Before we get to the many shows we have for you today, I have to send my heartfelt Congratulations to Ms. Kristen Johnston.  Tonight is her book release party, tomorrow her book is finally officially available to the public and I know it’s going to fly off the shelves!

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy but I’ve ordered two, one that I’m keeping for the “someday” (hopefully) that I get to meet Kristen in person, I’ll be wanting her signature on that baby!  Another to give as a gift to my sister who is going to love love love it, it’s such an inspirational, funny and amazing story, honestly, you won’t be able to put it down.  (and I also ordered it for my Kindle so I will have it forever)  I know, they discourage reading it on the highway on the way to work, I’ll try to control myself.  I’ve read it through twice and really enjoyed every minute.

If you haven’t pre-ordered it on Amazon.com, you can still do that today!  Otherwise you can pick it up at the bookstore tomorrow!  This is one book you won’t want to miss!

I am so sorry to be missing the book launch party in New York tonight, thank you to Kristen for the invitation, I wish I could be there but I’m sending my love, best wishes and congratulations!

This is a New York Times Bestseller just waiting to happen!

Kristen can also be seen on TVLand on a show called “The Exes” hysterically funny and Kristen is a superstar!  The show was picked up for another season.  Congratulations Kristen!

Real Housewives of Atlanta

Kim Zolciak is becoming the Kim Richards of Atlanta!  She’s a no show!  She just had a baby so she gets a pass on South Africa but why not go to the one year anniversary party for Cynthia and Peter?  Kim claims that she “heard” Cynthia said some things about her while on the trip but Kim hasn’t talked directly to Cynthia.

Kim showed up for Cynthia’s grand opening of her fashion school so it makes no sense that Kim would take a pass except for the fact that Kroy was out-of-town and likely Kim didn’t want to go alone.

Kim trying to organize her garage with the help of her dad seemed to be going nowhere, as she said they were moving items from one side of the garage to the other.  A dumpster in the driveway would have been more productive but then Kim may have lost a brand new pair of Ugg slippers still in the box.  Likely a long-lost Christmas present…

Kim is obviously still having trouble with her long-suffering assistant Sweetie.  Kim has taken a lot of heat for having two housekeepers, a nanny and an assistant but the fact is, if she chooses to employ these people, they should do their job.  Kim has enlisted and is paying Sweetie to drive her kids to appointments, sign them up for school, help her around the house and whatever other duties Kim assigns.  The way I see it, it is four less unemployed people in the world so more power to Kim if she can pay these salaries.

Sweetie has clearly gotten too comfortable with her boss and seems to think she can decide what she accomplishes and what she doesn’t.  It sounds like Sweetie crossed the line with Kim’s daughter, however, telling the child to “F*** Off” when she was merely trying to get to an orthodontist appointment on time.  It is time for Sweetie to go.  The writing is on the wall.  We know that today Sweetie no longer works for Kim but the two seem to have remained friendly as we see them happily Tweeting to each other.

I really feel for NeNe, she’s got a troubled son who can’t seem to get it together.  More than just not having a job, not getting his education and not becoming a responsible adult, this young man continues to choose to break the law.

Obviously he’s not a very good criminal, he’s been arrested at least four times and so while Peter seemed to think that NeNe should have rushed right down to the county jail and bail out her son, I can see why she chose not to do it immediately.  He’s not new to the county jail, he doesn’t seem to have learned his lesson.  Sorry kid, you’re just not a very good criminal as you keep getting caught, leave it to the professionals.

NeNe is in a tough spot, she told us last season that it was time for some tough love with Bryson but her deadline date for him to get a job and move out of her house came and went without any repercussions.

I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to tell your child to get out of your house when he has nowhere to go, no income and no prospects.  That said, NeNe bought Bryson a car at the beginning of the season, he clearly had access to money as NeNe asked him if he had his debit card with him.  Where would he get a debit card from?  Where would funds come from to draw on that debit card?  Obviously his “Rich” momma NeNe!  It seemed as if she was just throwing money at the problem.

It was really nice to see Gregg come in to talk with Bryson, I don’t know if it will do any good and it’s clearly not the first time the two have spoken to him together.  Peter has offered to talk with him but it’s tough to imagine that anyone can get through to him.  Spending time in jail would have changed some young men but he doesn’t seem bothered by it at all.

Bryson told Gregg that he wants to start making the right decisions and his goal is to own his own restaurant.  That’s a little unrealistic at this point with no education, no experience and no knowledge of how to run a restaurant.  Why not make the kid get a job in a restaurant, start as a busboy and move on to being a waiter, if he really wants to be in the restaurant business, learn the business from the ground up?

Cynthia’s one year anniversary is coming up and Peter is planning a fancy black-tie party for all of their friends, family and Mal.  Peter tells his wife that a friend of theirs hired them a Bentley Limo to bring them to the party, he doesn’t want Cynthia’s sister Mal to ride in the limo with them.  I can see that, she hates him so why should he share this gift with her?  It would ruin the experience for both Peter and Cynthia due to the tension in the limo, I’m on Peter’s side here.

Cynthia’s sister Mal comes to visit, back in Atlanta from her home in France, Mal discusses the party with her sister and actually asked her who was paying for the party.  That is an odd question to ask a married couple, don’t they both pay for everything?  Aren’t their funds co-mingled?  They were both broke a year ago as they couldn’t pay the final $3k for their wedding bar tab so why does it matter who is paying for this party?

Mal makes no bones about it, she tells Cynthia that she will be riding in the limo and she doesn’t like her husband.  I used to like Mal but she’s not making any sense, the drama is over the top here.  Peter is a jackass when it comes to his sister-in-law but she’s no better.

The day of the party the limo doesn’t show up, Cynthia looks like she is all ready to go, the hair is coiffed, full face of make up and a beautiful little black dress.  They’re running late because the limo didn’t arrive and they plan on just jumping into their car to get to the venue on their own.

The couple arrive at the venue but it turns out Cynthia is not ready, she gets her hair done again and honestly, she should have left it in the first style.  Wow!  I thought the new hair style was out there and looked ridiculous.  The new dress, gorg!

NeNe arrives and takes to heart her opening line of “When I walk into the room, I own it” making a loud bee-line for Peter.  Peter asked NeNe about Bryson, which impressed me, I’ve always though of Peter as a selfish man but he seems genuinely concerned about NeNe’s son.

Marlo is there, I don’t typically mention style, but didn’t Marlo look like a really ugly marshmallow?  Marlo’s date, “an older white man” as Kandi described him was introduced to the ladies and he presented Cynthia with a gift.  Marlo tells Kandi she knows that Kandi would never date a white man, that was a rude and racist comment but we already know Marlo is rude and racist.  Kandi seems to get tongue tied when it comes to Marlo and tonight was no exception, she stammered, “no…I have no ‘type’”.

NeNe mentioned that she would date a white man and even referred to John as her “boyfriend” yet he did not accompany her to the party.

Sheree arrives hours late and is immediately bored until she notices Marlo and decides to confront her along with Lawrence about the nasty word Marlo said in South Africa.   Sheree had filled Lawrence in on the way over, telling him that Marlo used the “F” word that rhymes with “maggot”.  The two of them confront Marlo and she high tails it to the river of denial.  I find it hysterical that these women lie when they’ve been filmed, we all heard Marlo use the word and Lawrence is hurt because he thought Marlo was his friend.

