LynnNChicago  Real Housewives of Orange County

“Be nice, it confuses them.”  Vicki’s new mantra is certainly working for her.  Suddenly she’s screaming “Happy Birthday” to Slade Smiley and wishing Gretchen all the best with big hugs at her Pussycat Doll performance.  Is this all for show because her new love Brooks is in the room?  Does anyone think for one minute that it’s not as fake as a three dollar bill?

Another mean girl night in Orange County, first as Gretchen visits her “friend” Alexis to view her Fox 5 News segment, Gretchen is sure to tell Alexis that they asked her to do the show first, not only that but they continue to call her and “beg” her to do the show.  Really Gretchen?  It wasn’t bad enough that she mentioned it but she had to go on and on about it.  Even if it’s true, it was a lousy thing to say.  Gretchen made it seem as if Fox 5 wanted her but settled for Alexis.  What. A. Bitch.

Gretchen Rossi @GretchenRossi  Don’t lose incredible opportunites due to fear, haters or bullies! When you are 90 and looking back do you want to regret anything?

That’s great advice Gretchen, you should also not stomp on people on your way up.  Just food for thought.

Laurie Peterson and Vicki Gunvalson were reunited on Watch What Happens Live last night, both ladies agreed that Gretchen was an evil bitch for what she said to Alexis about Fox 5.  Ok they didn’t call her an “evil bitch” but it wasn’t nice.

“Gretchen tried to hurt Alexis all season” Vicki told us.  ”Alexis doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, I really like her”

The ladies also agreed about Tamra Barney.  Andy asked Laurie who she thought was this seasons biggest trouble maker and she immediately said that Tamra was really catty and it was surprising this year, Vicki nodded her head in agreement.

Head mean girl in charge, Tamra Barney was sure to get in her share of mean comments tonight.  She managed to slam Vicki’s boyfriend Brooks.  ”Brooks is a really nice guy but I think he’s full of bullshit”.    I’m sure that made Vicki feel all warm and fuzzy.

As the group traveled from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to see Gretchen perform, the discussion of cars came up.  Tamra is looking to buy herself an Cadillac Escalade, you know since gas prices are coming down….not!  Tamra is shocked to learn that Alexis owns a Cadillac Escalade, “No she doesn’t!”.   Well yes she does Tamra, so obviously Tamra has to make nasty comments about the Bellino’s having a new car every week and a new house every week.  Jealousy is ugly Tamra.

Honestly I believe there was not one talking head interview of Tamra’s that was nice or in any way positive, she just keeps digging at everyone.  She’s a horrible woman!  The only nice thing I can say about her is that she looks a whole lot better after her breast implant removal surgery.

Heather managed to get her usual digs in to Alexis tonight, it’s getting really old and tired, she struggles every week to come up with something to criticize.  I just wish Heather would shut the hell up sometimes, she’s quite annoying, but then so are the rest of them.

Vicki rattled off all of Gretchen’s business ventures and then added, “jack of all trades, master of none”.  One of Gretchen’s fans Tweeted:

Viewer:  2 seasons ago Vicki slammed everyone for not working, now she slams u for working to much, UGH!

Gretchen agreed with the sentiment with a resounding “seriously”

Gretchen Rossi@GretchenRossi  Seriously!

@GretchenRossi   @BravoAndy remind vicki tonight that when she says I’m a jack of all trades, all the stuff she has attempted to do to no avail. Vicki lynn jeans, Celia eyelash stuff, robes, her book, dioxin, now wines by wife’s! What a joke! And hyprocrite again!

Andy didn’t mention Gretchen’s tweet to Vicki, not even on the AfterShow.

Brooks is a strange bird, he tells a life affirming little story and the geniuses of Orange County didn’t get it.  I guess it only translates well in Mississippi, or maybe it can’t get through all the blonde hair and fake boobs.  Jim Bellino got it.

If you missed last night’s episode, do not worry, you didn’t miss Gretchen’s Pussycat Doll performance.  I know you’re all concerned that you’re going to miss it but Bravo was sure to drag it out to next week.  Not only has this been the only topic of discussion between Gretchen and Slade all season but they’re dragging out this whole storyline, apparently they’ve got nothing else.

Alexis and Heather actually do have something in common.  Both ladies sat down with their husbands on tonight’s episode to discuss their career.  Let’s start with Alexis.

After the disappointing viewing of her Fox 5 news segment with Gretchen, Alexis decides that she needs a coach to help her with her interviewing skills.  Someday she would like to host her own show.  Jim Bellino is less than supportive as he wants her to think it through.  Every step toward her career is another step away from the family and back to having several nanny’s for the kids.  This isn’t what Jim wants for his kids, he wants Alexis to raise their children.

Jim is clearly not happy about the Fox 5 gig and while Alexis reminds him that it’s only one day a week, Jim knows that with a coach it will take up more of her time and that it could certainly turn into more time on the air.  Alexis argues that all of her careers are part time and she’s still managing to care for the children.  Still, Jim is not on board here.  While Alexis doesn’t say much, she has plenty to say in her talking head interview, “he’s just going to have to deal with it”.  But he isn’t dealing with it, as of today, Alexis no longer does the Fox 5 segment.

Heather discusses her career with her husband Terry.  If you read between the lines, the conversation was actually pretty similar to Alexis and Jim.  Terry wants to know who will care for the kids if Heather gets a full time job as an actress, she had gone on a casting call for a “dramedy” show that will be shooting in Canada.  Terry isn’t happy.  He reminds his wife that when she is acting in a show, she’s gone for up to 12-hours a day and since Heather told her friend she felt guilty leaving her youngest daughter for a few hours just to audition, how will she feel leaving her for days and days at a time.

Heather tells her husband that she doesn’t want to regret putting her career on hold for her family and he says that he understands how she feels.  Similar to the Beverly Hills Housewives, it isn’t as if Heather can jump right back in to acting after leaving to have her children.  Unlike most professions, it is next to impossible to walk right in and get a job in that field.  In this economy it is hard to get a job in any profession but acting is probably the most difficult.

In the end Terry says all the right things, he tells his wife if she wants to do this job in Canada, he will pack up the family, have the kids and a tutor on set and even joked about doing Botox on Canadians.  Do Canadians get Botox?  Ah well… it looked as if Terry said all those things knowing that it would be a longshot that Heather would get the gig anyway.

Today both Heather and Alexis continue to raise their children at home.  Sorry Heather, you’re not so different from Alexis.

All four of the ladies with their significant others joined Gretchen in Las Vegas to watch her Pussycat Doll performance.  Yes, even Jim Bellino joins Alexis as she tells us that last year Jim refused to be among these women, this year if he wants to be with his wife, he has no choice but to join the group, it’s what you do for love.  Anyway… Heather tells us that the place is packed and there is excitement in the air.

As long as Bravo is making us wait for this, it better be good but I’m not holding out high hopes.  Next week we see Vicki apologize to Gretchen for the Bunco Party fight but apparently Gretchen doesn’t feel as if she owes Vicki an apology.  I guess that “nice” Gretchen is gone forever.  Well done.

Gretchen had a mini Twitter war ending in her telling a viewer to “go to hell”

Gretchen Rossi @GretchenRossi  Why does Vicki keep saying “now that briana is cancer free” She never had cancer! Slade and I know what cancer is like!

Gretchen Rossi ‏ @GretchenRossi  @pinkrosepetalz go to hell, I AM the expert out of these woman when it comes to cancer.

A Viewer to:  @BravoAndy why is@vgunvalson demeaning GretchenRossi, is it insecurity or jealousy! #wwhl

Gretchen Rossi @GretchenRossi  Yeah Andy what do u think?

Gretchen did not have a great night on Twitter….

Vicki told us on WWHL that she saw Bethenny and Jason at dinner before appearing on the show!

I would have happily brought you Tamra’s defense on Twitter but the moron blocked me so she’s on her own.

Dancing with the Stars- Week 6: Gettin’ Down With Motown!

Last week, Santana brought the house down with his Latin inspired rhythms, and this highly anticipated week, we more than welcome Motown hit makers-Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves, and The Temptations who all will grace the stage singing our favorite tunes live as each couple performs classical ballroom dances.  The delightful surprise of the evening was also seeing Berry Gordon, the one who started it all!  Whoa!  Even more so, #DWTS is blessed to have Gladys Knight (a Motown alumni) as one of its contenders who has worked extremely hard to make it this week paying homage to her own as well fellow Motown legends.  While many are reminiscing on their favorite Motown hit and wondering which couple will surprise them with their Motown song and dance, others are happily playing catch up to remember the Motown era…period.  Nevertheless, it’s week six where competition is high, more is at risk, and all that is left for this week to is to rely on Motown to deliver what the fans wish to see, but more significantly to execute a dance that will wow the judges on every level; this week the “dance duel” continues meaning no matter how many times fans vote, the judges will ultimately determine out of the bottom two couples, who will be saved and who will head home…Let’s break week six down.

Gladys Knight, our Motown Girl, Rumbas her way to the Temptations singing “My Girl,” a timeless classic that will never get old and can only bring joy to any and every one.  Len Goodman contends, if he “can judge purely with [his] heart, [Gladys] would be at the top of his list,” but in general her Rumba failed to win over the judges entirely.  Where the Rumba is an overall smooth and continuity type of dance, Gladys was a bit choppy, slightly forgetful with the movements, and inconsistent.  But it’s Gladys Knight!  Who cares?  It’s Motown week and she is definitely our Motown Girl.  Roshon also danced the Rumba with Smokey Robinson singing “Cruisin’” a hit that is wins half the battle for him right there.  I thought he was graceful, in the moment, and enjoying himself, but I do agree with the judges: he was aggressive at times and too forward for the Rumba.  That’s the youth in Roshon that completely juxtaposes the Rumba we saw as danced by Gladys.  For #DWTS, his hip hop background is a challenge he will have to transcend should he continue on to the finals, because the judges will hold him accountable with every dance just like they did this week.

Maria Menounos performed the Fox Trot and came out appearing like Cinderella.  She always looks beautiful but being sixth week…beauty is not always enough.  She slipped, which affected her performance.  She became behind in the music and was doing her best to get her trot back.  Nevertheless, it could always be worse and surprisingly Len was at her defense; oddly enough he usually is the one who is the most technical especially during the week of the classical dances…after all he’s a classic right?  Who is judging harshly this week anyway?  With Martha Vandella on the mic and Maria Menounos aka Cinderella dancing the night away on the ballroom floor, she would never have to worry about turning into a pumpkin.  And in true “Donald” fashion, Donald Driver also danced the Fox Trot with the Temptations backing him up.  He is a dance partner’s dream on the show, because he truly knows how to partner extremely well. Because he is a strong partner, he’ll thrive in the upcoming weeks relying on this factor to consistently serve as a positive for him. Regardless of his few hiccups, Donald Driver is here to stay until the finals…let’s keep it this way!

