticulate makes me question the whole “business mogul” side of her story line. She’s a Maloof, but to be unable to speak properly or in cohesive sentences around people you know doesn’t really lead one to believe she’s much better around businessmen, investors, and people who actually matter in a more serious way. Not to say friendship isn’t important or serious, but c’mon. Paul is the brains in that relationship. She may have the money, but he’s got the tact, intelligence, and ability to aptly convey a thought.
even her opening slogan or whatever they call it, “having it all is easy IF your willing to work for it.” doesn’t make any sense! sweetie honey adrienne that translates as having it all is achievable if your willing to work hard for it.
I know adrienne used to be a fan favorite but i never really got it. i don’t like the way she treats her husband you could tell that being with paul at the doctors was the last thing she wanted to do and if thats what she think moral support looks like… wow.
also i don’t care for her style the messy hair heave make up chunky shoes and tight dresses she looks like a washed up former stripper.

Another thing I noticed today at the white party was how terrible Adrienne’s hair looked with the extensions and the dark roots. Amazing that with that kind of money her hair still looks like dog doo.

Not a fan of Adrienne after this season. She’s manufacturing drama to make herself more relevant. She’s just not the interesting.
Her dad started the company and her brothers run it. I don’t think she is all that involved.
Paul is obviously intelligent, outgoing, and a joker. They say opposites attract, but I can’t help but wonder what the attraction was that brought them together. At first I liked the bickering, my husband and I do it all the time, but now it seems like they really have little in common (besides the kids). When Paul had his colonoscopy Adrienne was there physically but not so much for emotional support and she left before he was out of recovery. He had general anesthesia- why did she leave? How did he get home? My husband wasn’t allowed to drive after his.
e-rizzle, I disagree. I have said it before and feel that it is important. Kyle, Kim, Lisa and Camille, all have acting experience. So they know about body and voice projection and scene blocking. Brandi , having been a model, knows about body projection. Adrienne is not a professional actor. I would not expect her to be able to project and speak well in front of the camera. Not in a room full of professional camera hogs. Image manipulation is a very difficult think, some are born with it but for most it takes practice and some work. Adrienne is playing a game of catch up with the other case members, trying to seem real while bringing fake drama to a very heavy season. IMO. Even Taylor was on The Hills before doing BH Housewives.
They’re all jealous because Todd and Lisa are worth about $85 mil according for Forbes. Yes Adrienne—this is net of debt. That’s why they’re jealous. Camille is the only one that is in category, maybe that’s why she this season she is endearing and not snarky.

I really don’t think so, her family has lost control of The Palms, the Kings are hemorrhaging money and they want to move the team, Sacramento is threatening to sue them.

I’m very disappointed (if) Lisa is really friends with Ced… errr I mean Taylor. It’s the smart thing to learn from mistakes. They’re both mistakes imo.
The thing I see different about Tamara and Vicki is that Tamara can take criticism and own what she feels is correct. Vicki can’t own any of her major shortcomings. EX. When they went on that weekend thing and Brianna went, Vicki made a big deal of Alexis being on the phone (rude I know). The next day Vicki is at the table on the phone, just like Alexis was and never said, oh you’re right, I’m sorry. All she wanted was a nice lunch. Well that’s all they all wanted on all the outtings and Vicki was ALWAYS bitching about something.

Vicki’s criticism of Alexis that day is all the more ridiculous when you recall that from the first season whenever the whole group of ladies went anywhere together in a limo Vicki was always on her laptop the entire time. And she was never apologetic about it; she always claimed that spending a couple of hours in a limo with the ladies was time away from her business that she couldn’t afford and a waste of her valuable time. Never mind that everyone else was bonding which is the entire purpose when you get together with your friends to do things like that.
Vicki turned me off very early on in the first season with her neediness, her nastiness and her hypocrisy. Then the scene when the van showed up to take the family to the airport and Vicki going off on the dispatcher in that shrill screeching voice of hers, which is permanently etched into my memory, sealed her fate with me.
With each season she has managed to worsen rather than improve and it appears that she’s learned nothing from the experience of watching herself on television week after week. It’s really quite amazing when you think about it that people like Vicki and Jill, neither of whom are very evolved, have this unique opportunity to observe themselves in this way, to see how they create problems in their relationships with others. One would think it would be a revelatory experience but neither of these women has taken advantage of the opportunity and endeavored to make the necessary changes in their personality and attitude. Just because you say you’re taking the high road does not make it so, Vicki.
I agree that Lisa’s money could be a source of jealously for some of the ladies. I suspect it goes far deeper than that. I think they are jealous of who Lisa is and how she behaves. Lisa seems to be comfortable with herself in a way the other ladies aren’t. She’s just doing Lisa and is not overly concerned with what the group thinks. I think Adrienne is the most jealous b/c she is very wealthy like Lisa but is lacking Lisa’s sophistication and can’t figure out how to get it (wearing tinsel in your hair ain’t cutting it). Kyle is jealous of anyone who gets any amount of attention. She’s not comfortable with who she is so she has to create drama to define herself – poor me, boohoo. I don’t think Camille is jealous of Lisa. I think she’s so deep in her own personal issues that she doesn’t have time for the BS. Her tea party moment was her I don’t have time for this crap moment. JMHO
I agree with you. I see a woman at ease with herself, enjoying some success and happy times in her life and I see a group of woman that cannot stand it. Jealousy is an ugly thing. And it usually comes with a big heaping serving of rationalization.
Besides which Ken and Lisa earned their money while Adrienne inherited hers and AFAIC they’re more deserving of both the money and the praise for having earned it.
I really don’t think it’s the money. Why then aren’t they jealous of Camille? And it’s not exactly like the other ladies are broke. I believe they don’t feel as if she deserves the popularity she’s achieved for whatever reason. I feel bad for Lisa… last year she kept saying how much she loved Kyle and how much she valued her friendship and I do believe they had a real friendship. Adrienne and Lisa didn’t seem like the best of friends but I don’t remember them having any problems. It has to hurt knowing all that was done and said behind her back. Maybe something will come out at the reunion to further explain what may have caused the drastic change.