Marlo is no one’s friend, clearly she is a gold-digging, racist, low-life and I found it surprising that these Atlanta Housewives continue to allow her to hang with them.  Honestly!

Peter whistles through his teeth to get his guests attention and NeNe is appalled, as the queen of etiquette, why wouldn’t she be?  Later Peter gives a short speech slapping his sister-in-law with yet another dig, “Thank you to friends, family and Mal” putting her in neither of the two categories causes her to storm off and sulk.  Peter’s joke / insult went over like a lead balloon and later Cynthia and Mal argue over Peter, it’s embarrassing for both women but I’m not really getting what Mal wants Cynthia to do here, divorce him because she doesn’t like him?

Earlier as Cyn was getting dressed both Mal and her mother told Cynthia that they were shocked that her marriage lasted even a year, her mother said, “maybe a month?”  Then added “is he bi-polar?”  Mal said, “he’s controlling” and Cynthia put a stop to it all by saying she would handle her marriage and allow Mal to handle her own.  Cynthia’s mom surprised me with her comments.  They were a bit inappropriate at her daughter’s anniversary party.

Mob Wives by BB

Renee makes a birthday breakfast for Junior and gives him a nice watch. He says he likes it and Renee is upset because he’s not that excited about his gift.  She also suspects Junior’s ex-girlfriend is keeping in contact with him.

Big Ang, Carla, and Ramona go to the horse races at Belmont Park.  Big Ang loves to gamble on the horses and has been going there for about 30 years.  Karen joins them after she has been to lunch with the Barnes and Noble people about her book, which she thinks will be a best seller.

Karen, Ramona, Carla and Renee go to a cabin in the Poconos to relax.  Drita is not invited and doesn’t seem to be upset about it.  Big Ang is upset she won’t be able to go because of upcoming thyroid surgery.  She is missing out.  First the Halloween party and now this.

They get to the Poconos at night and are not that impressed with the cabin.  It’s not that fancy and they are surrounded by woods.  Renee takes about a dozen furs, is afraid of the woods, doesn’t want to sleep by herself, and wants to be massaged and pampered.  She is being a big baby.

Drita goes to the bar Big Ang manages and they talk about the girls in the Poconos.  Drita tells Big Ange that she would like to make peace with Karen but she thinks Ramona is a big liar and has no time for her.  She does not like Ramona and still wants to duke it out with Ramona, but she says she’s want to change her ways about getting into fights with people.  She tells Big Ang she is going to anger management.  Big Ang thinks it’s worth a shot.

Back at the Poconos the ladies are going horseback riding.  Of course, Renee is scared of horses.  Renee looks silly riding a horse with a fur vest.  Carla has horses when she was a kid and she’s loving it.  They look like they have fun on the horses, even Renee.

Renee wants to stir up trouble with Ramona about what Drita told her.  Drita told Renee that Ramona called Junior a loser and said he would be nothing without Renee.  She plans to confront Ramona.  Leave the past in the past Renee.

Drita is talking to her anger management therapist.  This is the first time she has had any type of therapy.  Her anger goes back to kindergarten.  She tells him a story about getting so angry back in high school when some boys were bullying another boy in a wheelchair.  She told the bullies if they wanted to fight to fight her.  The therapist sees how upset she’s getting just telling the story.  She explains about her situation with Karen and Ramona and her fights with them.  He tells her they need to come up with different strategies for her.

Back at the cabin, Renee is drinking too much vodka and didn’t take her anti-depressants.  That’s not good.  She talks about Junior texting his ex-girlfriend and the ex-girlfriend calling Renee and AJ.  Carla tells Renee not to give the ex-girlfriend too much attention.  Ramona thinks Junior should take care of it, not Renee.  Renee is getting pissed with all of them.

Karen tries to talk Renee down, but Renee is talking about being raised to marry men who cheat.  Carla tells Renee to stop crying and suggest they do something else.  They decide to play cards.  Renee decides it’s a good time to confront Ramona about what she said about Junior.  Ramona says she never said anything about Junior.  Renee goes off on Ramona.  She tells Ramona to swear on her four kids.  All of a sudden, Renee is mad at Drita.  Renee tells Carla to be quiet about Drita.  They all gang up on Carla and tell her she is blind when it comes to Drita.  Renee tells Carla she picked the wrong team.  This is just too ridiculous for words.  I’m over the whole Drita-hating mess.

The next morning Renee all of a sudden believes Ramona never said anything bad about Junior.  They decide to go fishing on the lake.  Renee has no problem baiting the fishing lines with worms.  She used to go fishing with her father and misses having a relationship with him.  They call Big Ang and check on her while she’s recovering.  Big Ang wishes she were there.

That evening the girls go to a local night spot to party.  Wait a minute.  Are these chicks really making fun of the locals?  Really?  There is a guy in a bandana who approaches their table.  Karen likes to flirt and he also flirts with Ramona.  Renee doesn’t think he’s funny with his dirty talk.  Renee asks him to leave.  He doesn’t do the smart thing and walk away from crazy Renee.  Renee escalates the situation and the guy ends up being taken out by the bouncers.  Renee calls Junior and tells him she’s coming home.  Watching Renee makes me tired.  Having to be around her for any length of time would be exhausting.

Thanks for the great recap as always BB!  Lynn :) xo

Celebrity Apprentice by BB

Dee Snider explains that the Donald and the boardroom members don’t see everything and that Lou is not a team player and is not giving 110% like he keeps on saying he is.  I don’t think Lou will be on the men’s team much longer unless they keep winning or he makes a big change.

In tonight’s episode, entitled “Failure to Launch,” the contestants must introduce the new Buick Verano at a consumer launch presentation.  They will have to do a 10 minute presentation and a 10 minute Q&A session.  The presentation must be informative and entertaining.  They will be judged on informational content, brand messaging and overall creativity.

The women’s team, Forte, selects Debbie Gibson as their project manager.

The men’s tem, Unanimous, selects Adam Corolla as their project manager. Michael Andretti did not volunteer and the Donald is surprised he’s not the project manager.

The winning team will get $50,000 for their project manager’s charity.

Team Forte gets together and of course, Aubrey takes over.  They meet with Craig and Steve, the Buick representatives.  They mention four specific items about the Verano they would like highlighted in the presentation.  Debbie mentions to Teresa about using her husband and kids in the presentation.  Teresa says OK.  They don’t really discuss what part they will be playing.

Everyone on team Unanimous thinks Michael needs to be the front person for the presentation, except for Adam.  The Buick representatives come in and mention the words thoughtful technology.  Adam Corolla thinks that sounds boring and wants to be funny, but they tell him this is not a beer advertisement.  Arsenio is worried about Adam being a comic.  Adam makes a bad joke about Tiger Woods, who used to be a Buick spokesperson before his fall from grace, and the two guys aren’t laughing.

Lou wants to be the Incredible Hulk.  They tell him to show another side of himself.  Lou is insistent that Adam listen to his idea.  He is being a pest about it.