Katherine Jenkins danced the Samba this week to the Temptations “Can’t Get Next to You” which was an interesting choice especially since this week’s theme was Motown, but I must admit…Katherine had SOUL.  Motown will always do that!  Even the late and great Teena Marie had soul!  Katherine was shimmy-ing and shaking it with a definitive soul we have never seen before or even knew was a possibility for her!  I’ve been a fan of Katherine since day one and my admiration for her increases each week as we near towards the finals.  Once again, I ironically find myself agreeing with Len in that Katherine is a “midwife who keeps delivering each week.”  Another “fish out of water” dance this week was the Cha, Cha, Cha danced by Jaleel White.  Last week he was thankfully saved in the “dance duel” and I’m glad he experienced that, because we finally get to see what I’ve begged for this entire season: soul!  He is now dancing like he means it!  I’m sure the Temptations song helped him out to ease up and just have fun, but I’m slowly beginning to like Jaleel again….and I’m not the only one.  The judges were also on his side, which is great for his confidence that will hopefully shine through in his upcoming performances.

Melissa Gilbert danced the Viennese Waltz to Smokey Robinson singing “Oooh Baby Baby!”  I along with many others love this song and I’m sure Melissa Gilbert did too, because her dance was beautiful.  All judges agreed that her lines, connection with her dance partner and the song, and her rotation were magnificent.  I’m most certainly on the same page with Bruno when he stated that Melissa Gilbert is “really going in the right direction.”

One of my favorite elements of Ballroom dancing is when all couples are dancing at the same time competing to see which couple will be the last one remaining.  I love when #DWTS introduces the classic elements of ballroom like this, because not only do we feel like we are live in Las Vegas, it’s as if this is a real ballroom competition.  Couples get to really show every trick and treat here…but only one will last.  Not only does this introduce a “survival of the fittest” aspect here, it foreshadows who will most likely win the Golden Ball! I was not surprised that Katherine Jenkins was the final winner of this challenge…William Levy was sliding across the floor way too much!  That definitely was not going to happen for him.

Motown week on #DWTS has been an amazing one!  Not only has it been a string of dances with classic and timeless hits, but also this week is unique in that we have gone forward and backwards at the same time with the magic of Motown music.  “The Results” Show is proof of this…when was the last time you saw Boys II Men?  That’s right…yesterday…live on the stage of #DWTS. Unfortunately, the major surprise of the night was seeing our Motown Empress-Ms. Gladys Knight- head home on a “Midnight Train to Georgia.”  Once again, the “dance duel” serves as the mechanism for how the judges determine who will stay and who will not.  So for the next weeks, it’s crucial that everyone gets those votes in to keep their Star from falling in the bottom two and possibly getting eliminated.

  1. Powell says:

    Morning. It’s Wednesday, hump day.

  2. LizzieLou says:

If they don’t show the Pussycat Doll’s thing next week, I give up! Didn’t know it was possible to drag something out for sooooo long.

I do feel bad for Lex though. She seemed to enjoy the Fox 5 job, and I have to hand it to her for recognizing she could use some improving and asked about a coach.

    Jim had a chin implant?

    • Powell says:

I didn’t watch last night. No PCD performance yet? Dang. They are just dragging it out cause they didn’t tape anything substantial I guess.

  3. Fargo Fan says:

Andy did actually mention Gretchen’s tweet to/about Vicky’s other business ventures on the show. Vicky said something about how they were “side projects” and that her insurance business was the main one and the one that really mattered. Blah, blah, more stuff spewing from Vicky.

  4. nomoredrama (formerly housewifeaddict) says:

    Great blog and good morning.

I finally watched OC and was struck by how much smack talking the ladies do about Alexis. Don’t they have anything better to talk about when they are together? Seriously, why are Tamra and Heather so obsessed with her? Heather’s hubby is as bad as she is, but why in the world does Eddie put up with Tamra. He seems like a nice enough guy.

Andy did read Gretchen’s text to Vicki on WWHL and Vicki blew it off saying that those things were just hobbies but her real business is insurance. Jeesh she can’t give an inch.

    • LizzieLou says:

I think they crap all over Alexis because she really doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. They talk trash and she refuses to sink to their level. I guess it’s easy for them to pick on her since she doesn’t really fight back. But it just makes Tamra and Gretchen look even worse. I thought it was nice when Lex went backstage to pray with Gretch before the show, and didn’t like when that Robin lady and Gretchen kind of laughed it off. I thought it was a sweet gesture.

      • MaryE says:

I think they pick on her for the same reason NJ picks on Teresa…because they believe she is the easiest target (braninless). OK, perhaps Teresa deserves it a bit more, but they are all the bullies in the schoolyard picking on the weakest.

        • MelTheHound says:

….. and yet it is Teresa who has the cookbooks, some have been on the best seller list IIRC, she was invited to be on Celebrity Apprentice (or auditioned and was accepted). While they all sit around the table and complain about what a bitch she is for a few lines in a cookbook. SHE’s the dumb one. Okay, Got it. (where’s the eye roll smiley ?)

          • e-rizzle says:

I wouldn’t say so much Teresa is to credit for all that, per se, but more so for taking the opportunity. Her PR people et al are to credit for all *that.*

            • MelTheHound says:

Okay, We’ll go with that. Why can’t the others do the same thing? I mean if this ‘idiot’ Teresa can do it, why can’t all the people ‘above’ her who insist on tearing her down? I’m not talking about the husbands and what each family may have had Before the show. I’m speaking specifically of the HouseWives here. How ever she came about what she’s doing outside of the show, she’s managed to do it but, She’s the dumb one. Something about that just doesn’t align for me.

Instead of going out and getting Theirs, they sit around the table nipping at Teresa’s ankles like little annoying dogs that never stfu. I know a couple of them have done a couple things. Not saying they are completely lazy here.

              • VV says:

Teresa has charisma. The others don’t. Q commented this on her blog and I think she is right.
No PR people can’t get you that. I also think, she is a hard worker and is making the most with the opportunities she has been given.

                • MelTheHound says:

                  :D ..

                  • Called A Princess... says:

I think that Teresa is interesting and she shows up for the work. The others are like Kim ZeeBee, they want the work to come to them easily, without much effort. Teresa puts forth effort and she does not need the approval of the other cast members to show up for the outside ventures. I bet that the women have been offered things that they were not willing to do, because they seemed like too much effort for the pay off. I think Teresa is more willing to take risks, and they turn out to make money in the end. JMO.

                    • MelTheHound says:

+1 there. Though comparing Any of them to KimZ (took me awhile to figure out what ZeeBee was) is apples and grapefruits. She has to be among the laziest of them all. SWEEETIEEEE! I guess she can’t say that anymore though.

          • kit9 says:

T is dumber than dirt. The only reason she’s on CA-which is no big deal, let’s be honest, btw, is because she’s a lunatic they hope will flip out and get violent as she tends to do. That’s the only reason she’s there. And, it don’t take a genius to put out a cook book. Bethenny did it and T stole her Skinny hook. And, it’s hardly worth being jealous over…all the money she’s gotten from the book is going to go straight to all the people she owes money to.

        • Delia says:

Teresa is by far the weakest. She’s a bulldog on crack

          • MelTheHound says:

I don’t see the connection. Knowing what I know about crackheads, they will do Anything to get their fix, including kill. A bulldog on Crack would be a Very dangerous animal and Far from weak. If you truly believe Teresa is the weakest however, that’s fine but I tend to disagree.

            • bzt says:

Agree..weakest what? She is singlehandedly pulling her family out of debt to a higher and better place. Takes a strong woman to take on what she is doing and a smart one.

              • MelTheHound says:

                :D

                • Called A Princess... says:

Maybe the tension on the show against Teresa comes down to the fact that she is the most popular person on the show. The other cast members can not handle it because they all are very controlling and they want to control Teresa right off the show, seemingly with the help of Andy Cohen and the graceless Bravo edit. Which never seems to be fair to the viewer or the cast members from Housewives show to Housewives show. IMO. The show would be boring without Teresa and her children.

                  • MelTheHound says:

The show would be boring without Teresa and her children.
                    *****
That’s for certain. Imagine. Life tips from Mama Manzo and a Serenade From MeGo.. Now THAT’S enterTainment.

                    • gypsy says:

I agree T is entertaining to watch. However her and Joe are criminals and anyone given her opportunities from being on the show, anyone would do the same, it does not make her hard working. The fact that we never saw her family on TV until they were signed on says it all. She is not all about family.
She is uneducated and was not born in Italy like she claims. Her lies insult our intelligence.

      • Catseye says:

I agree. I also think there is a big element of jealousy going on with those women. Alexis is beautiful, has a knock-out figure, happily married with kids. She also has been pretty successful with her dress line, the Fox5 segments and even appeared on General Hospital. Gretchen has hooked up with someone who is more of a pimp than partner, Tamra is getting older, more jealous and meaner by the minute, same with Heather (who is very unattractive to begin with)–and sorry, I NEVER heard of her before this show.

        • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

I’m not sure they’re jealous… at least not all of them. They are all very attractive and have great shapes. I’m quite sure Gretchen considers herself successful and Heather certainly wouldn’t be jealous in that regard… maybe Tamra but they surely don’t covet Alexis and Jim’s relationship. As sweet as Alexis is, she always bugged me and honestly since I’ve had a change of heart this season, I can’t remember all the reasons. She does act like everyone want what she has although that’s not coming through as much this year. She can be very naive and come across a bit ditzy. She’s easy for the women to pick on… mean girls will do that.

          • gypsy says:

Tamera is such a negative person, she really is truly ugly on the inside. Every season she has to have someone to bully. I can’t stand her. I also do not care for Gretchen and her back stab to Alexis who was a true friend. Also Gretchen and that stupid baby talk gets under my skin. She is full of herself. A real friend would never of told Alexis they offered her the TV gig first, which btw I don’t believe for a minute, her mannerisms tells me she was lying. Besides Alexis there is not one likable person on the OC.

      • Forte2005 says:

I agree 100 percent! Alexis is such a sweet girl.. Tamara is just well she is just evil!!! I guess Gretchen thinks she is all too important.. Good luck with that..

Ps. I want in on the book club !

  5. vilzvet says:

Saw some of the show last night but switched to baseball and the battle of the Japanese pitchers in Texas. Will watch it this morning.
Hey Lynn, on my Facebook page it says you “like” Kelly Killoren Bensimon. Please correct that immediately, heheh.

    • LynnNChicago says:

haha I noticed that on a few other people too, do you suppose Kelly hacked into all of our Facebook pages? I honestly did not “like” her

      • JustDee says:

Eeeek! I’d better go check my page!

      • AZGirl says:

Yep it is on my Facebook page. How did she pull that one off. Now all your friends have you sponsor Kelly and “like” her.

      • plainviewsue says:

It’s on my page too about you liking her!! By the way, the other day (I never followed her), I went into her twitter account and it turns out she blocked me! Wonder why…………………..

        • LynnNChicago says:

I found out what that is…Kelly bought an ad on Facebook that has her showing that YOUR friends “Like” Kelly…it’s a pretty smart marketing ploy actually. Obviously she didn’t come up with it herself.