The others (Kim not included, because she’s usually in outer space) must have been pretty jealous for Lisa having won all the polls and being Andy’s clear favorite with all the attention he lavished on Jiggy. I think Taylor exploited this because she’s the type to pick up on undercurrents like that and exploit them to the nth degree. So she made a bad situation worse.
I actually feel bad for Camille looking back at last year because it’s clear she came into the situation, a group of women, expecting not to be liked, because she has had bad experiences (though to be fair, her behavior is threatening to other women, like talking about her breasts poolside last year). This year it seemed like she just didn’t care. And I have to wonder if having been through so much of a public humiliation humanized her to the other women, and deepened her perspective as to the effects of a third party on a married or committed couple. I wonder if she has ever been the ‘woman scorned’ instead of the one who was helping the man do the scorning. It might have changed her outlook in a profound way.
NAthania… after a couple of episodes of BH this year I even commented here that Camille was coming across as very reserved and I was waiting for her to implode or explode..and then lo and behold here comes the tea party…. and the fallout from that…. I think camille that day took her que from Lisa.,because Lisa made the first remark about the abuse…. Ever so quietly in the back ground if you listen you will hear her…that’s all camille needed to hear..then OFF came the gloves…..
I think taylor had set her mark on Camille because she would be the most understanding because of the recent events with her divorce so it made taylors story so sad to camille… then when that didnt work she ( taylor) went for the typical REVERSE psychology routine to reel the rest of the woman in…. kyle questioned it and Lisa fell for it ..and then the race was on..as Camille says

I do not get why everybody has to be jealous of Lisa. Unless we can agree that Lisa might brag about what she has. Not on camera, not so much. I would not call Lisa subtle about much of anything. Taylor is jealous of everyone and maybe Kyle and Kim have the jelly gene. Camille and Adrienne do not seem jealous to me. Adrienne lived next door to Lisa and I do not think they were close for very healthy reasons. They are both very controlling alpha females, Nature dictates that they not share the same sun light for long periods of time. The story line may state that these are all close friends, but we here know that this not the truth, by a long shot. IMO.

If his problem with Lisa is that she doesn’t talk to him or thanks him, sorry but she has other things in her mind hen she has been at his bosses house. Is he offended because he is called a servant, sorry but hue is. He might get paid goodnmoney, he might have helpers in the kitchen that he can order around, that doesn’t make him a boss, a star. He could be a great cook, and might be used to great treatment, he might deserve it, who knows, but just because in of the guests of his boss doesn’t show him love, he is going to contantly bash? He needs to be humble and recognize that he is an employee or a paid servant…sorry but he is. Slap in the face to him that Lisa doesn’t address him as he would like, and HAAA she didn’t even know who he was at the Sur party. He needs to be glad he has a well paid job, and stay away from trying to socialize with the guests, he needs to do his job. Yes I dislike his behavior.