Some people are coming up with ideas that Debbie thinks are distractions, like Teresa and Dayana.  Aubrey, Lisa, Debbie and Patricia are in what Aubrey is calling the “cool” van and coming up with all the ideas.  The others are in the uncool van and not liking not being part of the decision making.  Teresa is not happy about not being more involved.  The uncool van ladies call the cool van ladies and Debbie doesn’t want to talk to them because she’s still working on the “concept.”  So much for the ladies becoming a team.

Penn, Arsenio, Clay, Lou and Dee are back in the war room while Adam, Paul and Michael are out test driving the Buick.  They call Adam and ask what they are supposed to be doing.  Adam wants each celebrity to be hecklers in the audience and to each ask a specific question.  The guys in the war room are not onboard with it, but Adam is making the decisions and they are going to do what he says and hope he’s right.

Michael test drives the Buick with Paul and Adam onboard with a Buick technical representative.  He liked the way the Verano drove.  He definitely put it through the paces.  The ladies also go on a test drive with Debbie at the wheel.  She is not as impressive as Michael behind the wheel.

Adam comes back to the war room and explains that Michael will start off the presentation telling how nice a drive the car is.  Next will be the heckling part and the guys don’t like what they are hearing.  Adam decides they are going to do it.

Debbie tells her team each character in the presentation is going to explain what the Buick Verano means to them.  Tia comes up with some lines to use, but Debbie shuts her down and says that’s not the way they are going.  Tia is not happy with the way she is immediately dismissed by Debbie.  They are coming down to the wire and really don’t have their act together.  Don, Jr. agrees they are coming under a time crunch.

Ivanka shows up the check on the men.  Adam tells her about the questions being shouted out from the audience.  She says she’s surprised Michael wasn’t the project manager for this task.  Michael tries to explain why he thinks Adam would be better, but she’s not buying it.

The men show up to rehearsal to run through the show for the first time.  They to through the heckler portion which includes Penn fitting into the trunk.  Lou is going to act the part of a bouncer and again doesn’t think they are utilizing him enough.  Penn is surprised Adam is involved in 19 plus minutes of the 20 minute show.

Aubrey, Lisa, Debbie and Teresa are going to be the actors in the women’s presentation, and Tia is going to be the host.  Dayana has no clue as to what they are doing.  Aubrey thinks Debbie is overwhelmed and thinks it’s looking very gimmicky with Lisa as the comedienne and Debbie’s singing. Aubrey doesn’t remember much about when Debbie was a pop singer, but gets in a dig about being a Tiffany fan instead.  Ouch.   Aubrey tells them her concerns about it not being that informative.  Debbie is not ready for the Q and A session and they didn’t even get a total rehearsal completed.  Debbie is hoping for some fairy dust to drop on them the next day.  This is not looking good for the women’s team.

The women are up first.  Tia introduces the car.  They are conducting auditions for a spokesperson for the car.  Debbie steps up to audition to be the spokesperson and sings.  Lisa steps up and does her thing and gets the executives laughing.  Aubrey steps up to audition and does a dramatic presentation about her mom being in a car accident.  If she had been in a Verano, she would have been OK.  Uh Oh.  Aubrey mispronounces the name of the car twice.  Teresa is last and has her husband and kids in the presentation to show they can all fit in the car with luggage.  They also include a dog coming in with them on a skate board.

When the question and answer section starts out they cannot answer the first question.  They turn it into a little comedy session.  The last question is asked by Teresa for comedic purposes.  She asks if the car comes in hot pink and leopard.

The women had some rough spots, but it was better than I thought it would be based on their preparation.

The men’s team is anxious about the presentation.  Penn introduces Adam and all of sudden he has a bad case of stage fright.  Then he starts talking about everything about the car.  He knows a lot about the car and the executives seem very happy.  Michael steps up and talks about the car and how it drives.  Next the heckling starts.  Adam’s idea pays off.  The audience is clapping when Penn gets into the trunk.  Next Paul stands up and tells Adam he sucks and doesn’t have a question so Lou has to come take him off.  Adam gets Michael back up there to answer a couple of other audience questions.

I think Adam’s idea paid off for the most part. They could have done without the Paul/Lou part.  That was awkward.

Time for the one-hour board room segment – Ugh.  Way too long.  This could be cut by 30 minutes easy.

Debbie says they brought a lot of heart to their presentation.  Lisa thinks Debbie did pretty well and she liked most of the way things ran.  Lisa thought she got a little frazzled but was creative.

Donald asks Dee how Adam was.  He is complimentary.  They question why Michael wasn’t the project manager.  Donald asks Paul if he was surprised when Michael didn’t take project manager and he says not really.  Adam interrupts and explains why he should have been the project manager and seems to satisfy Donald for the time being.

Lou tells Donald again he wasn’t used enough.  Don Jr. asks if he is being marginalized.  Donald says Lou keeps bringing this up every week.  Adam says Lou may not have been understood by being a heckler.  Donald disagrees. Penn thought their presentation may not have been corporate enough and they guys from Buick might not have liked it.  Don, Jr. asks the men if they think they did what the executives wanted.  They all said they expressed their concerns and Adam was the leader and they backed him 100%. Adam says he was very happy with the team and he will not be bringing anyone into the boardroom with him because they are not going to lose.  If they lose, he will be coming back by himself because he thinks he will be fired.  Donald says that’s a big statement, cut to commercial.

Donald asks Teresa how her project manager was.  Teresa tells him she and Tia felt a little left out.  Aubrey tells Donald Debbie was decisive, and she was good but not great.  Debbie tells Donald if she loses, she would bring Tia and Teresa back into the boardroom.  They haven’t gotten to show what they can do.  Donald doesn’t think Teresa has shown what she can do.  Debbie says Teresa doesn’t own who she is and she hesitates.  Ivanka says Teresa’s persona is different from what they expected and asks her if she’s being too cautious.   Don, Jr. tells Teresa she needs to take up for herself.  Teresa says if she’s brought back into the boardroom, she’ll do that then.  Tia says she and Teresa were marginalized.  Tia says Debbie is off-putting, dismissive and condescending.  Teresa chimes in and agrees with Tia.  Donald asks Teresa why she thinks that is and she says he would have to ask Debbie.  Donald says it’s disrespect.

The executives liked how the women included the four key items.  They liked Lisa and Aubrey in the presentation.  They weren’t sure what Tia’s role was.  They noticed Aubrey’s mispronunciation of the car’s name, Verano.  She called it Verona.  Donald tells her that is a reason for firing right there.  Lisa comes to her defense.

The executives thought the men did a very good job and Adam knew a lot about the car.  They loved the Q&A.  They didn’t think Michael had a good presence on the stage.  Michael says it’s not his thing.  They expected Michael to sell the car more.  They thought the other players had too marginal of a role.  They felt there wasn’t a real sense of community on the team.

The men think they did a really good job, but guess what, the women won.  I’m surprised.  I thought the men did a better job.  Debbie gets $50,000 for her charity, Children International.  The women get to leave the boardroom.  Teresa is safe for one more week.  I thought she might go tonight.  She needs to step it up.  They are noticing she’s flying under the radar.  In the hallway, Debbie apologizes to Teresa.  Teresa thinks she’s a complete fake.  She knows fakes when she sees them.  After all, she’s on a reality show with a lot of them.