          • vilzvet says:

Wow talk about dishonest. Did they come to my house and put their finger on the “like” button?

Kristen: Prayers and good thoughts going your way and Pinky’s!

    • vilzvet says:

Where is the dinner recap?! Where did you lovely ladies go?

      • Cusi77 says:

Vilzvet_ It went amazing! Lynn is adorable! We talk for hours about HW’s, life, values, she is like the friend one always knew and we met after sometime and the friendship is still the same! She is very calm, fun to be around, the one you see (and hear with Carly!) exactly the same! Super friend, super woman, beautiful inside and out! We took a photo, probably Lynn will talk about… Thanks for asking!

        • vilzvet says:

Wonderful! We still need to set up a New York get together for those close to here…do you ever get to go to NY, Cusi?

        • MelTheHound says:

Glad you had a good time Cusi. I know you were so looking forward to it. You’ll have to give a full report on your Chi-Town trip when you get settled back home. :)

        • LynnNChicago says:

I had an amazing time! Cusi is the sweetest most wonderful woman ever!
I had such a great time and I can’t wait until Cusi moves to Chicago for good so that we can get together on a regular basis!
I can’t wait to get to know her better. Love you Cusi!!! xo

          • vilzvet says:

Oh you’re “Leaving Las Vegas”, Cusi? Did not know that…I’ve been dying to go there, it was cool to see a little bit of it on OC last night. I was only there once when I was 16; too young to do anything!

            • COCfarm says:

Do tell where you went to go eat and do you recommend it? I love restaurant reviews!

I’m trying The Girl and Goat in a few weeks for my birthday. Can’t wait.

              • lizzle says:

They did “A Day in the Life” on the chef/ owner of Girl in the Goat. It is on hulu.com. I watched it last night. The chef was a Top Chef winner and she is an extremely hard worker. They are opening a diner/ bread bakery across the street as well called the “Little Goat” or something to that effect. You Chicago peeps might know all this already. Anyways… it looks like an amazing place to eat.

                • COCfarm says:

Yeah, I wanted her to win. I am a Top Chef junkie although I don’t understand 90% of what they are doing and am a horrible cook. But I love that show. That’s why I picked it for my bday but haven’t yet been there. Boca owners are part owner in Girl/Goat and I love Boca…but it’s pricey. I’ll let you know what I think of it if you want to know. Can’t wait. I will look for that show on Hulu. Thanks for the heads-up. Randolf st in Chicago is a very serious restaurant row.

                  • lizzle says:

I definitely want to hear about your dinner! The have a dish there called Pig Face that is literally made from the meat of a pig face.
The hulu show is created/ narrated by the guy who did Supersize Me.

              • COCfarm says:

I have to move back over here where there is more room! I will report on Girl/Goat. I can attest to Frontera Grill being pretty wonderful…Rick Bayless’s first restaurant.

Lizzle, are you a designer? Artist? I take it you aren’t around Chicago. Where abouts are you?

                • LynnNChicago says:

Ramona ate at Girl and the Goat when she was in town! :)

Cusi and I went to the Pump Room

                  • COCfarm says:

Wow! Fancy! How is it since it reopened? I haven’t been there in 20 years.

Funny about Ramona…but makes sense…a Bravo connection.

          • RabbleRouser says:

So glad to hear you both had a wonderful evening.

            • LynnNChicago says:

The Pump Room is very modern and doesn’t have that cozy feel anymore. I hadn’t been there in about 10-years and it doesn’t even look like the same place anymore.
All the celebrity photos are in the lower level now, by the bathrooms :) The food was outstanding and of course the service perfect.

But the best part was the company! :)

  8. Sus says:

Do we know if Alexis quit her Fox gig or was she not asked back? I thought Jim was being a jerk but I also thought Alexis wasn’t exactly Katie Couric either. I’ve seen two of her segments on Fox and they looked very unprofessional.

    • NoHausFrau says:

ITA Sus. Gretchen was a little biotchy pointing out that they asked her first but maybe she was waiting for Alexis to thank her for the recommendation and then when a thank you didn’t come got pissy and mentioned how they keep asking her. She did give her some good advice about getting a coach. Alexis needed help.

    • Pghemtchick says:

She doesn’t show on their staff page. I would think she would show up as a reporter/host. I just googled Fox 5 Alexis and two videos popped up. One was a cooking segment I made :20 seconds through. She’s wearing the same blue top with a black cami looking thing under it so her boobs stay in at least. Between her and the guy it was just very uncomfortable and seemed the same kinda sloppy as her other segments. I would have watched more, but I’m not into torture.

  9. JustDee says:

I read the book – because I really wanted to participate in the book club. It took me four tries. Sigh. The only reason I read the whole thing is because I NEVER leave a book unfinished.

That said, I don’t feel I can give my true opinion on a book when the author is lurking around, lol. I would LOVE to have an “Open Discussion” Book Page with the book club selections added to that instead of only discussing one pre-selected book.

    • LynnNChicago says:

Thanks for your input Dee, I never thought of that, we can certainly have a discussion without the author present then we can see if she’ll answer questions later if there are any.

I guess I thought it was a plus to have the author…never thought about the negative side. Thanks again Dee!

      xoxo

      • JustDee says:

        Thanks Lynn :)
I didn’t want to seem ungrateful and I think it’s a huge “Get” for you to have authors. It’s just when the author is around I don’t feel comfortable saying anything unless it’s all positive.

        • RabbleRouser says:

Try not to feel that way Dee, think of the title of the person who reviews books and/or movies, they are called a ‘critic’ for a reason. :D

I also feel with this book, that most of the discussion I will bring is about my own experiences with motherhood and life.

          • JustDee says:

            Good Point RR!
I’m not a mom so maybe that’s why I didn’t find it as funny. (Though I used to LOVE Erma Bombeck back in the day. She kept me ROFLMAO)

            • RabbleRouser says:

I remember hearing about Erma when I was a kid, but I am not too familiar with her.

You might be a mom but everyone was a child, so I am sure you can make lots of interesting contributions.

  10. Mel says:

I don’t think Heather and Terry’s conversation and Alexis and Jim’s convo were the same at all. Terry was being realistic, given they have a baby now and a move to another country to work would be pretty difficult on the family. However, he was extremly supportative and told her if this is what she wants to do then he will support her 100 percent. On the other hand….JIm’s conversation, although i am sure he was trying to be realistic in his mind……the tone was extremly barbaric to me. I didn’t get any support. It wasn’t like Alexis was moving to another country to work long hours (like a movie set) it was one hour a week for crying out loud.

Alexis continues to impress me with her attitude. She doesn’t try to insult anyone and is pretty much a happy go lucky person. I feel bad that i threw so much shade at her in the beginning. It doesn’t always mean i agree with everything she says (i think she is a bit closed minded at times) but she is a sweet person overall. I did think Gretchen was a little rude when she mention that Alexis was second choice. There was no need to even say that….especially to Alexis. Overall i did think that Gretchen gave her good advice about the coaching.

    • RabbleRouser says:

I agree, there is a big difference with spending what will have to be at least a few days a week, for several weeks in another country than driving from Orange County to San Deigo once a week.

There are only a few reasons I can think of that Jim would want to keep Alexis from doing it. One being he is a cave man and is probably afraid that Alexis might meet someone else…the other might be a little more noble, that it’s clear Alexis isn’t very good at it and he’s trying to save her the embarrassment.

It was totally a bitch move on Gretchen’s part when she mentioned that they went to her first. I remember when Lynn Curtin told Gretchen how the purse people went to her first how she went off the rails.

      • Brigid says:

I so agree about Gretchen’s comment. I was yelling at the TV when she did that. In my industry all my colleagues are friends and we are always up for the same opportunities. Some times you get it, some times a friend does, some times you both do. Anyone in my industry that acts the Gretchen did in that moment would have NO friends. Her behavior was petty and small, and clearly showed she felt threatened deep down. Disappointing to watch.

        • Catseye says:

As money hungry as greedy Gretchy is, I highly doubt they actually offered her the job first–or she would have jumped at the opportunity. And how would she even know anyway? I thought her voice mail said that all calls for her needed to go through Slade.

    • RabbleRouser says:

But, I think Alexis tosses in her own gabs re: the comment about how Heather calls herself an actress but having never seen Heather before. While it’s true, it was a jab. Just because she pulls less punches, doesn’t mean she doesn’t make a fist.

If she was as really sweet as she is pretending, why would she be so upset and feel betrayed over Tamra and Gretchen and the prospect of ‘forgiveness’?

She might not be the snake that hisses the loudest in the viper pit, but she is still a snake.

    • Brigid says:

I took Lynn to mean they were discussing the same topic – not that the tone or outcome was similar.

      • Leah Brady says:

I agree….I have tried to get on the Alexis bandwagon since most people on this blog love her and I tend to agree with most everything Lynn says. Every week Alexis tries so hard to prove to us how PERFECT her life is, how HAPPY she is, and how WONDERFUL her husband is. Someone that spends so much time convincing everyone is really trying to convince themselves. I think Alexis is very insecure and its clear by her “one-upping” the other housewives constantly. She is certainly not a class act in my book!!!

        • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

See that’s what bugs me about Alexis… it seems she wants everyone to want what she has. And her tag line this year grates me… it’s so superior. I know many of the tag lines are over the top, but hers is directed at the audience and I think that is snooty.

  11. AZGirl says:

Good Morning everyone. My thoughts go out to Kristen and Pinky. Last night Heather came across like she is just bored with her kids and her husband and wants out. Her concern for leaving her kids seemed unsincere and forced. Her husband would move his practice to Canada????? Doesn’t he have to get licensed? I don’t think so.

Gretchen and Slade make me want to vomit. That t-shirt Slade was wearing says it all “Housewife hunter” with a target. Real funny Slade.

@Cusi and Lynn: Hope you had a great time last night.

Re: HWONJ. We need to petition Bravo to make sure all future filming that Juicy Joe has a shirt on. Joey can film exclusively with his shirt off at all times :)

    • Lady Chatterley says:

I second your NJ petition on both counts. :)

    • MaryE says:

Go back and watch Season 2…Slade is exactly the same with Jo. Controlling, lying about his $, etc. He shows up in various episodes with an “Obey” tshirt.

      • AZGirl says:

        Slade is a man whore.

      • e-rizzle says:

        Isn’t “Obey” a clothing company?

        • lizzle says:

Obey was a logo by graffiti artist, Shepherd Fairy, who also did the Obama “Hope” logo (and got sued, BTW) He is from Charleston, SC. His Andre the Giant Obey stickers and graffiti are everywhere there. He went to school up north and I think that is where he got big. So the clothing line is a place for his images. Surfers and skaters love the clothing line, so it probably was hip in the OC around that time.