Adrienne lets him because she’s jelly – first the Jackpot thing, then being upset because Lisa also has a shoe line, and then the Lisa/Pandy going to Planet Hollywood and not the Palms. If it hadn’t been for Lips hijacking the show we’d have had to put up with more of this petty nonsense. Adrienne has been allowed to think that she is smart and a business saavy woman. She can’t speak to any issue clearly, she thinks her way is the only way and she comes off as a whiny wimp when she finally gets the floor. IMO, she is the one who was over the top about a possible lawsuit and kicking the Armstrongs out of the White Party! As for her whole shoe line story – seriously those are tacky hooker shoes and for her to think that everyone wants to look like her is very laughable. Sadly, I enjoy her husband and without Paul she would not have any storyline worth watching.
Maybe part of her issue with Lisa is that Lisa became friends with Lips and left Adrienne and Camille hanging? Although she was sniping at Lisa from the beginning.
I like that Adrienne and Paul had Lips figured out – I seriously question Lisa’s judgement when it comes to grifters – but being a softie isn’t a fatal flaw.
One thing Adrienne doesn’t have is any sense of what viewers want – she’s going to lose whatever popularity she has by attacking Lisa since we didn’t see anything that Lisa did to her all season. Where are her PR people and why is Camille the only housewife in the franchise who can turn thins around for herself.
What struck me most about the whole Lisa/Taylor exchange was when Lisa admitted she didn’t know how important her friendship was to Taylor. Lisa was clearly holding back before that, probably because, as others have mentioned here before, she knew about some of the financial stuff. I think Lisa is a softie and decided to put her concerns aside to help someone who was reaching out to her. How long the friendship lasts, who knows. She’s been taken advantage of before and probably will be again. But I believe it says alot about Lisa’s character that she’s willing to overlook certain things and offer her geniune friendship to someone who needs it. Not that I think Taylor deserves it however.
Jules, nicely put. Lisa has heart. One thing we all can say is that she has shown her kindness and loyalty to her friends. Unfortunatly that makes her a target to people like Cedric and Taylor. My hope is that Adrienne and Kyle put thier pettiness aside, because I think once your totally out of Lisa’s good graces your out. Lisa is definatly the funny “it girl” you want to hang out with.
The fact is that Adrienne has been told by the viewers, whose comments are posted on her Bravo blog, that we neither understand nor approve of her aggression towards Lisa this season. She has been told week after week that she is being petty and unreasonable, yet every week it’s the same old same old with her going after Lisa. I read the comment every week and this year, for the first time, some of my comments were posted. The majority of responses to Adrienne’s blog are critical while Lisa’s responses are supportive. That says it all and Adrienne has been tone-deaf to all of it so it’s her own damn fault that no one likes her anymore.
That’s what I can’t understand and it’s kind of a slap in the face to viewers… like she couldn’t care less about our opinions. Also, the reunion was after seeing how she came across during most of the season. How can she herself not see and acknowledge her poor behavior? That’s a real turn off. I liked Adrienne but I’m no longer a fan. The poll also spoke volumes that fans don’t like her attitude. Wonder if she gets it yet?
The comments here and on the Bravo blog are posted well after the events took place. There’s no possible way Adrienne could correct her behavior because the season had already been filmed and edited. If there is another season and she continues to behave the same way, then clearly she hasn’t learned from the experience; like Camille and Ramona from NY did. They both recognized things they didn’t like in themselves and changed accordingly. They grew from the opportunity to see themselves as others do. Maybe Adrienne or any of the other housewives will do that too.
Adrienne certainly had enough time to correct her behavior on the Reunion. She saw the backlash from the viewers on how she’s treated/treating Lisa, but from the previews it looks like she’s still slapping us all in the face.
The reunion was filmed early this month. Trust me Adrienne had more than enough time to correct her behavior. Unless, she is surrounded by people that only tell her what she wants to hear. My adivice to Adrienne. Fire your PR people!
Or maybe Lisa did something to her that none of us know about. We still have not seen the full reunion show, so I do not know why Adrienne is arriving on the hate train. If she is evil at the reunion, I will be the first to admit it, but I am not going to judge her using a Bravo edit.

Her opening line about being ‘the hottest housewive’ was probably true til she saw Gretchen. She then enlisted Vicki in her attack & it was on! Now she likes Gretchen? I cry bullsh*t! Who’s taking bets that Vicki doesn’t walk all over this guy the way she did Donn? I liked Gretchen in her first season-but saw shades of a mean girl last season-so the jury is out. I have to watch the reunion before I can form an opinion on Kyle bashing Lisa-I. Relieve they have a true friendship & will be surprised to discover otherwise. I know Adrienne is jealous & a chicken. She lets her staff do the bashing for her! Jackpot? Get serious! Adrienne saw Andy fall in love w/Jiggy-making commercials about him-putting his pic up in the clubhouse. Who is jealous of a dog? Where does Bravo find these ladies? Do they search for the wealthy & immature? I will be watching the OC with one eye closed. I’m not convinced that Tamra was jealous of Gretchen. I do think Tamra is very attractive and I just don’t think Gretchen is the hottest housewife out there. Tamra made comments about feeling insecure around Alexis, so I’m sure if she felt that way around Gretchen, she would have said it. I really don’t think she liked her because she felt like she was using Jeff. From what I’ve read and pictures I’ve seen, I also believe Gretchen was with him for the money and I don’t doubt that she was cheating on him when he was sick. However I agree with you about the sudden friendship. I’m suspicious of it myself. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. I’m agree with who ever mentioned it above… I’ll take Tamra over Gretchen any day. I find Tamra entertaining at times with her craziness. I can’t stomach Gretchen. I can’t stand Vicki but Gretchen’s attitude about Vicki going to the hospital last year during Alexis’ luncheon really sickened me. That’s just one example.
I think Tamra is way more up front and she probably despises people like the girl Gretchen used to be, someone who appears to be one thing but is another underneath. Because generally the wolves in sheeps clothing point to people like Tamra as the ‘bad girls’ because Tamra is up front about who she is, and is a straight shooter.
It seemed to me last season that Gretchen is seeing that she can make her own way in life and doesn’t have to use men to get what she wants. She really toughened up in this way. I am glad to see her stop attacking Tamra because Tamra is stronger than her in this way. They probably clashed because of commonalities between them, aspects of themselves they don’t like.