Lou thinks Adam should go.  Adam is not going to argue with Lou.  Adam didn’t know they were going to be judged on who was being utilized, he thought it was the product that was being sold.  Adam says it did not fall apart for them.  He really doesn’t understand how they didn’t win. I didn’t either frankly.

Paul thinks Lou is the weakest player on the team.  Lou thinks Michael was the weakest on the team because he should have been the spokesperson for the car.  Arsenio says they wanted the Andretti name.  Donald, Don, Jr. and Ivanka agree.  Donald says he was shocked he wasn’t the project manager.  Clay has been quiet so far, and he defends the fact that Adam was a good host and made a better host than Michael.  Adam tells Lou whatever the men think of him, he’s earned it and he needs to own it.  Dee would fire Adam.  Michael would fire Lou.  Adam, in a stupid show of solidarity, will not pick anyone to come back with him. Donald tells all the men to go out and he is going to fire two people tonight.  He says Adam didn’t give him a choice.  He tells the women to turn off their TV.

Penn tells Adam a lesson has been taught by Adam refusing to bring two people back in with him.  While the men are in the hallway, they all talk to Lou about his flipping the switch in the board room.  Clay tells Lou if he survives this week, the learning curve is over for everyone, including him.

The men all go back into the board room.  The Donald asks why Adam didn’t bring two people back.  He feels responsible for the loss and he gets fired by the Donald.  He is asked to leave the board room.  He thinks he should be taking the bullet.  He’s says the charity his charity lost to is a pretty worthy charity and that’s fine.

Donald tells Michael his team thinks he was the weak link.  He says he’s not a salesman.  Michael is still saying he was not the right person for the job.  Donald all but told the men’s team that Michael should be the project manager.  Some of the men still feel Lou should be fired.  Don, Jr. says at least Lou wants the ball, the other men do not agree.  Donald says the men’s team lost not because of Lou, but because of Adam and Michael.  Michael is fired.  I don’t think the men are happy about it, but I can see why Donald fired him.

If ever there were a task for Michael Andretti to manage, it was this one.  He doesn’t feel like he did anything wrong and he’s still calling Lou the weak link.  Not a very classy exit, Michael Andretti.  Take a lesson from George Takei.

Watch What Happens Live

Andy Cohen hosted NeNe Leakes and Reza of Shahs of Sunset on Sunday night’s episode.  Much of it was uneventful but NeNe did play “Plead the 5th” once again and this time Andy was giving her just one pass, not two!

NeNe took so long to answer the questions that there was barely time for much else, she first had to choose between singing a duet with Kim Zolciak or wearing an outfit from She By Sheree.  Since it would be silly to waste her “plead the 5th” on such a inane question, instead she let the camera rest on her for several seconds in silence.  Finally Andy reminded her they were on live TV and she chose to sing with Kim.

The next question was how much money has her “boyfriend” John spent on her since they met, NeNe immediately corrected Andy saying she had no boyfriend but Andy reminded NeNe that John was there in the studio with them.  NeNe’s response, “Really?  Where?”  How stupid!  She pled the 5th on this one, typical Andy didn’t follow up and call NeNe out for calling John her boyfriend on the episode we just watched.

Finally Andy asked NeNe the same question she refused to answer on her last appearance on the show, “When was the last time you slept with Gregg?”  After what seemed like another eternity she finally said, “not that long ago”.  I’m sure her “boyfriend” John was thrilled to hear that.

Andy asked NeNe about Marlo’s comment, using the “F” word but NeNe brushed it under the rug and once again Andy disappointed me by not questioning it further.  Where is Andy’s outrage?  He was quick to give his opinion of that word when Joe Giudice used it.

Andy didn’t ask NeNe about her son Bryson either, I’m guessing she asked for that subject to be off limits.  It was a pretty big part of tonight’s Real Housewives of Atlanta episode so asking NeNe what he has going on wouldn’t have been completely out of line but it never came up.

Ok I have to say I’m not happy the way things went down at Kim’s. She was really passive agressive. Why does there always have to be an audinece of other ladies when these women confront each other on what was said. I mean Sharee wasnt letting Kandi explain her point a view, she just kept talking over Kandi. I’m not saying Kandi was right in what she thought Kim would do or not do, like go to Africa, but I didnt see Sharee jumping up and defending Kim either. All she was doing was shaking her head at Kandi and Cynthia. Not once that I can recall did Sharee say no I dont think you guys are correct or no she would have come and went to the orphange. Sharee was silent. Kim thinks Sharee had her back? The only thing Sharee did was hurt Kim’s feelings by stating things the ways she did about not wanting to hold black babies. I also think she hurt Lawrences feelings by telling him what Marlo said. I know she doesnt like Marlo, but you dont hurt others to get back at someone. That seems to be Sharee’s role lately.

Sadly, I think my love affair with the Real Housewives is over. They have pushed it off a cliff. I am just not interested in watching a show about who insulted who, someone cleaning out their garage or moving, someone having their makeup applied or eating their lunch or dinner. These shows are fun for the first season, sometimes the first two seasons, but more often, after the first season they all get wise to manipulating the camera, each others’ role in their image (hence all the concern about insults from each other), and hawking their wares.
I have switched to almost exclusively all-reality TV chick for a few years now, and I have looooooved me some Housewives, but I think this genre has finally jumped the shark. Breaking Bad is doing a lot more for me, as is Revenge. Scripted TV, please take me back! I’m sorry I left you for Reality TV, he seemed so sexy at the time but it ended up being just a fling. :P

    • nomoredrama (formerly housewifeaddict) says:

I watched last night – gave it another chance – and the only scene I found interesting was the one with Bryson. All I could think was how lucky he was to have two parents that cared that much – and how if he couldn’t get his life turned around – who could?

While I think there was far too much made of Kandi’s comments about Kim – yes she thinks Kim is self centered and too much of a Princess to go to Africa – moving on – - – the hurt in Lawrence’s face when he confronted Marlo was touching, and show how bigotry can exist where you would least expect it.

    • California35 says:

I agree with you – I keep eliminating one at a time depending on how they get :-P

I’m deprentlu waiting for 4 season og Breaking Bad to come out on DVD. I had never watch it on TV, when Is 5ths season coming back?

Revenge is another one I watch :-) very good.

      • TanukiLady says:

Don’t know! I am eager for S4 of Breaking Bad as well. I watched S1-S3 on Netflix back to back to back. Which was bad because then I had gotten into the habit of just being able to press the little button and get the next show. It’s so disappointing to run out of that! I’ve been checking Netflix regularly ever since, but no news.
I think wikipedia has entries about these series that give dates for broadcast. I would just google it. Good luck.

    • lizzle says:

Hey Tanuki! You made Kristen Johnson laugh… congrats! And I agree, I am watching more scripted TV and catching the reality TV shows on their second or third re-broadcast.

    • jules says:

I’m in the same boat TanukiLady! I haven’t watched a single minute of RHOA this season. Truthfully, I can’t even get through Lynn’s entire recap of the episodes because it’s just stupid and boring (not you Lynn, the show). If I want to watch that behavior, I’ll spend some time at our local middle school and watch the 7th grade girls go after each other. I think I’m pretty much done with all the HW’s shows. I may watch NJ just to see how it starts but I have no interest in the OC or NY versions anymore.