          • Brigid says:

Yay lizzle busting out with the art world facts. You rock! ;)

            • lizzle says:

I worked in a coffee shop in Charleston, SC for years. I would talk to the local artists and heard a lot about Shepherd Fairey. There was another artist there who went to the same college as Fairey and he was very successful too. He had his stuff featured in Rolling Stone and other popular magazines. I looked it up, but the school is Rhode Island School of Art and Design.

          • COCfarm says:

Love his stuff. Too cool. But everyone is ripping it off now.

    • RabbleRouser says:

Oh and that shirt thing with Slade, I would bet my right arm that he is going to try and ‘sell’ them. D-bag.

  12. California35 says:

    Good morning!

I had not read about Kristen Lucky :-( poor thing (both of them). I wish them well.

    Sorry I missed a few birthdays –

I hope everyone has a nice day!

      Sorry, Pinky not Lucky.

Wow that’s an uplifting story. Never lose hope. I’m praying for Pinky. All of our fur babies are so precious to us. I just wish they lived longer.

  13. kendo says:

I would love to see Alexis get a major role on another show. She is this years punching bag! I wish I had her attitude! She takes a lot of punches and just keeps going.

Does anyone wonder why Jeanna is selling her house? Maybe to get rid of her husband?

What has happened to Michael M? Did I miss something?

  14. MelTheHound says:

Good Morning friends. I hope you all enjoy your day. To whomever is having birthday today, have a great one. To all the MIAs, you know I’m always sending you my best thoughts.

Kristen Johntson, I’m sorry to hear about your beautiful dog. I would be losing my mind if I found out similar news about my hound.

All I can say about watching RHOC is that I’m glad RHONJ is back on for me to get my HWs fix. Bringing something down from Lynn’s blog to expand on it a bit.

“That’s great advice Gretchen, you should also not stomp on people on your way up. Just food for thought.”

It should be added that she is going to trip over these same people on the way back down. If these people have to constantly slam Alexis to elevate themselves, that tells me far more about them then it will ever say about Alexis. From what I’ve read here, Gretchen is just yet another HW that thinks she can start a singing career of some sort. Gag me now and stab my ears with an ice pic say The Hound and I. I’ve only seen one out of the entire set of HWs who Could sing worth a damn and that is Kandi from ROHA. I guess Gretchen is trying so I’ll give her that. However, with these people apparently constantly bashing Alexis, what I Did watch of the season, I found nothing offensive about her. Not one bit.

    I guess that’s a lot to say about a show I don’t watch so I’ll stop now.

Have a great one everybody and be sure to check out the Survivor recap tomorrow morning.

                  Ha! “Kickstands”

                • Elizabeth says:

MTH, or Jeff, if I may…It never crossed my mind if you were gay, lol. I was excited to learn you was a man…because you know…”Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus”, type of thing. I’m amazed at your thought process because you say the things I be thinking. I often find myself agreeing with you.

Not being nosey, but what age range are you in?

                  • Elizabeth says:

Hey all. I actually got a tweet back from Tamra last night.
    Sue Cohen‏@plainviewsue

@TamraBarney I’d always found you to be amusing, but what u say about Alexis ALL the time is so catty & so unfunny. Leave it alone already.

    Tamra Barney‏@TamraBarney

@plainviewsue I hear ya. But when they ask me my opinion in my interviews I have a hard time holding back

She needs to learn how to hold back. When Tamra said I don’t even know if Alexis’ kids are hers, that was horrid.

Alexis has become the Teresa of Orange County. Let’s all gang up on one person. I find it so tedious. As for Gretchen, who I never was a fan of, she is the worst one of all.

    • LizzieLou says:

The slam about the kids was nasty. I hate when they bring the kids into it, especially the little ones.

Stephen Colbert has a super pac. It is hilarious. Campaign finance reform laws are a joke when super pac’s are involved. Colbert has a lawyer that comes on the show and tells him what he can and can’t do regarding his super pac. I don’t think candidates can have involvement in super pacs. Although candidates have personally appeared in super pac commercials. Colbert did a spoof on that absurdity.

              • COCfarm says:

That was a riot. He is so gifted. I find I’m commenting on all your posts Lizzle. Maybe we are long lost sisters!

Any girl with chickens in the city is definitely a soul sister of mine. I just visited my friend whose dog ate her chickens. The dog that had attacked the chickens has passed. They got more chickens and their current dog isn’t a problem. He likes to herd them, but he doesn’t eat them.

              • e-rizzle says:

OMG!! I LOVE Stephen Colbert! When he had Pelosi on regarding her anti super pac blah blah blah I was in tears laughing.

I missed that one! There was a few months that I missed. I will definitely look it up. I’ve started back on my daily regiment of Colbert. He has a children’s book out now. “I am a Pole, and so can you” LOL

                  • COCfarm says:

Oh too funny! Cable is out and waiting for the cable guy. Sounds like a bad joke doesn’t it?! The pups are asleep so maybe I’ll do some Cobert myself online.

Lizzle, so sad for your friends who had a dog that snacked on chickens. I’d be so sad. I don’t let the two mutts in my Avatar near them. But the chickens decide to jump the fence into the dog part of the yard and then have to submit to a dog sniffing. The pups are good. They understand “leave it” and have so far been willing to do so. Still don’t know what I was thinking getting dogs. But now we’ve added two honey bee hives. Everyone seems happy living on our postage stamp backyard!

                    Sincerely,
                    your city chicken-loving sis!

  17. WindyCityWondering says:

OC truly doesn’t have intelligent, confident or mature women and that is my main problem with trying to watch them. Add to that they can’t dress appropriately and the fact that they don’t know how to apologize or support each other and I tune out season after season! Next week will Brianna be dropping the “I got married” bomb on Vicki? That is something I would enjoy watching.

    • Noreen says:

Well said! Support is something lacking in all the housewive shows, but the OC is the first and the worst when it comes loyalty.

      • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

But they talk about supporting each other… all talk and no action. I’m with you WCW… can’t wait to see when Vicki is told the news! I feel evil for looking so forward to it. But in the end Brianna is the one that matters and it made her happy so I don’t feel so bad… that, and it is Vicki we’re talking about.

  18. Noreen says:

Why does Gretchen find it so offensive that Vicki stated Briana is cancer free? If a doctor told me for years that I have cancer or even might have cancer and then told me I don’t, I might make the same statement. And if losing a loved one to cancer or having a loved one with cancer or having cancer yourself makes you an expert, then we are all experts. I don’t know ANYONE who has not been touched by cancer. Gretchen is the most self centered housewife of them all! And I have to add this about Gretchen too: she has made this statement at least twice during her time on the Housewives: that just because she hasn’t had children doesn’t mean she doesn’t know what it is like to be a parent (or as she offensively puts it – pushes one out between her legs or something to that effect). Well, first, I don’t have kids (I am 48) and I would never presume to tell a mother (or father) that they should follow my parental advice because I am more knowing than they. I have wonderful children in my life (nieces and nephews and very close freinds) and I am maternal in nature, but unless you are a parent 24 hours a day, I just don’t think you can really know what it means. It doesn’t mean I don’t have opinions, but some things are just better left unsaid or if you do say them, make sure the advice is requested and say it with love and compassion, not just because you think you are right about everthing. Honestly, Gretchen is a self proclaimed expert on everything. Sorry – that one has really been bothering me. Let’s just hope Gretchen never procreates!

    • Catseye says:

I completely agree with you Noreen. And how obnoxious of Gretchen to tell a “fan” to “go to hell,” who does she think she is anyway? I find her to be an extremely self-centered, crude, opportunist. I wish Alexis would just keep her distance. (I watch Fox5 every morning and I thought Alexis fit right in–I couldn’t stand to watch Gretchen braying about anything more than 1 hr per week).

    • lizzle says:

I agree Noreen. We have partial custody of my boyfriend’s children and I can’t even say that I know what it is like to be a parent. I met the kids when they were 2 and 6 so I have no idea what it is like to know a child from birth and I don’t pretend to know what that is like. Homegirl is in denial.

    • RabbleRouser says:

If I was Grayson’s mom, I would be steaming mad about Gretchen calling herself a cancer expert.

Please, how many times has she seen the boy? Is she the one who is bring him to doctors appointments and therapies? Is she the one who is up all night with him when he is sick? Is she the one who holds his hand and tries to calm him when he is undergoing invasive procedures?

      • Pghemtchick says:

Her reply would be something like I wasn’t just talking about Gray. Jeff died of cancer. I think that’s what she’s getting at with the comment but agree it’s symantics. If one has a cancer scare and is diagnosised cancer-free/cancer less/healthy? What would she like Vicki to say?

        • RabbleRouser says:

          I forgot about Jeff.
But you nailed it, Vickie’s comment was expressing the relief that anyone would feel knowing that a loved one didn’t have to battle cancer.

    • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

Technically speaking… she should have said “now that we know Brianna is cancer free” but does it really matter? They still went through the scare of it and that’s horrible in itself. I have no children, my boyfriend lost his son and he lived with us, but I would NEVER say I know what it’s like to lose a child. That is a slap to those that have and would be to my boyfriend also. I can’t say I’m a cancer expert, THANK GOD! Why does she seem to wear that badge so proudly? Why does she want to be in competition with Vicki over something like that? Kinda sick if you ask me.

    • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

I just want to add… that was very well put Noreen. I’m not a mother either and I feel the same way you do but I couldn’t have done such a good job at saying so.

I never mention her, it gives her klout. I also try refrain from mentioning the head of the gang of 4 in NJ for the same reason. Maybe we can come up with a secret code backwards nod enilorac

    • lizzle says:

Half a million followers. She is taking away from the positive things a popular individual on twitter can accomplish. Now marketers and publishers might never know if a person is really popular because of the things they say… or they bought popularity. It taints the process. I have seen regular people explode on twitter, because they are truly funny or smart.

  21. Fargo Fan says:

I downloaded a book called Desperate Housedogs onto my Kindle for a light read while I am at doing cardio the gym (and it was only $1.99) and in it the main character lives in the OC and actually mentions Lynne Curtain and her handbags.

A bit of pop culture stuck in there, let’s hope others who have read it, get what that is because I just googled her quick to check if her wares are easy to find on line and nothing popped up right away…

    • vilzvet says:

Oh I thought she made bracelets. Remember seeing her at the kitchen table assembling them? Then I remember her being po’d at Gretchen for doing handbags first.

      • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

She makes cuffs. I’ve seen them on-line and they are ridiculously expensive for what they are. Even worse than Kelkel’s feather earrings. That’s pretty bad.

    • Catseye says:

I think her last name is spelled CURTIN, I saw a website a while back and she had some bed linens (with some cute dogs in the pics) also.

  22. Donna says:

LOL my hubby was doing his usual rant when housewives show came on, I pointed at Gretchen and said she was going to be doing somthing with Pussy Cat Dolls, hehehe he shut up and said “let me know when it is on” and then left the room to go on his computer.

    • Lady Chatterley says:

Heh heh – my husband stares at the Housewives like he’s watching a trainwreck and can’t turn away. He only catches it on occasion. He saw an exchange involving Teresa on NJ the other day and said that he suspects that she’s bipolar (he’s a psychotherapist). I had to laugh.