I heard about that on the radio this morning. I wish politicians would respect each other a little more. I’ve read about how it was 30 or so years ago… politicians from all sides would debate, but at the end of the day they could all go have a drink together. It’s not that way anymore. Politicians seem to really hate each other and that isn’t good for this country.

A picture is a picture, it’s not a synopsis of what actually occurred, so I think judging everything based on a picture is ridiculous. If someone came off a plane and greeted me with a lecture on what I did wrong in my own book, I don’t care if it is the POTUS, I’d more than likely give him a piece of my mind. And to walk away mid sentence from someone in any setting, other than those in matrimonial show downs, is beyond adolescent and disrespectful.

I don’t see Obama being for amnesty, he’s been sending more who are here illegally than almost any other president. I don’t see Obama censoring anyone. And the southern states do have a serious problem. How’s about heavy fines and maybe some AZ jail time in the desert for those big companies who hire illegals here? Other than that, I don’t see a solution at either the state or federal level.
While amnesty was beneficial to me when Reagan passed the bill in 1986 the employer sanctions were never properly enforced and we are now dealing with the aftermath of that. I can’t see the point of declaring another amnesty.

One is his aunt who’s been collecting social security, food stamps and lives in subsidized housing the entire time she’s been here. She actually told one of the newspapers here that if America doesn’t want to support immigrants, it shouldn’t allow them in! His 1/2 uncle was recently arrested for drunk driving. He hit a police cruiser. When told he could make one phone call, he said he was going to call the White House. Obama refuses to comment on either of these relatives. But guess what, they’re both still here!

I agree that every family has a black sheep LME, but it’s more than that for Obama. Believe me when I tell you, his aunt and uncle (who are not married) have both been living here illegally and have received tons of benefits supposedly available only to citizens. The uncle has a SS card and drivers license. The immigration department supposedly had him on a “list” to find and deport but it hasn’t happened. I realize there is no easy fix to immigration. However, when my tax dollars are used to feed and house illegal immigrants that the authorities and the POTUS are well aware of, I admit, it makes me crazy. Laura Bush’s car accident and the girls drinking didn’t affect me or the country at large in any way. Illegal immigration does so for me it is a real problem.

I’m glad to see someone address how Adrienne cannot communicate effectively. When she has a point to get across she says, “Here’s what I think. Let me tell you what I think. Do you know what I think? I’m going to tell you what I think.” By the time she gets all this out, the people listening have either interrupted her or turned their attention somewhere else.
I cannot imagine that Bernie has made all these comments without Adrienne’s blessings if he continues to be employed by her. Remember when Lisa was teaching Adrienne how to cook (wash) a chicken? Bernie was lurking around the wall at them and was supremely honked off that he had to step in and show them where the salt and pepper were located.
Could simply be that Bernie resents that Bravo didn’t ask HIM to teach Adrienne how to cook a chicken and he, like a lot of us, did not appreciate having someone else in his kitchen.

Mmmmm! I have been eating Yorkshire pudding since I was able to eat solid foods as a baby! Every family has their own recipe to make them and we have them at every family event or big dinner. Really learned to make them in my teens when we traveled to England for a month to finally meet all our relatives. It’s almost like a contest now to see who makes the best ones, although, maybe it’s the water or elevation, but I make better ones when we are visiting in England. Live in Florida now(born in Chicago) and our New Years Day tradition is of course Black eye Peas, Collard Greens and instead of CornBread, Yorkshire Puddings! I love me some Marmite too, not sure if Lisa’s family eats that though.
Boy this is going to sound so elitist but here goes.
As Adrienne’s “help” it was her job to put Bernie in check. Period.
Growing up we had “help”. Being southern everyone who came to our home was family. The problem we encountered often was that the “help” got too comfortable and stepped outside of their place, i.e. offering opinions about things, getting too personal with guests, failing to treat guests with respect when they didn’t like the guest. My dad was always good at talking to them about their behavior without being rude and making them feel he was on their side.
This Bernie person, no matter how great a chef, is the help and should not have even been invited to Lisa’s party. I guess in BH everyone is auditioning for their own show.
My former employer is in his early forties, and prefers that staff call him “Michael”, but he hired an older guy who insists on calling him “Mikey”…cause for termination IMO.
I think the terminology ‘employee’ and ‘employer’ are less demeaning and more professional. They aren’t ‘helping’…they are doing a job for which they are getting paid. Maybe the reason the ‘help’ stepped outside of their ‘place’ (is this another way of saying they got ‘uppity’?) is because the roles of employer/employee were not well-delineated (when this is true the benefit to the employer is usually far greater than that to the employee…all this ‘help’ nonsense is probably the remnants of what happened to the slave-owner/slave relationship after emancipation). There is no ‘help’ any more in this country, thank god.
And, saying a respected employee should not be invited to one’s party is just a bit weird.