I, too, love Revenge! Mad Men comes back on 3/25; Parenthood just had it’s season finale and hopefully Downton Abbey will come back soon! I’ve found myself drawn back to scripted tv. Most of the reality shows seemed to be filled with angry people being mean to each other. If I’m going to watch that, I’d rather it not be “real”. I always end up feeling sorry for someone on the reality shows and life is too short for that.

      • Powell says:

        Jules,
I looovvveee Mad Men. I’ve been watching last season Sunday mornings. I like Parenthood also but only watched the 1st episode this season.

    • LynnNChicago says:

Haha funny stuff! I’m starting to agree with you, I find myself watching sitcoms and dramas too. I like Harry’s Law, I’m not ashamed to admit that I like the Big Bang Theory…yes it’s hokey but hysterical!

We’re starting to blog some of these shows lately like The River. I’d love for you all to help me out and blog some of your favorites. If anyone is interested, feel free to email me LynnAHudson@gmail.com

      I am LOVING Revenge!

      • TanukiLady says:

        REVENGE!!!!! More like this, please!

Haven’t even gotten to Downton Abbey yet, I am relishing having something steamy and delicious, just waiting for me….

(Lynn, I would love to blog, but honestly I could never get mine up the very next morning as you do.)

      • Powell says:

Darn. I should’ve taped Harry’s Law. I love Kathy Bates.

    • disgrazia4 says:

So funny Tanuki Lady! I feel the same way. It really began for me when Bravo brought family (the disgraceful part of it anyway) to to humiliate and betray family on TV. That was horrible! It’s just getting worse and worse. I, too, have been turning back to scripted TV. Depending on ‘real’ people to give ‘reel’ drama has ended up showing that not only do trained actors do a better job, but also that ‘real’ people just end up changed by the whole experience and not in a good way. And those are the ‘lucky’ ones. Suicides and murder are also some of the consequences of those who choose to go this lifestyle.

  4. WindyCityWondering says:

Thank you everyone for the recaps. Last night I wasn’t in the mood for stupid, loud, battle prone women and their weird dramas….so I watched Walking Dead!

    • keida says:

I LOVE The Walking Dead! I’ve read all the comics and the tv show is very different, so I don’t truly know what to expect. I love the show. Glad Shade finally got what was coming to him.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

ITA – don’t know what to expect episode to episode and the finale next week is supposed to be jammed packed with an epic battle. Shane got it twice and that was very nice! AMC is really putting out some quality shows.

      • Powell says:

        Keida,
That’s my show too. I DVRd it. I had to watch Oprah. That Shane is getting on my last nerve. It was sad on last weeks show about Dale. What do you think they should do w/that guy in the barn?

  5. Powell says:

    Morning all.

  6. lizzle says:

    Morning!

Unfortunately, I think we see Peter at his best on TV. I can’t imagine how horribly he acts off-camera, but for Cynthia’s mom to behave like that towards Peter, it must be pretty bad.

    • Called A Princess... says:

That is my thought too. We do not know how Peter has acted all year to either of these women. The women are or were a close knit family and Peter has put a wrench in that. He is the man and wants things done his way. Eyes roll! Since he is a bit of a thug, I am not surprised that he would care about Bryson’s evolution into thug land. IMO.

  7. Dame Rhetorica says:

    Happy Birthday Waslurking!

  8. Dwight Schrute says:

When Nene and Greg confronted her son. . . Man that dress needed a lot more than those two thin strands to hold up Nene’s chest. I was waiting for one of those strands to pop.

    • TanukiLady says:

That scene was so gross, complete with highly visible ginormous n1pple in one shot. I do NOT want to see that much t1t — mine, yours or anyone else’s. Unless you’re in a crowd where they’re folding dollar bills for tips, keep your t1ts in your top, and if they don’t fit into it, then get more top!

This and the whole episode helped seal the deal for me in putting RHOA in my rearview mirror. Buh-bye, bitches! (except you Phaedra, everybody knows we love ya, mwah)

      • WindyCityWondering says:

NeNe reminds me of a sausage bursting out of it’s casing. She really needs to wear the right size.

        • Called A Princess... says:

I think NeNe’s taste level is really low too. She seems to me to be a person that buys labels, not designs that fit her body type. She seems delusional on many levels. IMO.

  9. Kristen Johnston says:

Lynn, I am simply blown away by your support. I mean it, you are one in a million. I know how popular ur blog is, & can never thank you or Michael Mazzella enough for all of the amazing things you’ve written abt me, and GUTS (not to mention SLAM)!
That’s the beautiful thing I’ve discovered in sobriety…you really start to understand how many truly beautiful people there are out there.

    Many, Many thanks Lynn!
(and I’ll HAPPILY sign a book for you, any day!)

    Much Love,

    Kristen

    • Dwight Schrute says:

Now that’s just a true class act!

    • Sus says:

I’m going to have a good wake-up tomorrow. Guts will be on my Kindle when I turn it on. I can’t wait to read it.

      • Kristen Johnston says:

I’ve never seen it on a kindle! Hope you enjoy. There’s also an audio book available tomorrow (read by yours truly) xxxx

    • California35 says:

Nice of you to stop by.

Im glad your book is coming out, I pre-ordered it on e-books. I will check the status today. I might have to buy the book also, to give away to a few people in my family. I am also glad the Exes was picked up for another season, it was funny!!

      • Kristen Johnston says:

        Thanks!

      • California35 says:

        I meant iBook/Kindle

      • Jezzibel says:

the kindle version is avaliable for pre-order to be auto delivered on the 13th(tomorrow)

        • vilzvet says:

I will be ordering Guts next on the ereader. You also just reminded me to see if 3rd Rock is on Netflix, I assume it is. Love watching older sitcoms quickly with no commercials. Just finished the first season of Cheers, one of the best seasons of any sitcom EVER.

    • BB says:

      Congratulations on your book, Kristin!

    • lizzle says:

Thank you for recognizing Lynn & Michael! It is nice to see such a talented actor and comedian showing your appreciation for Lynn & Michael. They have really made me interested in GUTS & SLAM. You should get SLAM on the eBay charity list. I donate a percentage of what I make to charity, so if SLAM were on the list, I would change my charity of choice to SLAM. I think it is an amazing project and can’t believe NYC does not have a sober high school.

    • Powell says:

That’s just the sweetest thing to say.

  10. Atlanta Rocker says:

WSL, Thank you for that article on cyber bullying.

  12. Scorpiosue1102 says:

Good luck Kristen. Have loved you since Third Rock. :)

  13. Kristen Johnston says:

PS. Tanuki Lady’s comment cracked me up.

    • TanukiLady says:

thanks! you’ve cracked me up on your shows, so I probably owed you that. ;)

perhaps you can bring the DRAMA and THRILLS back to … cooking your breakfast (nod to recent RHoOC scene w/ Tamra and Vicki)!?! egg whites are just so, so scintillating.

      • TanukiLady says:

Now that Kristen Johnson noticed me I am fantasizing about becoming her assistant. And of course, how that quickly lead to us becoming besties, hanging out in Brooklyn (my hood) and Manhattan (hers, I assume). Kristen… call me? :P

Also it made me go check out her book. Some reviews say it’s funnier than Augusten Burroughs. Hello?! Running With Scissors was great, but Dry was truly one of the great reads of my adult life. So, color me: SOLD (what can I say, I am cheap and easy). Ordering it on P0well’s. Very classy of her to stop by.