      • RabbleRouser says:

Lady,I would love it if your husband did an analysis of some of these characters, especially the weird dynamic with Teresa, her brother and their parents.

    • RabbleRouser says:

      LOL

  23. Angela says:

Now Heather will be bashing Alexis for pretending to be wealthy? I’m not sure what her problem is but I know Tamra is jealous of Alexis. She is always fueled by jealousy-she should be careful not to show Eddie tooich of who she REALLY is b4 hearties her-height change his mind! I feel bad for Alexis-she wants to honor her husband & family-but still needs something for her self. Who saw the daggers Heather shot her husband during their talk! I bet she’s pretty scary when she’s angry. Who really thought she would get that part she auditioned for? Um, no one! No wonder she is besties w/Tamra. Was that makeup job horrible! I’ve gotta say Gretchen is really making me shake my head! She is a bitch-no question! Have a great Wednesday everybody!!

    • Donna says:

Simple, Heather is a elitist that feels entitled. Alexis has a better body and is far more prettier than her.

      • Catseye says:

True and for her short stint on RHOC, she’s done pretty well for herself. Heather is just green with envy (and the grinch face to boot) that someone so “dumb” has been so successful, while all she can do is brag about her singing/acting career of the past. I don’t understand why she doesn’t just accept the fact that it is in the past and put her efforts into learning how to cook (like it’s SO hard) and raise her FOUR kids.

        • e-rizzle says:

I still think Heather is playing the part Bravo asked her too.

        • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

Sorry, but I just don’t see Heather being jealous of Alexis. Heather lives a pretty dang good life and I’m sure she fully expects to get back into acting and she might achieve it. She has starred in some network sitcoms before and actually did pretty well for herself.

        • Winston Churchill says:

“and the grinch face to boot…….” I could never put my finger on it until you said that but that is exactly what she looks like. She has a very odd shaped face.

    http://www.intouchweekly.com/2012/04/teresa_apologies.php

Interesting! This seems kind of odd considering her blog this week! I wonder if she will be specific in her apologies, ie. about events that have occurred and her responsibility in them. She probably can’t say too much, or it will break her contract with Bravo. I wonder if this is a PR move. The Clownzos are really going to look like asshats if they refuse to ‘forgive’ her and keep up the hatin’.

    • Noreen says:

In my mind I often feel that I am defending Teresa (not that I don’t think she brought a lot of this on herself), but when I look back at what she has been through with her husband and the bankruptcy and trying to keep her life (good or bad, it is her life and she wants to maintain it) together, it seems that her family has really taken advantage of the situation to make her look even worse and to humiliate her and Joe. And I remember how loyal she was to Caroline and Dina and Jacqueline thorugh the whole Danielle saga. If 25% of her blog is true, Caroline has some splaining to do. And I can’t get past Caroline’s sons humiliating Teresa every chance they get. Perhaps it is not in a book, but I am sure more people watch t.v. than read the comments in a cookbook. I find them both so obnoxioius and as self righteous as their mother. And I noticed Caroline has put on weight this season. I guess she can’t be considered beautiful based on her own standard she set in place last year about her own daughter.

      • MelTheHound says:

The Man(less)zo boys are doing momma’s bidding it seems. I don’t have any proof of that, it’s just a theory of mine. The sooner she cuts the cords and pops her nipples out of their mouths, the better off they’ll be. Them and by proxy perhaps, their buddy, another housewife wannabe, Greggy.

    • plainviewsue says:

NOW, I understand the tweets. Jac had tweeted Teresa if she wanted to come over for a cup of tea and just talk. She also tweeted her saying Hey Lucy…..

I tweeted Jac asking why she would be doing this on twitter. My lord, she could pick up the phone. Maybe after reading this article, Jac and Teresa could make peace. The best of it would be that it would eat Caroline alive!!!!!

      • plainviewsue says:

Right now Teresa and Jacq are having a twitter conversation! I tried to cut and paste the tweets, but it didn’t work.

According to the tweets, Teresa is calling Jacq now. Jacq wants to talk things out. Wow………………..

      • Niche says:

“hey Lucy” a la Lucy and Ethel! Thats sweet. Looks like there may be hope for Jaq and Tre… Caroline will HATE it because she’s STILL currently going around bashing Teresa. Too funny.

        • Niche says:

          Jacqueline Laurita ‏ @JacLaurita
Went 2 voice message, call me! Come over! @Teresa_Giudice Sorry Jac I was in a meeting, I just saw this. Would love to see you. Call me. xx”

          Teresa Giudice ‏ @Teresa_Giudice Close
@JacLaurita sorry my VM is full. Calling you right now… xx

it’s going to really chap Caroline’s ass if they really do make up – not to mention Mego’s. Jaq is fickle and i believe with enough wine and Caro in her ear she will turn on Teresa again in a second, but it would be nice to see them become friends again. Teresa needs someone in her corner and I do believe she’s taken ENOUGH of a beating last season – and this current season.

      • Pghemtchick says:

What makes me curious is that Jac apologized “supposedly” months ago, but Tre sold/gave her story and apologies to a magazine. Sorry that screams fake PR move to me. Pick up a phone, text, show up, etc then put a reconciled story in a mag. Why the take to a mag to apologize? They all are fishy to me.

        • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

It does seem fishy but I have to say I’m like that. I forgive quite easily and I think Jac is the same especially if it’s over something silly which this might be considered to be. I would never put it on twitter though even if I did tweet.

        • Trudie says:

I agree. If T sincerely wanted to apologize, she should have done it in person or on the phone. Not in a magazine article.

hello my lovies!! – first – *hugs Kristen really hard* – my prayers are with you and Pinkie – I hope all goes well for that sweet puppy –

now – Gretchen – yuck! – she gets my asshat of the week award – as for the comment about cancer – self righteous looks hideous on you, dear – treating your friend – you know, the one who supported you throughout the attacks of Tamara the trash queen herself, with such open disrespect very nearly cost me a flat screen last night – Alexis did nothing but stand by you – even when you made it difficult to do so – and this is how you repay her for that loyalty? with friends like you, who needs enemies? Go and sit with Tamara – she is more your speed these days – and don’t laugh at prayer – it is always a good thing, and might just help you see the hellish life you are creating for yourself – cannot – cannot – stand Slimy – he is a pimp – but then – he has a willing victim –

as for Heather – I don’t know what she gets out of bashing Alexis other than it making her look like a jealous shrew –

I thought that Jim and Alexis handled the makeup artist from hell very well –

Brooks is just creepy – watch out Vicki – cannot wait to see her reaction to Brianna’s wedding announcement –

    *hugs entire board*

    • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

I have to say that Alexis makeup looked awful! It was actually pretty funny. Glad to see Alexis was laughing about it too. I can just imagine if that happened to some of the other women… there would have been humiliation involved for sure (although I’m sure that women was pretty horrified at what she did when she saw it last night). How could that make up artist not have seen it? When I first saw that segment before anyone said anything about the makeup I was thinking to myself what the hell is wrong with Alexis’ face? What is she doing to poor Alexis? and it took a little while before Alexis said something. How could that woman not have realized what she did? Anyway, it was pretty funny when Heather said she was trying to match her bruises.

I guess watching this women that have so much be so petty is harder to watch when my life right now is so serious. They use to be entertaining, now they are more drama than this mama can handle :)

The ladies of the church have cast off clothing of every kind and they may be seen in the church basement on Friday afternoon.

Teresa Tweeted after the back and forth:

“It took alot for me to call @JacLaurita esp after I watched Ep2 this morning. You’ll see. I’m trying & I’m going to keep our conv private. xx”

I am glad she is keeping this private. I was surprised she called her, after watching RHONJ and reading “parts” of her blog. …. JAC IS WHACK!

Jac on the other hand after talking to Teresa on the phone went on a short twitter rant…

“After insulting my husband, then rehashing the past, her animosity is still there&I think it’s going2take a while to get past this. Mayb 1day”

“My heart tells me that she’s not sincerely ready to move forward. I’m beginning to believe it was a PR clean up attempt. Sad.”

“They say time heals all wounds.”.

I think her last tweet was to cover her ass!

I missed this tweet from Tre prior to the one I posted above:

I don’t know how close they were. I don’t trust Jac’s intentions at all. Why no? Is she becoming aware of the big backlash the Caro and her daughters ( including Gregg) are going to get this season?

      • VV says:

        * Why now?

        • MelTheHound says:

          http://lynnnchicago.com/?p=7122

Do you think she read the responses?

          • VV says:

I think part that…and part the interview with Life&Style Magazine where Teresa apologized and mentioned she would like to have a friendship with Jac.
According to her blog Teresa has apologized several times. I’m sure Jac reads blogs and she knows what’s going on there too and it doesn’t look pretty for her. PR move on her part?

            • MelTheHound says:

Maybe, Maybe not. As much as I like to bash some of these people, fact is I don’t know any of them. It would be a little disappointing if this is JUST a PR move on Jaq’s part. I don’t think Teresa needs a double stab at this point. Regardless of how she did it, if she extended the olive branch, it may just be a good idea to let the bullshit go. I’m looking at all of it with a side eye though.

      • VV says:

Why an I not surprised. Jac continues with her rant:

        “4give me4being upset,I wanted2believe the apology was sincere.When I called her,it got intense w/rehashing past.Thought she wanted2move4ward”

        • VV says:

          Then more:

“Baby steps would be great w/ @Teresa_Giudice but only if its sincere&it definitely didn’t sound like it.The show airing doesn’t help I guess”

          • JustDee says:

            Sheesh! Shut UP Jac!

            • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

I know right? Why on twitter? That’s just awful. Guess she still wants to make Teresa look bad… “look at me, I tried to forgive but Teresa isn’t sincere. I’m so nice to try though.” Does she not realize how putting it on Twitter makes her look? How could Teresa want to try with their friendship after seeing that?

              • RabbleRouser says:

                Exactly friends…
Jax doesn’t get she is causing problems in the present by slamming Teresa on twitter, never mind T rehashing the past.

    • nathania says:

so weird, like they planned it together to pump up the show ratings.

because jacq is not stupid and I don’t believe they were ever friends. One of Lynn’s sources said on here once “Teresa is the dumbest person I have ever met. That is not an act.” I can’t believe for a minute Jacq has the patience to be friends with someone like that. Jacq probably is just too scared to have Teresa as an enemy so she tries to keep her as a friend instead.

  33. Mel says:

Would you expect anything less from Jacqueline? I mean this women has never held anyones confidence.

Teresa tweeted that she just saw the latest episode and it sounded like it was hurtful. Granted this all happened a year ago, but each episode reopens those wounds. I am sure TEresa is seeing for the first time what the others said behind her back.

What i think Jacqueline and the other women don’t get is the fact that Teresa owes them an apology, but they owe her one too. Don’t act like your hurt is superior then hers. I think Teresa just wants acknowledgement and validation of her pain…..because they are asking her do to do the same for theirs. No one is innocent in this situation.