The problem is that it’s Lisa and Ken’s party and we have all witnessed Adrienne’s chef being rude to Lisa. We’ve seen Lisa interact with her staff and she certainly seems to be egalitarian to me so I doubt that she has an upstairs/downstairs attitude. But Bernie was to rude to Lisa and that is why she made that comment, I believe.

I agree – she has been out of the news lately. Her reality shows may have been stupid, but she was working hard, honoring her contract obligations, and making her own money. She has done at least one commercial that I remember – the one for Carl’s Junior and she has her own perfume. I think she has other products also, but I cannot think of any. The point is, she is no slouch when it comes to working for a living. She is out there, selling her brand.
It’s easy to “work” hard for a living when all you have to do is what you want, basically.
If someone works hard to earn the money to do what they want, good for them. Even if its millions. You take your assets, and use them to your advantage. Isn’t that what this country is all about?

I read an article on Web MD that the only way to fix a dislocated Jaw is to have a doctor realign it. Then it takes about 2 weeks to be able to smile or chew solid foods. One of the other bloggers posted a timeline of when Taylor said she had her Jaw dislocated by Russell and the very next day she’s at an event taking pictures and smiling, she is full of shit. Also Taylor said the black eye happened the night after she was in Vegas with Lisa and the next day she tweeted she was at the pool at the four seasons relaxing. How are you going to hand out at a pool when you eye is coming out of the socket. The timelines need to be checked and Brovo needs to come out with any information either supporting this or refuting the abuse.
My cousin had her jaw broken and re-aligned for health reasons (don’t ask), and basically, she had her mouth wired shut for 2 weeks, and then 2 weeks of barely being able to move her mouth and eating liquids, and then easing into solids. Lots of pain killers in the interim,, which means, barring you’re an idiot, no alcohol at all.

Good morning! I just drank a 3 shot latte, so I am definitely awake now. I just wanted to point out Kyle’s outfit in the RHOBH group photo above. Michelle, you are so right about her outfits. She wears things that are too billowy. She definitely needs a stylist!
Michelle said that her clothes were boring on one of the blogs. I missed the billowy comment. I’d really like to hear Michelle’s take on what would look good on Kyle. She never looks put together to me and her constant pulling on her clothes indicates that she’s uncomfortable. Compared to the other ladies, Kyle is a little chunky – meaning she’s probably a size 6. I just wonder what would look good on her particular figure.
I wouldn’t say she’s chunky… just not skinny as a pin. It’s a shame she’s uncomfortable because she wears a size 6. She did mention once that in BH, anyone who wears over a size 2 is considered fat… or something like that. Anyway, Michelle mentioned in the comments I believe it was yesterday that Kyle wears billowy clothing and I agree, she does.
Sorry, but it just drives me nuts what’s considered plus sized these days. Now a plus sized model is anywhere from a size 6 to 12 where several years ago it was size 12 to size 18. I don’t know, maybe I’m a bit sensitive about it… I used to be a size 2 and now I’m a size 6, but I certainly don’t consider myself over weight. Shocking that my size would be considered plus size. That speaks volumes to me about the reason there are so many young girls with body image issues and eating disorders. I’m 52, and it was rarely heard of when I was a teenager. The media is ridiculous about it… I’ve seen them pick on celebs for being fat when you can’t even pinch an inch on them. I don’t know… this weight issue is just so twisted to me nowadays. It’s sad and it’s killing people.

I saw this morning that you asked if any of us had used Wen, and I wanted to let you know that I have. It’s really good stuff, as you only need to ‘wash’ your hair once or twice a week. Makes your hair feel soft, silky and fresh and holds the color so much longer.
However, I’ve found an even better product with the same idea and same ‘rules’ for cleansing. I feel like with Wen, if you use even a smidge too much while cleansing your hair, it gets oily/greasy/dirty looking (in spite of it being still clean) much faster than with this other stuff.