  14. klmh says:

A few days ago I mentioned the King of Thrones on HBO, and thought it was well done. Im kind of taking that back now. Lots of gratuitous violence and sex. Sean Bean is no longer in the picture and Im not sure I’ll be back for a second season.
There is so much bloodshed and I understand nakidity when there is a reason, but there is so much of it…

    • BB says:

      nakidity? Lololol

    • LynnNChicago says:

Haha I love it “nakidity” klmh you just made up a new word! :) That’s awesome!

    • Rebecca says:

Game of Thrones is based on teh book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” and they have actually toned it down from the book. This series is very much in the same formula as Rome and True Blood. Did you watch those?

Yes, Sean Bean’s character gets killed off, as per the book. George R. R. Martin sticks with storylines not characters so there’s more in store if you stick with it.

Spoiler Alert – Daenerys and Tyrion should have very interesting plotlines next season if they stick with the books.

      • sparklemuffy says:

I liked Game Of Thrones so much I couldn’t stand it and am on book 3. It is excellent. April 1, be there or be square :)

        • klmh says:

          Sparklemuffy,

I did notice the 2nd season starts on the 1st of April, but we don’t get HBO. Could you let me know what you think of it? Did you see the first year and what did you think?

      • klmh says:

I guess Im afraid to tackle the books. Even my husband said there are so many characters its hard to keep track of them. He thought the first HBO series was better than the first book, but its getting a bit difficult to see all the graphic scenes. Maybe I just need to jump in and try to read it.
I also read that the 6th book, I believe, is difficult to get thru because its so wordy.

        • sparklemuffy says:

I thought the first book was exactly like the first season ( I agree about the nekidity, but it’s HBO) I can’t imagine the 2nd season will be just the 2nd book as it was not that exciting, but the 3rd book (A Storm of Storms) is FANTASTIC so far. I try to ration myself because I love George R.R. Martin’s writing so much and there’s only 6. I’m glad I watched the first season before I read the book so I have a face with the characters while reading now. I think the book would have been overwhelming without a context. I will let you know— it is my favorite show on television.

          • sparklemuffy says:

            Swords not Storms

          • klmh says:

Well, that makes me want to read the books then. I bet you’re right, the faces should make it easier with name recognition.
We don’t get HBO so I wasn’t prepared for what I saw. The graphic detail looked so real, and Im afraid some of it was. Do you remember the king of L. dissecting the deer, or the crow being shot down? Ugh. I don’t even want to think about that beautiful horse…

            • klmh says:

Sorry, Im afraid some of it was real. I know the US protects animals and uses dummies, but what they did to some of the animals looked so real. Of course, I bet they didn’t rip peoples tongues out with their throats either and that looked too real.

              • Rebecca says:

Did you see War Horse? I read that every single shot of the horse NOT up close was cgi. They didn’t hurt any of the horses or wolves in Game of Thrones.

Thanks for stopping by Kristen, I know what an exciting day it is for you. I almost booked a flight to NY last night I wanted to be there so badly! Unfortunately my responsible side came out and I went to work today instead.

We want to hear all about the party that Michael and WSL will be attending with you, I know Michael has worked so hard helping with all the arrangements.

Congrats on your big day! :)

  17. sparklemuffy says:

Thanks Lynn and BB. While watching HW’s I found myself wondering why anyone could be interested in Cynthia’s storyline? Seems like Cynthia stirs the soup then wonders why everyone can’t get along? I believe that is how her real life works as well. Why else would her mother ask if Peter was bipolar? Because of the things C tells her. They talk trash about P and she in turn tells him what they say. Typical soup stirrer. We just thought Kim’s hair was bad…what was that animal C had sleeping on her head for the party?
Oh–looks like we all need our tinfoil hats today–and WSL get out your lead lined one. :)

  18. jules says:

BB, great Mob Wives recap. Can you believe how many times they have to “bleep” words out? I was watching last night and honestly couldn’t understand what they were saying because there were so many bleeps! So stupid it’s funny…

    • BB says:

I believe I caught a glimpse of Big Ang in a bikini next week. Can’t wait for that one! Lol.

      • NJBev says:

-and from the quick glimpse we got, she doesn’t look all that
        bad~(but, omg, those boobs, ech)
this was a good re-cap, I give you tremendous credit for
sitting thru this debacle! I had to leave the room every 30
seconds, as Renee was making my brain bleed. floating on
the hot tub would have been more pleasant.
I use to be fond of Renee, the “poor little rich girl”. but,
holy Mother of Gawd is she an effin nightmare or what??

        • BB says:

It would be hard to be her friend.

        • jules says:

You’re cracking me up NJBev! I used to like Renee too but all the screaming, swearing and drama over nothing would make me crazy. I honestly don’t think I could remain friends with someone like that. When she started screaming at Ramona in the Pocono’s I thought her head was going to explode.

          • NJBev says:

            Right??
            she’s too, too, much.
–I can’t even think about her voice,
            like nails on a chalkboard!
            JUNIOR, JUNIOR, COME GET ME!!
            Could you imagine?

            • Called A Princess... says:

She is mentally unbalanced. She is on medication. Maybe she needs a new doctor and new med’s. The ones she is on now, really, are not working! IMO.

        • Powell says:

NJBev she says she wants them bigger. She’s tall but she’s gonna fall down w/bigger boobs.

    • mamecastle says:

Renee is just a confusing, mixed-up mess of a drama queen! She makes me tired. I watched The Sit Down after Mob Wives & was shocked when I saw (another histrionic drama queen) Ramona with what looked like 4 boobs! What was going on with that dress?! She blocked me for mentioning it, but it was BIZARRE! I wish that Karen would just either accept Drita’s apology or move on & stop all the 9th grade BS. I’m over it.

      • Powell says:

Drita & Karen would’ve eventually gotten thru their differences if it wasn’t for Ramona. You talk about stirring the pot, that’s Ramona. She’s been overseas. How can she come back & stir up so much?

  19. Rebecca says:

I am bummed that Michael Andretti got booted for the loss. No one seemed to bring up the fact that the Andretti team does not drive Buicks and perhaps did not want to be giving implied endorsement to his team’s competition. Seeing as this show is basically free press for Donald’s friends and he does get paid by these companies for being featured on the show, they were pretty insensitive to Michael’s situation.
    Kind of a double-standard, no?

    • BB says:

Then maybe Michael Andretti should have brought that up. That is something Donald Trump may have understood, but I think the Donald had already made up his mind that he was not going to let Michael off the hook for not stepping up as project manager for this task. Adam didn’t help matters by saying he wouldn’t be bringing in two members of the team back into the board room with him. If he had, then it probably would have only been Adam fired. I was not impressed with Mr. Andretti. He whimped out.

      • LynnNChicago says:

I agree with you BB, I don’t think Adam expected the Donald to fire two people just because he wouldn’t bring back 2 people. I think Adam fully expected to get fired alone, and I think that is what Donald should have done. I don’t think it was fair to fire Michael because he wasn’t project manager. I thought the whole idea was for the team to choose a project manager, not Trump! Just because he thought Michael should have been PM doesn’t mean it will happen. Otherwise they should change the rules and the Donald pick the PM for each team every week, otherwise he shouldn’t make decisions based on who steps up and who doesn’t.