No question that Ashley needs to grow up and straightened out. But I don’t think airing all her problems on tv is the most productive way to encourage growth.
I lost any respect I had for Chris Laurita when he called his sisters radio show to whine about his stepdaughter. Is nothing sacred to these people?

          • MelTheHound says:

Apparently not. I guess she needed the call for her show though.

          • RabbleRouser says:

I suppose him calling the show seemed pale to him in comparison to it all getting aired on the show anyway.

            • MelTheHound says:

They Chose to do these Ashly interventions in front of the cameras. What else would they have done last season? It continues this season it looks like, until the shit hits the fan before the reunion. Go to Vegas or get out. I wonder how long that really lasted.

          • nathania says:

yes, money is sacred to these people. Strippers are sacred. Marrying rich is sacred. The mafia is sacred. Etc.

      • WSL says:

        OUCH BB!
I have never seen Jac be anything but nice. I have always admired that she makes her own decisions about what” team” she is on even though there was probably a lot of family pressure she didn’t fold.

Anyway I do have a special perspective because we have an email relationship. We mainly talk about spiritual wisdom from the Bible that should bring us to higher levels of love and success in relationships. Jac is a woman who loves and trusts her Christian faith. I have seen her be mad only to read scriptures that caused a turn around based on God’s teachings of love and forgiveness.
Now this doesn’t mean she did a 100% about face but it does mean it’s where her heart is.
Eventually we will have lunch. Meantime I didn’t think she would mind my sharing, what I think is lovely about Jac, her love of her faith and desire to live it.

        • MAMAZ says:

My biggest problem with Jaq is not her relationship with Teresa or the other HWs but with her daughter.
I don’t care how terrible my child behaved I would not allow that to be my story line on a tv program. I find it distasteful and it colors my entire opinion of Jaq and Chris.

        • BB says:

Sorry, WSL. Not sure why my comment was such an OUCH. I think it was pretty mild compared to some of the other comments about Jac on this site. But I stand by my opinion just the same, based on my observation of her “public” behaviour. I have nothing else to base it on since I’ve not had the privilege of knowing her on a personal basis.

          • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

ITA. While it’s nice to hear that Jac has a good heart, and I have always thought that was true, it doesn’t forgive those tweets. That’s just plain hurtful no matter what shape the relationship is in.

            • VV says:

I used to like her until those Twitter rants last year after the reunion. Sorry…

            • nathania says:

yeah…but I don’t believe any of these women are or were ever friends with Teresa except Kathy Wakile. It’s just circumstance and opportunism. So Jac’s tweets were probably a combination of cold medicine mixed with the truth coming out. And then she went back to being fake.

P.S for anyone look for a new Teresa I LOVE Teresa Caputo on “Long Island Medium”. She has the same schtick but it is the other end of the spectrum, very uplifting, I cry every time I watch that show at her ‘readings’ of people and their messages from spirit. It’s so cute coming out of someone wearing leopard print and acid-washed jeans.

        • Trudie says:

WSL, I will trust when you say that Jaq is a faith-filled person, but, in my opinion, if someone is truly faith-filled their actions are testaments to their faith. Otherwise, It is merely lip service.

        • Lady Chatterley says:

I’m fond of Jac, as well, WSL. I’ve always admired that she tries to be true to herself, honest in dealing w/others, and supports others to a fault. I think she’s got a good heart.

        • RealHousewifeVA says:

Personally I don’t care about how any of these people are in emails or whatever, I base my opinions on their public behavior because I don’t care to try to form friendships with any of them. Jac has shown PUBLICLY that she is bitter, immature and not trustworthy. i have yet to see Teresa on twitter or anywhere else bash the Manzos and Lauritas the way they have done to her. And if she’s just a smarter, savvier business person who is getting deals done quicker than the others- THEN GOOD FOR HER. I personally believe that is what most of this is about, Jac practically says it in her blog and interviews. She mentions how her family wanted to do a cookbook and how Teresa would make business deals and whatnot. Caro thought her and her family would be the stars of this show, and Teresa was. I don’t need to “read between the lines” to see that Caro is “planting seeds” hoping to get Teresa to fail. They don ‘t realize Teresa IS this show. Since the beginning, she was the star. Love her or Hate her, it’s the truth. And they can’t stand the fact that ‘dumb, broke” Teresa is so in demand.

If one of Caroline’s family members that she was fighting with went to Danielle Staub of all people and gave her info to get on the show, you damn well better believe that Caroline would be PISSED and Teresa would have stood by Caroline’s side. Caroline’s kids and annoying Greg bashed Teresa all season last year, but they are entitled to be so pissed about her stupid comments in her cookbook (nevermind that she also said some great things about Caroline in her book, as well). Their behavior turned me Team Teresa.

          • Lady Chatterley says:

You haven’t seen Teresa bash the Manzos or Jackie publicly? How about bashing Melissa? Her blogs? her book? Her talking head interviews? They are all about negative snarky comments about one another. No one is innocent on that count.

          • VV says:

Well said and don’t forget Andy bashes Terrsa any time he can on his show. He did it too at the reunion last season. Andy made Carolina proud with his obvious dislike for Teresa.

      • kit9 says:

If Jac is immature, they’ll have to invent a new word for what Teresa is. How about sub-infantile?

    • Niche says:

They all feel so entitled to be “mad” at Teresa. I’m not exactly sure why – their reasons for hating her or being offended are extremely hypocritical. You’re right, she deserves an apology from them too. Its CLEAR to anyone with half a brain that the whole group of them get off on – enjoy – absolutely love – spend all of their time – bashing her. It’s all they seem to do. They looooove that she’s had financial problems. They looooove that her husband’s been accused of cheating. They can’t stand that she’s stood tall through it all and rolled up her sleeves and worked to fix it. They were hoping she would crumble and lose it (like Jaq has multiple times). They hate that she hasn’t engaged in their wars.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

They continue to lose it because Teresa is not acting like a victim – she is taking care of business and keeping a smile on her face which makes it more difficult to kick her when she won’t fall down.

      • Lady Chatterley says:

I don’t think that we’ve seen the source of the big blow up yet. And they’re not allowed to talk about it.

    • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

I don’t know all the particulars, but what does Teresa owe them an apology for? She already apologized for the book and they threw it back in her face. I didn’t think it was a big deal to begin with. The three at the reunion last year owe Teresa an apology as far as I’m concerned. And all these unspoken reasons that Caroline has, according to her “there is more to it than the book” I don’t know ’cause I haven’t seen anything Teresa has done to hurt Caroline… at least from the time when Caroline was sticking up for Teresa saying she was a loyal friend, until the reunion when she couldn’t stand to look at her. Maybe this season may clear things up… or not.

      • VV says:

Don’t forget that at last year reunion it was four against one as Andy was in there with the other ones throwing Teresa under the bus. He was very mean to Teresa at the reunion. I hope people remember that.

        • MelTheHound says:

I remember the 4 hyenas vividly.

        • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

True… it’s a good thing Jac wasn’t there… would have made it even worse if that’s possible.

        • nathania says:

I didn’t watch that reunion but I can’t remember why. How weird. Unlike BH I don’t think I intentionally didn’t watch it…I watched most of the season. It’s like I have somehow missed all the airings of the reunion of RHOATL which I really wanted to see, especially the part where Marlo goes off on Kim and then Kandi goes off on Marlo…I hope I will get to see it at some point.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Teresa owes apologies for 1) being the breakout star with vocal fans, 2) having the drive to seize the opportunities and turn them into cold, hard cash and 3) for not letting them turn her into a sniveling little mess!

  34. gerardo iantosca says:

I always read the blogs here and I have to point out on RHOC. When they were taking the limo to Vegas and all of them ripping on Alexis and Jim. Jim came up about his mysterious job. He’s an entreprenuer and they laughed but isn’t Brooke one also? One more thing when Vicki laughed at Grechen all the things she tries. At least she knows what she did. Vicki still can’t tell us what Brooke does except give “Affirmations.” Keep up the good work Lynn!

  35. As usual, Lynn & all your beautiful thoughts for Pinky humble me.
    Thank you so much.
    She’s in surgery now.
I’ll try to keep you posted.

Much, much love to you all…

    KJo

  36. BB says:

Apparently, according to Dancing with the Stars producers, the housewives aren’t considered real stars and are too unsavory for a family show. DO WHAT??? They’ve had people on there I’ve never heard of and with pretty unsavory pasts. I guess Kate Gosselin and Bristol Palin are considered real STARS. Bwhahahahahahahaha!

    http://celebs.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981289013

    • MAMAZ says:

Lets see, Rob Kardashian is famous because his sister made a sex tape, Bristol Palin is famous because she got pregnant as a teen while her mother campaigned for VP. But the HWs are too unsavory? Allrighty then!

    • MelTheHound says:

Sorry but I hate that show and more so, that panel buffoons they call judges.

      • MAMAZ says:

I am proud to say I have never seen a single episode!

        • MelTheHound says:

          You’re 2 up on me. ;)

          • BB says:

I watch it sometimes because my mom loves it and she likes to have someone to talk to about it. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t bother unless nothing else is on.

            • MAMAZ says:

My mom likes it too but fortunately my Aunt watches it with her so I don’t have to watch!

            • JustDee says:

LOL, that’s the only reason I watch too – My Mom likes it. I hate missing The Voice.

            • COCfarm says:

I have to make a spreadsheet for my mom and aunt because they LOVE it. I don’t watch it but keep up with it online so I’m not out of the loop.

My mom and aunt HATED when Holly Madison (Hugh Hef old girlfriend) was on it. They wanted her gone.

              • vilzvet says:

Wasn’t that Kendra? The one who has her second reality show now on E? I didn’t think it was Holly but maybe I’m wrong…

                • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

Yeah… there was one that was a Playboy model. The housewives aren’t THAT bad… geez. I do watch… I love to watch anything with dancing.

                • COCfarm says:

Actually, now that you mention it, Kendra was a contestant also. Holly was one before Kendra. My little old lady group that I do the spreadsheets for hated them both…Holly more so because she was the first. I don’t know if any of the HW’s are an improvement over Hugh’s girls, but I can’t see that they are worse.

    • Winston Churchill says:

I used to watch Dancing with the Stars but then it started getting in the way of my RH’s viewing time. But if they put on one of the RH’s I might actually make time to watch it again.

  37. RabbleRouser says:

Gretchen’s Pussy Cat Dolls performance, it almost like Slade’s child support payments. I feel like I am waiting for the check that never comes.

    OT -
I just wanted to say “I’M ON VACATION!! WOOT! WOOT!” (sort of). The last time I had NO responsibilities was my wedding trip to Vegas in August 2002, so anything I say for the next week can’t be held against me. :P

Went to the beach with Tux & the camera today -

  39. Countess Lillybee says:

Heather, the actress, must be green with envy since I just read that Alexis’s gig on General Hospital will be for more than one day.