The thing that bugs me the most was dulling color or my blond highlights getting brassy – it bugged me to spend so much on color only to watch it fade so quickly.
My hair is fine, which requires that I use a volumizer – I checked out the link and I think I will also order the DevaCurl B’Leave-In curl Boost and Volumizer. Have you used this? It sounds like it will do the trick but I am not sure if I need the conditioner or not, so I need to research a little more before I place an order.

Try washing your hair exclusively in cold water, and no more than 2X a week. I know that cold water sounds harsh for this time of year, but that, along with No-Poo will save your color-time by leaps and bounds! I don’t use the conditioners because I find that (for ME) the cleansers themselves are more than enough conditioner for my hair, otherwise it gets oily too soon.
And yes, e-riz, Wen and No-Poo are comparable, but I really prefer the No-Poo over Wen….waaaay more. Love me some Wen if the going gets tough, but it’s not my #1.
I’m so scared to try it, but I’m intrigued. I have the straightest hair though, so not sure there’s a point. And it’s oily, and I shower twice a day…and I think my husband would look at me like I’m nuts, well more nuts than the norm.
e-riz, if you have time, click on the link and read the reviews of the product. My hair is as straight as can be also, but I noticed that some of the reviewers had straight hair and still recommended the product. Not all the reviews were favorable though, but I personally appreciate that. It was also suggested that you stay away from other hair care products that have a certain ingredient (I forgot the name) because it is that particluar ingredient that causes the oiliness.
I figure it worth a shot, becasue my color fades or goes brassy way to quickly.

Washing so often might be the problem with the oily hair. I’ve found that the LESS I’ve washed my hair, the less oily it is. And the No-Poo/Wen cleansing conditioners make a world of difference.
Ok, I will give the cold water a try. I have to admit that sounds tough to do because of the weather.

I know exactly what you mean about conditioner! I perfer not to use it either because it weighs my hair down. I have to use it sometimes because I notice that as my hair gets brassy it also gets dry. But my hair will turn around and get oily.

And is it sulfate that you’re thinking of? It’s the stuff that makes the soap/shampoo lather. It’s too harsh for our hair and skin. That’s why I’ve gone the way of No-Poo. I believe that’s what causes oiliness.
Once you get over that whole “I need SUDS to make it clean” thing…you’ll be good to go. The first time after drying–you’ll be very pleasantly surprised.
Just make sure the rule of thumb when using this stuff: Rinse Rinse Rinse, and when you think you’re done, Rinse a little bit more.

yeah, I think the whole idea behind it is cowashing (washing w. conditioner instead of shampoo) so you’re not completely stripping your hair, but it’s still getting cleansed with the little bit of detergent that conditioner has. I wasn’t a big fan of WEN (i’m also african american so diff hair type), but cowashing has been great for my hair
Yeah… I’ve heard that shampoo is really awful for your hair. I’ve been wanting to try one of the no shampoo products. Are you saying to only use conditioner and no shampoo at all… at the time? My hair is dry and fly away and really need to find a better way.

i am going to try this cowashing thing…my hair is way more easier to deal with after conditioning though i don’t do it every time.
I do the same thing Kris and I’m as white as they come! My stylist told me I only need to wash my hair once or twice a week but put a little conditioner in it the other days. My hair has just enough wave to be annoying but it’s mainly straight. I’ve found it easier to work with since I started cowashing it.
My hair is very fine but I have a lot of it. It’s got a large curl to it but I usually blow dry it straight. Throughout the day, a bit of a wave comes back. But because it’s so fine but plenty, it kinda poofs out half way down (it’s long… I need a hair cut soooo bad). Can’t wait to try this cowash. There’s actually a “recipe” for a no poo wash which I might try instead of using shampoo the 1-2x per week… if I feel like I need it.
I am a Wen girl! I used to use all kinds of products in my hair because it’s frizzy to make it curl and had tons of scalp issues. Started using Wen my hair is now straighter, something new for me, although at my age non-hormones apparently have changed my hair texture. So now I have this thick straight hair, that is smooth. I have heard some negative stuff from others but this works for me!
I find it amusing when watching the preview video of the BH renunion that Brandi is featured as much as the other houswives but there is another person that is not even seen, much less heard from. Unless it was so fast I totally missed it.
What would SWASNBN have to add? She contributed absolutely nothing except some price dropping and even that was old and tired after the first time she did it.
Did you see that Andy liked Brandi’s shoes better out if the other housewiveS? Go Brandi!
If Bravo doesn’t get that fans want Brandi but don’t want Dana (Taylor or Kim either but…) then they are never going to get ANYTHING!