Jumping off soap box, twisting ankle, won’t be doing that again! LOL

        • jules says:

ITA Lynn. I thought it was just plain mean to fire two people when Adam chose to take the bullet. I admire him for accepting responsibility and not laying the blame anywhere else; that’s what a real leader does. I could completely understand why Adam was the PM, he has a car show, he’s a performer and clearly much more comfortable on stage than Andretti. Trump always puts the PM on the spot at every firing, why punish the Men’s team because the PM does the right thing? This is one of the many things that drive me crazy about Trump.

I thought the men were going to win for sure. I actually muted most of the women’s presentation because I was embarrassed for them! And that red-haired girl, Aubrey…..she’s smart but geez louise is she annoying.

        • PussyGalore says:

Like him or not, it’s the Donald’s show. He is Celebrity Apprentice and the rules of the game are his to change or not to change. If someone chooses not obey the rules they do so at their own peril. It was pretty arrogant of Adam to think he could call the shots and foolish of him really to think that the Donald would allow someone else to control the outcome of his game. Not only would the Donald’s huge ego not allow a contestant to change the rules of the his game, he couldn’t let that precedent be set, because then everyone would be doing it.

In a sense the men’s team may have lost the task the minute Adam began to make light of the brand’s association with Tiger Woods. If looks could kill Adam would have died on the spot from the glares those two execs focussed on him. The heckling part of their presentation felt awkward to me as well but other than that I thought their presentation was better than the women’s.

IMHO the Donald fired the right people last night. There was never going to be a project more perfect for Michael Andretti, no matter what he might like to believe. His arguments were weak and I think if he’d been at the helm, putting his name on the project as the execs had hoped he would, the outcome would have been quite different. He let everyone down by not stepping into the leadership role and then delivering a lacklustre performance as a “spokesperson”. These are not the qualities of a leader and the Donald saw that.

Debbie is a huge PITA with a very inflated opinion of herself and her importance. And Aubrey, although seemingly quite creative and quick on her feet, is another egomaniac. Her talking head was embarrassing particularly considering the fact that she made such a major blunder, not once but twice, in mispronouncing the name of car.

Lou will likely be gone by the end of next week’s show since he is going to be Project Mgr. and he’s pissed everyone off by now. I’m thinking the women are going to win the next challenge and we’ll be stuck with Debbie and Aubrey for at least another week.

    • Donna says:

Wasn’t Michael’s son Marco supposed to be on Celebrity Apprentice and Michaael took his spot for Trump.

Trump put him in a bad position to endorse Buick and I could see he was unhappy that Trump tried to push him into project manager. The Andretti family endorses the Formula One racing autos and Trump knew that, thus putting him into an impossible situation and be bound by Formula One legal contract. Trump is no dummy. If I was in the Andretti family I would be furious with Trump.

    • ValleyVal says:

Rebecca, that was my initial thought that Michael Andretti did not want his brand associated with Buick. Therefore, he did not pursue the PM position on this task. I am disappointed because I am sure they know what being on this show entails and Mario was not thinking about his charity but about himself.
I think Adam on the other hand was pursuing perhaps an endorsement job from Buick and again was not thinking about his charity but himself. I’m glad to see both leave as the show is all about their charity and winning money for them.
Michael was the obvious choice as PM and it was a very costly mistake.

      • BB says:

The irony of it is I personally think the men should have won.

        • ValleyVal says:

          (Shhhh) me too :-/

        • Pghemtchick says:

I soooo dislike Teresa, but CA is making me want to like her. Seeing her lil girls running across the stage with their luggage was so cute! Then Joe ruined it. I can’t stand to even look at him. Anyways, I digressed! I thought the men put the facts out there and were more knowledgable. I think they should have won; however, the woman had an ace in the hole. They had Tillman (@tillmanskates)!!! I freaking love that dog! He’s one of the stars if not the star on Animal Planets “Petco presents who let the dogs out” Sat 10am est. I figured they won (unfortunately) as soon as Tillman skated by.

        • Donna says:

I just watched it again, during the presentation the women had more going on in the background with pics of the interior of the car showing different highlights, logos. Also they unveiled the car in the beginning. After taking a closer look I felt the women did truly win.

  22. Lulu says:

Does Bryson have a low IQ?? When Greg confronted him about why he stole razors. Eventually he stammered he didn’t think to pay. I think the best decision for Bryson would be to let him work with Peter. Peter can help him work and also guide him. Greg’s and Nene’s approach never worked why not try a new direction. I hope Bryson will straighten up and find a job that he’s passionate about.

    • NJBev says:

      that’s a good idea, Lulu,
Bryson should work for Peter. He could be an “intern” and start by
bussing tables. Peter talks the talk, now stand up and give the kid
a chance at your risk. Bryson does, after all, want to be in the restaurant
      business!
—seems like a no brain er~ appropriate for the individuals involved
      here. imo

      • LynnNChicago says:

Agree, that’s a great idea! Maybe we should propose it to Peter? I have to give the guy credit, he does seem genuinely interested in Bryson. Since his parents can’t get through to him, maybe Peter can.

Since the past 2 episodes I’ve noticed a completely different side of Peter. While Cynthia was away in Africa he watch his step daughter. You can tell they have a great relationship. He’s great with children and motivating them.

Wonder if Nene or Cynthia reads this blog??

Bryson wants his money for nothing and his chicks for free! Tough love with another new (used?) car and a debit card – NeNe, NeNe, NeNe!

      • Called A Princess... says:

Peter is a thug too. I would not want my child learning anything from him. I also do not think that Peter respects women. Talk about, out of the frying pan and into the fire. But NeNe is just myopic enough to let Peter handle her son. She is friends with Marlo, after all, another thug. These characters have no moral compass or understanding of basic history or personal security. NeNe seems to value the thug life, which is so 1993. I think she needs to grow up before she can expect her son to grow up. IMO.

Kudos Lynn. Glad a celebrity visited Today your blog and typed very nice things about you and the blog. I read many blogs but this is where I feel at home. I don’t understand where the “myth” about this blog and the people here comes from…jealousy comes to mind.
Well, when good things happen to nice people you can’t help it but to grin like I am right now.

OMIB, Where are you beautiful lady?….
    You’re a class act.
I wish you only the best (and hope you have the “dream boat” man you surely deserve!)
You’ve been through the school of hard knocks, with battle scars and all yet, rose above.
    I truly admire you.

  26. elizabeth says:

I thought that the men’s team won on CA. I didn’t like the “you suck” part by Paul…what was that all about?? BUT…I suspect that Donald Trump went to BUICK with the idea that Michael Andretti would be the project manager and this would give their new car the Andretti endorsement. Even Donald was surprised when Adam was chosen as the PM, and I think he was pissed. I think there was some wheeling and dealing on the Donald’s part, (between Buick and Trump) so therefore, he wanted Andretti fired for not stepping up. It was almost as if they choose Buick just for Andretti.