  40. vilzvet says:

Does anyone know even ONE thing about “Cake Boss” here? I am going to the live show Sunday and it would be nice if I had an intelligent question to ask; it’s an interactive show supposedly. I don’t think it’s rerunning now on TLC; maybe I can try to look for it on Netflix livestream.

    • MAMAZ says:

I used to watch it but haven’t seen it in a long time. I’m not sure what sort of questions they would be looking for, baking or general?
They seem like such a nice, loving family. Sure they argue but you always see them come together at the end of the show. They don’t seem to have let their egos ruin their family unlike some other NJ folks! I would like to know how it is that they have all worked together for so long and still remain close.

    • RabbleRouser says:

You can ask them how they likes their Disney cruise.

I think that family is just so obnoxious, I don’t think I could manage anything else

      • Nancy says:

        RR,
You are cracking me up today so much.
Re: Cake Boss…I would ask how his BIL is doing in jail after he was charged with sexual abuse with a minor. (not joking)

        • Mrs. Peabody says:

I always wondered what happened to that guy, did he end up in jail? Didn’t him and his wife have a baby about a year before that happened? One of his sisters did and I thought she was married to that guy. I really like the show and am glad Buddy is doing well with his business

          • Nancy says:

Yes he is still in jail as the family wouldn’t post bail. They pretty much washed their hands of him. They did have a baby not so long ago.
            Very sad.

            • Mrs. Peabody says:

Has he had his trial yet? If not he’s been there a long time. Didn’t this happen a few years ago? I feel sorry for his wife (ex?).

        • RabbleRouser says:

I was thinking about that one too Nancy…but we know if our friend said that, she would get booted out of the place :D

          • Nancy says:

I was only kidding. I’m not sure how I feel about the family not helping him out re: posting bail.
Obviously the man is messed up and needs help.
Personally I don’t give up on anybody. I’m not saying what he did was ok by any means.

      • Lovemamaearth says:

I didn’t like the cake boss either. I thought he was a mean spirited arrogant creep.

    • Pghemtchick says:

I’ve always wondered if he ever went back to get his GED since he dropped outta high school after his dad died. Knowing he really didn’t “need” it since he was running a business, just kinda wonder how he feels in regards to his kids and a role model. I love their bakery! Hoping to get back their this summer with FB. I will say I’m not a cannoli fan, but best red velvet cupcakes I’ve ever tasted! Lol have fun :)

    • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

I love the Cake Boss. He’s one New Jerseyite we can be proud of. I don’t know what kind of show it is ’cause what I watch isn’t interactive. A baking question is always good. Or how about something like did he ever expect to become so popular? He does three shows, Cake Boss, Next Great Baker and Kitchen Boss. He’s always had a few books published. He’s Rachael Ray’s go-to baker and has guest spots on her show quite often. He’s from Hoboken… where Caroline’s favorite children live. I’m sure you knew that.

    • LynnNChicago says:

How fun! Have a great time! :)

    • Lady Chatterley says:

Love Cake Boss! Ask if he’s ever received a request for a cake that they couldn’t do?

      • vilzvet says:

Thanks for the dirt, advice and info! Seems like I have been missing a great show, my gawd. Now I need to watch some reruns pronto.

    • NJBev says:

Hey vilzvet! that sounds so awesome. I would be curious how the new
operation is going in….? I wanna say, maybe Carlstadt? they built a new
factory/warehouse about a year or so ago, around the same time I stopped
watching. they ran out of room in Hoboken, so I’m curious how the new
      space is going..
Also, I would ask if their neighbors in Hoboken ever get annoyed with the
traffic and congestion the bakery causes and how they deal with it….
my nephew lives nearby and says they’re “a PIA’ …. lol
have fun, Vil~~make sure you tell us all how it went!!

      • vilzvet says:

Thanks Bev! Those are good questions. Had no idea he was in Hoboken, which by all accounts is a real hot spot today. When I went to the One Life to Live show at this same place, one of the actresses we met at the aftershow said she also lives there and loves it.

Tune in on Monday, June 11th!

    • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

Cool! Thanks for the lowdown. Now if I can just remember…

    • MelTheHound says:

      I guess I won’t be a witness to B’s talk show premier.

      • BB says:

Me, neither, Mel. But that might be a blessing. Lol.

        • MelTheHound says:

That’s Kind of what I was thinking but I know there are other people in my area participating on the blog here. They may have wanted to see it. If I Really wanted to see it, I could probably catch it on the web somewhere.

    • LynnNChicago says:

They may add more before the premiere, Hopefully Chicago will be one, I’d like to see it :(

      • vilzvet says:

It’s replacing Jerry Springer here in NY I think. Good riddance! It’s going up against The (Wretched) View and my must-see Price is Right so I’ll have to record one or the other. Tough competition for her here.

    • Lovemamaearth says:

That’s all? How can she succeed if it’s not nation wide? Boohoo I’ll miss out.

    • plainviewsue says:

Wow, so in New York it will be up against The View…………….

I will DVR it and give it a shot.

  42. Melissa Chermak says:

The book store in my town (Book Revue in Huntington) has Kelly Bensimon (sp?) signing her book and exactly one week later Bethenny signing her new book. I wonder who will get a better turnout… As if… Kelly…Kelly… Kelly… so delusional…
    Mel

    • BB says:

Another Mel? Lol. What does that make now – 4 of you guys?

    • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

Are you going to check out either of them? I’d go to Bethenny’s and drive by Kelly’s just to see what the turnout was like.

      • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

Can’t imagine what Kelly’s fans might look like if they’re turning to her to make them hot. I loved Lynn’s spoofed book chapters… she hit it spot on.

        • Pickles says:

LOL! That would be a great show. Kelly has to make her own fan hot.

          • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

“her own fan” LOL… that she does!

            • vilzvet says:

Aha, my area too. They usually have the most popular author signings on Long Island. I would never attempt to see Bethenny; her turnouts are always wayyyy too crazy and it’s not worth it to me. Kel Kel on the other hand shouldn’t be more than 10 people if she’s lucky.

              • vilzvet says:

Oh Kelly’s going to be there tomorrow, thought it was at a later date. I’ll have to pass, it’s Game 7 of the Rangers vs. Ottawa in hockey. Gonna be crazy in NY.

    • DoneWithBravo says:

Huntington, LI, or Huntington, CA?? (I lived on LI for almost 50 years).

    • plainviewsue says:

Hey. I’m from Long Island as well. I went to the Book Revue when Bethenny was hear last year, and it was a zoo. Way too many people; she hardly spoke. But I would love to know how many people actually show for Kelly!!!!!

      • vilzvet says:

Yes I thought it was you Sue, who went to see Bethenny. Looks like Teresa is going to be there as well on May 31st. That would certainly also be a zoo as well. I just can’t see many people shelling out for Kelly’s book.

  43. Winston Churchill says:

Wasn’t sure where to jump in above about the tweets between Teresa and Jac and then the phone call. The whole thing leaves me puzzled. I don’t know why on earth Teresa would contact Jac after all the horrible bashing Jac has done of T. Remember when she posted T was scum. It does not surprise me at ALL that Jac would post a terrible rant on twitter about their conversation. She is sooooo low class. She probably was running out of fresh material on Tre to put out in the media so she needed to have a chat to get new dirt. Run Teresa Run!

    • MelTheHound says:

Bringing something down I read up-thread.

“Jac is a woman who loves and trusts her Christian faith. I have seen her be mad only to read scriptures that caused a turn around based on God’s teachings of love and forgiveness.”

Let’s all remember this if this ‘meetup’ blows up in Teresa’s face. That’s All I’m saying about that. Remember, there is still a Season 4 reunion before we get to Now in the timeline of RHONJ.

      • Winston Churchill says:

Yeah, that made me laugh. I wasn’t sure if that person was kidding or serious. Either way it made me chuckle.

        • Winston Churchill says:

If things don’t work out on RHNJ for her maybe she can move in with Ashley in LA and star in the Christian Real Housewives, Bravo is scouting for.

      • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

It’s sad… and I thought she was so sweet… I used to really like her and I wish she was the person I thought she was but I don’t like who she is now… or maybe she never was the person I thought she was… whew who’s on first? Really though, even if Teresa is 100% wrong, someone decent wouldn’t send tweets like that for everyone to see. How could you ever trust her as a friend if she can do that to someone who was her friend?

        • Winston Churchill says:

I used to like her too but she seems to have gone off the deep end. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was her who gave those pics of Teresa’s husband to the press.
She just seems to be trying so hard to bring Teresa down and is only destroying herself in the process. Sad to watch.

    • Nancy says:

Run Teresa run! Jac is a nasty person.

    • Winston Churchill says:

      Also just saw this -
      tp://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2012/04/caroline-manzo-jacqueline-laurita-threaten-quit-housewives-because-teresa-giudice

I thought Jac already threatened to quit before. Maybe Bravo needs to do some firings. Rosie and Milania could become full-time housewives as replacements.

        • RabbleRouser says:

Who is Jax kidding? Oh no Jax please stick around, you contribute so much.
I this is my hunch Jax and Caro will be gone.

Kathy and Mel will stay, they didn’t care about what Teresa thought about them joining, so they aren’t going to give a toss about what Jax and Caro think about them staying on without them.

They will bring in some family on Juicy’s side..and Kim G will come back as a nut case.

        • Nancy says:

Great news. Let them walk out.

        • IDon'tBelieveInUnicorns says:

“Melissa wants more money because she feels like she doesn’t get paid enough to deal with all the damage that’s been done to her personal life.”

Unbelievable… isn’t that really saying that as long as she gets paid enough the damage it causes is worth it?

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

With regard to Caroline and Jac threatening to quit…..

Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!!

Whatever with those drama queens!! I had hope when I heard that Jac and Teresa might make up, but, as has been Jac’s pattern, she goes on another “bash Teresa twitter rant” immediately after she speaks to her. I used to really like Jac, but if I were Teresa, I would no longer trust Jac as far as I could throw her. She has proven herself to be extremely emotionally UNSTABLE and disloyal. I mean, the woman turns on her friends like a snake and then goes on a vicious campaign of revealing confidences shared during the friendship and using some of the most hateful language about the person. It’s like she goes on this whole character assassination campaign that is extremely ugly (She did it to Danielle. She did/does it to Dina. And she’s now doing it to Teresa).

I think she and Don Caro’s panties are in a bunch because their plan to bully and break Teresa down is NOT working. There are plenty of people on Teresa’s side in this fight — even the viewers that were not really fans of Teresa before. This bullying campaign is some of the best free p.r. and publicity that Teresa could ever get!

I say let those heifers WALK! Toodles and good riddance! Bring on 1 or 2 more neutral parties or 1 or 2 parties that are friends of Teresa’s so the RHONJ playing field can be a little more fair and even.

          • MelTheHound says:

I say let those heifers WALK! Toodles and good riddance!
            *****

          • Winston Churchill says:

It seems like the first cast Housewife always thinks she is the Queen Bee and when another cast member (that they recommended to Bravo) starts to become the break out star they go in for the take down…Jill Zarin to Bethenny…..Kyle to Lisa…..Caroline to Teresa.
You would think they would learn it never works out….we like who we like and you can’t change public opinion.