I’m sorry about your cousin. I know people who have MS, one who comes to mind is incapable of taking care of herself but my sister has it and you’d never know it to look at her… she hides it well. She does get shots which is supposed to yield it from worsening although there are no guarantees. So far it’s worked. She doesn’t however live a lifestyle like Michaelle Salahi. There are things that trigger episodes which may or may not reverse. My sister’s been very lucky so far but she does suffer from some symptoms but nothing you’d realize was MS unless you spent a decent amount of time with her. I have Lyme Disease which is also an auto immune disorder like MS. Again, symptoms vary greatly from person to person for a variety of reasons. It’s not impossible that Salahi has it, but I’d say unlikely.

I have to agree that the K’s and PH all worked very hard to get the gullible public to think they are relevant and talented and for a while they were successful at it. They all started out with advantages that your average Joe doesn’t have, especially PH. But even the gullible eventually sees through the facade. They are what they are. They hustle and scheme as long as they can, then eventually fade away because they don’t have a real talent, whether it be singing, acting, or whatever, to remain in the public arena forever. There are only so many public appearances you can make and even the most devoted of fans will tire of that. I wish them all the best, but I hope our younger generation doesn’t aspire to be like them.
BB, I couldn’t agree with you more. But as long as people are consuming what they are providing, then they should capitalize on it. Perhaps you would prefer they were air traffic controllers (most ridiculous example I could think of), directing airplanes through the sky with hundreds of thousands of people’s lives depending on them. (That really sounds dumb, doesn’t it, but the point serves my purpose). If they use their moment of fame to make money and pay taxes instead of living off of our tax money. Okay, see if I got this. Taylor got hit in the eye on June 12th, after a party night with Russell (the day after she returned from Vegas). The next time we see her in a picture is June 20th and all looks just fine. Russell moved out between June 24-27th. We have pictures of Taylor June 29th, all is still fine.
Why does she have the remains of a “black eye” at the Sur faux opening? When was that? What the heck?? Nothing makes sense to me.

Viki..what cracks me up is when she says TESTS revealed…TESTS…. they dont test you…they xray you IF the swelling isnt so painful that you can actually be xrayed or get an MRI or CT or PET….and when I saw the one pic of her with the black eye what struck in my mind was the fact there was no significant bruising on the upper eyelid to the underside of the eyebrow….
I actually called my eye surgeon out in Colorado for hoots and giggles to see if he still had my file with pics and stuff..and of course because of the time frame that file is no longer available….
How can she possibly have a titanium implant under her eye and no scarring? I had a rod with seven screws inserted into my left wrist and I have a Frankstein scar to show for it. Then I had a second surgery on the other side of the same wrist and I still have a small scar. This was done 5 years ago and the scars are still plainly visible. I’m no medical professional but I just don’t see how Taylor could be scar free.

Well I just broke down and had Mr ford come look at the pics from Jezzebel site… Mr ford knew the guy who BEAT THE SHIT out of me and fractured my orbital eye and shattered me cheek bones… Mr ford was my knight in shining armour thru that ordeal and he remembers with VIVID detail how bad I looked…
So he comes in and looks at the pics.. FIRST thing he says..Not anything close to what happened to you…I ask why ?? He says because the whites of her eyes are clear…No blood showing….and no brusiing above the eyelid like I said earlier….I remember as if it was yesterday …. my eye was swollen shut for 3 days before they even x rayed me….Mr ford says she is a LIAR…..
And YES I have scars…one under the bottom eyelash line… at the outer edge of my eye..and inside the top of my gum line inside my mouth..

So my birthday so far was good. My parents took me out to brunch and embarrassed me with birthday cake and the entire restaurant singing happy birthday. I wanted to die. But it was fun. My son had a nice, long nap so I could relax and he’s been a very good boy so far so I’m happy.

Meanwhile, I had dreams as a kid of being a figure skater, the winter olympics were my favorite for that part alone. Then I went to the ice rink and was so scared of falling that I gave that up in a heartbeat. Years later during the summer before I was a senior, I was a child care aide and we took the kids to Ice Palace and the oldest kid in my group who was 12 said he would help me skate and I was so afraid of falling I got a migrane and couldn’t see straight. I refused to leave the wall all the way around the rink. LOL!

I was just watching the previews too and could not believe it! It was flashbacks from the RHNY reunion where it was the gang up by Jill, LuAnn and Kelly. Now it is the gang up by Kyle, Taylor and Adrienne. They look like idiots! Are they that out of touch with reality that they don’t realize what the public really thinks of them. And who is Taylor to question anyone about what comes out of their mouth?