The Donald let the ladies have this one, because there was no way he was going to let Andretti make him look like a fool, and Adam went, because he refused to name two people (mainly Andretti). I saw it coming when he said 2 people were going to be fired.

    I wasnt wrong…

    • MelTheHound says:

I think Paul was a little WTF about that as well. I think they did it to give Lou someone to muscle off of the floor. I don’t care too much for him but Clay is correct. The Learning curve is over. I’ll add to that, on BOTH sides.

    • Donna says:

Marco was supposed to be on CA, but when his friend died he couldn’t continue, so Michael stepped up to the plate for Marco. Trump probably felt that Marco should have sucked it up. In retaliation Trump brought in Buick knowing full well that the Andretti family is sponsored and legally bound to Formula One brand. Trump understands branding and when one thinks of Formula One the mind goes go Mario Andretti family and team.

    • PussyGalore says:

No offense elizabeth………..I’m pretty sure about 99.9% of viewers knew who would be fired when the Donald made that comment.

  27. MelTheHound says:

Afternoon folks… Hope yours is a great one so far. Happy Birthday Waslurking! Hope your day is especially great.

I only watched CA and Mob Wives last night. I Listened to The Amazing Race and all I can tell you for sure about it is it was a non elimination round and Brenchel had yet another argument about something or other. I’ll watch it later and perhaps write more about it.

With CA, it never occurred to Me that Michael Andretti may be bound to another car company or type of car company and that’s why he may have been reluctant to publicly endorse the Buick. I really thought the men did better in the task though even if the execs didn’t want Campy and beer commercial. On the ladies side, I think my girl Teresa better step it up somehow. Tree falling in the woods sort of thing. I hope Donald isn’t really expecting her to act a fool for the cameras. She is absolutely right not to trust Debbie Gibson. IF Teresa gets to be a PM, she ought to leave Debbie on the ‘not cool’ bus. She’s basically useless on these tasks anyway, even her own.

Mob Wives- What can I say.. Remove Ramona from this crew and they would probably get along just fine for the most part. It stuns me that, on the show anyway, the queen of drama queens, Renee, doesn’t see that. One more thing, Ladies. Wearing FUR, to the Woods, During Hunting season? Not a bright move. Someone may mistake you for Sasquatch. WTF did they expect a cabin in the woods to be? Maybe they should contact Pheadra on how to get accommodations for a true rustic experience. Do any of these women have Jobs or are they all living off of the blood money from their ‘lifestyle’?

RHOA- I didn’t watch the show but read Lynn’s blog about it for a change. I’m going to reserve comment on most of it because I don’t want to start a casino here. I will say though, From Reading, even though I don’t care for the man, I’m firmly on Peter’s side here. Everything except having a black tie party for a 1 year anniversary. Maybe though, in his book, that’s a Long time? So better get the party in while they can? Who the F is Cynthia’s sister (and mother) to be counting their money, whether it exists or not? Cynthia better decide who her immediate family is going to be. Her Husband, or the one who Wants to Be her husband, her sister.

    Have a great one folks.

He does do a lot of primping and likes his collar just so. He even demands that I wash the collar once in awhile, in something color-safe of course.

In the case of the pictures though.. I get out 3 cookies. He’s all excited and ready to put on his show to get them. THEN, I get out the camera, he leaves, goes into the other room, and lays down. If I convince him to come back, he manages to sit Just close enough to the camera so that any little jerk of his head will result in a blurry shot. I have 1000s of them. I might as well put a blind fold on him and a cigarette in his mouth. He acts like he’s in front of a firing squad when I want to take a picture of him.

Oh well, I guess he wouldn’t be Mel, any other way. ;)

    • NJBev says:

I have to agree with you about CA. It never dawned on me either
that Andretti would pass on PM because of another car endorsement.
In hindsight, it makes perfect sense. But that’s why hindsight is 20/20,
and I’m blind as a bat.

    • Powell says:

      MTH,
Peter is just trying to front, trying to act like he has more than he does. Someone on here said why couldn’t he just take Cynthia to a special dinner just the two of them? He lost a business & probably had some unpaid debts, them started a new business & Cynthia did also, so where is all thisoney coming from? Is he robbing Peter, no pun intended, to pay Paul?

      • MelTheHound says:

All I’m saying is Where the money comes from is the business of only Peter and Cynthia. Not her mother and Certainly not her Sister. I’ve only based my thoughts on what I read in the blog but I agree, a nice dinner would have sufficed for Most people. I haven’t watched much of the season at all. Even what I Did watch, the African trip, was a let down. Most of them couldn’t leave the BS on the sidewalk at the airport and just enjoy the trip.

        • NJBev says:

          Powell and Jeff-
what got my attention in regards to the cost of the
party was when Cynthia said(i don’t know to who)
that Peter did a great job considering the tiny budget-
          10k.
I’m curious what everyone else thinks in regards to
10 grand being a tiny budget for a first wedding anniv,
          party-
personally, I don’t think that is such a small amount
if you’re not paying for the venue-

what i find so interesting is that the different regions
have such varying “expectations” of what a party should
be like and how much it should cost.

Hell, for 10 grand you could go on a beautiful trip-
I’ll take the trip, and someone can show me a video
          of the party~~

          • MelTheHound says:

I think it’s absolutely stupid to spend that kind of money on a party. I don’t know about hot-mess-lanta but Here, you can buy a home, do some basic renovations, and turn it into income property. For example, just sayin… However, it isn’t My money so if $10k is chump change to them, so be it. Club owners and party halls need cash too.

wow how cool!!!! – to have Kristen Johnston stop by!! Great job, Lynn, as always! – it would seem that class attracts class!

I don’t watch Atlanta – cannot stand any of them anymore, so when I want to know what kind of stupid went down, I check in here and Lynn tells me all – thank you for that!

that was a huge risk that the men took and although I did not see the show – family drama – I was surprised that the men lost – it sounded as though the women were not really prepared at all -

Lynn you are so right. Thk goodness for DVR/Tivo. I had both of them going last night in the basement & my bedroom. There’s so much for a TV junkie like me to watch.

  31. Jezzibel says:

I just watched the Shahs of Sunset:

GG- the princess of the group, looking for a rich husband/bankaccount to keep her in the lifestyle to which she has become accustom(no real redeaming qualtities unless you count being pretty on of them).

Mike-was successful in the Las Vegas housing market early on until the bottom fell out, he’s good looking and dates around alot, which pisses GG off, (he’s very family orintated and is looking to marry someone like his mother..eventually).

Reza-snappy dresser, but stirs the pot amongst his friends ALOT

MJ-Reza’s bestie, has major relationship issues due to her parents divorce at a young age.

Sammy- a rapidly aging player, gets along with MJ’s mom and has a playfully competative friendship with Reza

Asa-still trying to figure out why she’s there, she doesn’t fit in with the group(too much of a individual and money doesn’t seem to interest her) and they talk alot of smack behind back and to her face.

Out of the cast lineup Mike and MJ seem to be the most normal(for reality television) and have both experianced low points in their lives but have picked themselves up from it and moved on. The rest seem to have come from a privilaged background where they have never experianced real hardship(like their parents) or struggled(like their parents).

    • Powell says:

I’m watching it this weekend. Ryan Seacrest is making more money. That boy just keeps hearing the cash register ring. Ca Ching.