My take ShannaTaylorNotFord! She could BS her way around her background her lies, her name changes, etc. Because she wasn’t on TV and there was not the access to the internet we all have now. She is very much a manipulator and doesn’t think she will be caught up in her lies, but trust ShannaTaylorNotFord, we have your information and you are nothing but another grifter! As far as Lisa, I think that Adrienne and Kyle are jealous that Lisa is getting a Spinoff series! They both were trying for this, from some sources I have, and were supremely peeved that Lisa was the one Bravo chose! They thought their lives were so much more important. Hmmm smells of the Bethenny jealousy by Jzilla and crew. Careful girls those Real Housewives were fired!
I so agree about the jealousy of a spin off and thinking their lives were more important. And now they are trying to taint and discredit Lisa just like Jill, LuAnn and Kelly did to Bethenney. Next we’ll hear Kyle giving an interview about how she brought all the ladies to Bravo and how unfair it is she isn’t getting a cut of Lisa’s earnings. If only Kyle could see that her worst enemy is herself.
I believe it’s partially the spin off and partially Lisa’s popularity. I think both Kyle & Adrienne thought they would be the most popular in the first season and we are now just seeing sour grapes. Adrienne would have been fine if she had kept her same profile as the year before but I think Bravo told her to up the drama. I think Kyle could have redeemed herself after outing her sister as I think basically she’s fairly likeable but she’s hasn’t come across very well in her 2nd season. Camille played the season just right but she simply isn’t as entertaining as Lisa & Giggy.

And I think “Taylor” is going regret ever writing that book once it is released. Greater public scrutiny and angry creditors are not going to be a happy combo for her.

This blog has brought so much good into my life BUT the best tidbit was the hint on hair washing last summer. I now do it as little as possible and with as small a serving of shampoo I can muster. NO LATHER. My hair has never looked better or been shinier.
I was ready to fire my fab hairdresser AND quit coloring my hair because it was just getting dryer and frizzier after each visit. The came the discussion of the NO POO movement and I was amazed. No big dollops of shampoo? No rich lather? I am a CLEAN person. How can this be? Well it be. I tried going without shampoo at all…..just rinsing. My hair looked great…not oily, but my scalp itched. Now it was time for just a teeny bit of shampoo….not enough for a lather. Voila, perfection.
Of course I will say this….go to Lynn’s get together and my hair will look like greasy straw. Jinx.

Moving on I find Gretchen the most tolerable of the OC bunch. The whole purse line thing was blown out of proportion and I feel Gretchen came out on top. Someone approached Lynn, she said no thank you, and then the person approached Gretchen. How that equals Gretchen stealing from Lynn I’ll never know. Lynn is also a pot head so it is hard to believe anything that comes from her mouth.
Someone upthread said that Taylor was on The Hills. I never watched that show so what “part” did Taylor play?
I am also having a hard time believing that Kyle would invite Bernie to the book signing. Even if she and Lisa aren’t on good terms right now why invite him? He really means nothing to her. It just seems weird. But of course Adrienne inviting him would make no sense either. Can’t explain why that guy was there.
The worse part of the season finale was Adrienne trying to hock her ugly stripper shoes. Like they are all trying to pretend to be there for Taylor and Adrienne is trying to go all Biggest Loser on us and have a commercial.
I still like Kyle but I wish she and Lisa could work things out. If this is about a spin off Lisa OR Adrienne would make more sense. Kyle really just has a really nice life. Lisa has businesses to run and a wedding to plan (if that was part of the spin off deal beforehand). While I see being sorta jealous Kyle should be happy for her friend and hope to be featured too.

I keep forgetting to post this, more than once my daughter has told me that the background music on RHOBH is from the video game “The Sims” I find it ironic because in the game you have fake people and you watch their lives and decide where they go and what they do….kinda like Bravo does with the HWs…
I forgot to add that I agreed with someone. Can’t remember the name but they said if they were spending that much money on a party (Pandora’s wedding) it would be an all day affair. The wedding started at 7 which probably means the guests didn’t see the reception area until 8. If I was paying that much money everyone would get there at 9 am and party all day!
I’m watching Stalked on ID channel. It’s about a kid stalking another kid.
When my daughter was in 4th grade there was a little boy who “liked” her and we had him over to swim. I’m in the swimming pool and I look down at him and he says in his lisp, “I’m kind of obsessed with your daughter.” My mind flashed to her being a teenager and I said to myself, “Oh Lord, you need to get this kid out of here.”
That’s so creepy.
He was a really smart kid and a good kid but I didn’t want any trouble. But the next year in middle school, so she must have been in 5th grade not 4th, anyway, his family would take her everywhere. Legoland, dinners, movies, even ComicCon. But I got a call from the school that she was sick. She won’t talk to me on the phone so I figure that she is really sick. So I get her into the car and she starts crying, not a big crier. I ask her what’s wrong and she says at lunch this kid was doing something he shouldn’t be doing and she told him not to and he pushed her down. She said, “He humiliated me.” After school he calls and she says, “I’m never talking to him again.” And she didn’t talk to him until the end of the year. He moved away to Chicago. I was SO PROUD!!
I can watch that channel for hours. Then I wonder why I cannot get to sleep and/or have nightmares.