          • myname2use4now says:

You’re right on the money. Heck, I’ve thought of buying one of Theresa’s book just as a show of support! I think this show would be greatly improved if Jac and Caro (and their broods) were gone. Jac is the type to get close to someone just to gather ammo, then uses it against them. She’s not to be trusted.

Regardless of Tre’s behavior in the past, for some reason, I still like her. She just seems to have “it”. I can’t figure it out! lol!

        • WindyCityWondering says:

Oddly enough, Wacky Jacky didn’t have problems with her until Teresa’s “family” jointed the show…..

  44. Nancy says:

    boston,
Good luck tonight. :) Game 7!

  45. LavaLady says:

The bookstore near me that has alot of author signings has coming up: Bethenny, Andy Cohen and Teresa, but no Kelly.

    • BB says:

Are you planning on attending any of them, LavaLady?

      • LavaLady says:

Maybe Andy’s. I have already been to a signing for Bethenny, and Teresa’s book does not interest me. I will probably read Bethenny’s book, but I’ll get it from the library. Thisbookstore is a small place and purchasing the book is almost necessary to meet and greet the author. I have Taylor’s book, which I have never read. But Andy’s book sounds interesting, so his might be the only one I make the effort for.

This store, Bookends, in Ridgewood, NJ has about 3 signings a week. Almost all celebrity type signings; I have it a little funny that they are not having Kelly.

        • Elizabeth says:

Went to Bravo and read a portion of Andy’s book. I am an avid reader, and usually will read anything that is put in front of me. After reading the first page, I began skimming through the chapter. Lost interest towards the middle and decided it was not a book that would interest me.

He is very detail orientated, but I got lost in the details and felt the story was not cohesive. By the way, the chapter I read was a interview with Susan Lucci. Just my 2 cents…

          • LavaLady says:

Thanks for the input, Elizabeth. I am an avid reader as well. Have you read anything lately that you would recommend. I am reading Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan. I am really enjoying it. It is set around the time of the Titantic tragedy, but the ocean liner that sinks is much smaller.

            • Elizabeth says:

Lavalady, is “Lifeboat” a true story? I am fascinated with the maiden voyage of the Titanic and the catastrophe that occurred in 1912.

The only HW book that I own is “Danielle’s”, and ONLY because it was on the 75% mark down table at “Books a Million”, lol. I think I read it in 2 hours.

What types of books do you like to read?

              • BB says:

I am currently reading No Angel by Penny Vincenzi. It’s the first novel of a trilogy and takes place from 1904 to 1920 in England. I just finished another book by her and I really liked it so I decided to try another one of hers.

              • LavaLady says:

Lifeboat is fiction, and it’s very good. I read both fiction and non fiction. I like almost anything as long as it is well written.

  46. Zoey says:

  48. WSL says:

    Hi BB
I have actually never seen jac on Twitter. I just know where her heart wants to be. Weather she gets there and stays there is ahead of Jac.
I have had many obnoxious employees that I was stunned at how they blew chance after chance to be a star and make LOTs of $$ I found most that failed were extremely Immature or had a big chip on their shoulder. Both reasons were followed by low self esteem that I didn’t create. Managing the a$$holes has been the only part of my career I have hated. We always hired people to train vs ones w/experience(there weren’t any 20 year ago in a new industry). Anyway I see Ashley as similar to the many ungrateful brats I had to tolerate until they got it or moved on. It wasn’t fun and I had to PAY them. Anyway I think there continues to be another generation of spoiled kids where every day every kid got an award for just showing up! So I blame more than Jac for the brat we see.

    • Nancy says:

      WSL,
It was Jac that put her daughters “issues” on TV for money.
There is no excuse for that.

  49. WSL says:

Michael is in Stubs and Wooten of PB and NYC. WSM has some. They are needlepoint. Or velvet. I have them too.
    BUT
WSM leaves his in Fla. And only wears them in Fla.
    They are comfie!

  50. WSL says:

    BB

  51. WSL says:

Yes she did but so did everybody else.
R u saying everybody should pull their kid if they become obnoxious?
I think Milani is obnoxious. That grocery store scene a while back. Pulling Gia’s hair. Bad language and talking back. She is a Nightmare but I love to laugh at her. It’s really sad though.

    • Nancy says:

There is a big difference between toddlers and teenagers. It was quite apparent after the first season that Ashley had major problems. It was Jac’s duty as a mother to pull her child off of TV and get her some much needed help.

      • NJBev says:

didn’t Ashley already have a contract by then? I remember
Jack saying something to the effect that once her contract expired
        (this year) she was out~
Ashley was making her own money from the show and Jack
said that didn’t help with the chip on the kids shoulder—
I have to say that even after how poorly she came across
on TV, Ash did nothing to adjust her attitude.
-I’m sorry, but this kid was old enough to know better and
I dont feel that Jack took advantage of her, if anything she
was sorry she brought her into it. imo :o /

        • RabbleRouser says:

I think the kids didnt have contracts till season 2 or 3 and then it was just the older ones. I think I read something about Teresa being pissed the Manzo boys and Ashley were making money and her girls weren’t.

      • Pghemtchick says:

Hi Ms. Nancy! Hope things are going great for ya! I agree that as a mom Jac had a duty to not exploit her kid for money or a place on the show. As for later seasons, Ashley was an adult but Jac could have limited her exposure/intervened off camera or in between seasons. But you know “storylines”. As for Tre’s kids, yep they’re toddlers/youngins and really shouldn’t be expected to know their actions like a teenager should. I do think Tre needs to step in more kinda like Bethenny is with Bryn (with the whole not growing up on camera- or so we’ll see). Tre needs to either give the kid more attention or figure out what’s causing her girls grief (includes Gia and school teasing) and find a way to fix it or minimize it. Unless she wants therapy bills!

        • Nancy says:

          Hi emt,
I’ve missed you. How is your foot doing?

          • Pghemtchick says:

Still attached ;) I started physical therapy 3x a week. Let me tell ya, crazy! I’m convinced they sliced my nerves which goes with that nerve pain. The tens unit they use I can’t feel at all even when cranked up to max (60), but almost made me cry at 4 on my arm (experiment to prove the machine worked). So we shall see slowly working on motion then maybe walking. *crosses fingers*.
How’s everything with you, the doc, and babies?

            • Nancy says:

You poor thing. Have you seen a pain specialist?
Everything at this end is fine thanks.
We might be moving back to the Bay Area.

              • Pghemtchick says:

I went once. Not yet with this surgery. A move sounds fun! I’d miss your fruit trees. Are you excited for it? If you do, I hope your kitties get along after. I started watching my cat from hell and two fought after a move and living/cuddling with each other for years. It was sad, but of course Jackson fixed it. Lol. Love him!

                • Nancy says:

I just started watching that show as well. He’s good.
My two can’t stand each other so I’m not worried about that. They are sisters. It’s sad.
You have been through hell with that foot. I hope it’s not due to nerve damage. Have you tried the drug Neurontin?

  52. WSL says:

I am not arguing but what kind of help do u get. U can’t make her do much. It looked to me that her Dad failed too.
I was impressed the way she agreed to leave and go to Vegas. I would have thought she wood have chosen hen NJ friends.
Where I do disagree is w/toddlers. I studied early childhood behavior methods at Harvard and it takes patients and discipline but Milana could be managed and the unpredictable camera coverage fosters her nightmare behavior which is very unsafe for outings where not obeying could be a life and death threat.

  53. Nancy says:

    Mel,
Are you watching AI? Queen is the inspiration this week.

  54. Mrs. Peabody says:

There’s an article in Life and Style about the NJ housewives called “How Fame Ruined our Friendship”, basically a small paragraph about each housewive, basically all 4 bad mouth Teresa. Jacqueline says Teresa is calculating and scheming and will look you in the face and lie. Caroline says she asked her to turn against Kathy and Melissa and she won’t be a pawn. Kathy says she was surprised to see Joe bad mouth her on national tv so now she used kid gloves aroung Teresa so as not to set her off. Guess it’s ok for her husband to want to burn the bitch at the stake but Teresa’s hubby better not say anything about her! Best one is Melissa, it hurt her soooooo bad that because Teresa is having troubles at home with her hubby she tried to cause trouble between Joey and Melissa, there just was noooooo reason to ever say something like that. Oh boo hoo, she can say mean things about Teresa but it’s horrible if it happens to her. Any way it’s a short 2 page write up with pics of all of them then the little parragraph on each.

  55. Mel says:

Ashlee Holmes tweeted “atta girl” to Victoria Wakile and i curiously looked at Vic’s tweets. She tweeted a section from a blogger that was praising her mother Kathy by slamming Teresa. It was a direct dig….but when Victoria started to get called out on it…she claims she was not trying to make a dig blah blah. Victoria read the passage and saw how it was awful to Teresa and made her out to be a bad mom….and Kathy being a great role model to mothers on the show.

This pile on TEresa from the other ladies, the friends, their kids, their mothers…is getting to be ridiculous. I am sick of it.

    • Nancy says:

      Talk about bullying.

    • Niche says:

I’m sick of it too. Its kind of disturbing.

    • VV says:

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I liked the Wakile kids last season. However, I don’t follow them on Twitter. This was another eye opener. Thank you for posting. Sick sick sick.

    • Mrs. Peabody says:

I hope Kathy is proud of her daughter. Like father like daughter. Great family Kathy.

    • Winston Churchill says:

Yes, because every good parent puts their family on a reality show and trashes their cousin for money. We could all learn a thing or two from the Wakile’s.
Can I take back my comment from yesterday that I would buy a dessert cookbook if she put one out.

    • VV says:

…and why on earth is “Ashlee” Holmes sending DMs to Aubrey ODay from Celebrity Aprentice? 2nd generation RHONJ is turning our more vile than their parents and that includes all of Caroline’s girls and roommate Gregg.

      • Winston Churchill says:

I read something in the comments of another site that said that Ashlee refused to sign a sympathy card for another student at her school whose sister was killed the previous week. She stated it was Karma.
I could not believe what I was reading. I feel sorry for Ashlee really.

        • Nancy says:

          Charming.

        • RabbleRouser says:

I know on the Wendy Williams show, a while ago some girls were in the audience who went to high school with her and said she turned into a real C U Next Tuesday and thought she was really something.

        • Winston Churchill says:

Here is the comment from Reality Tea, Ashlee admits she said it was Karma.

          “372
          lord help us all
          23 Apr, 2012 at 8:54 pm

so ashlee’s blog has a video where she talks about being bullied in high school. A commenter wrote:

          lmp183456
Your whole story is bullshit. No one ever threw your laptop and you never asked to be transfered. You were enemies with a girl who’s sister died that year and refused to sign a card for her because “it was karma”. Then you were ASKED TO LEAVE the school.

No one is perfect and everyone has done something they are not proud of in their past, but to attach yourself to a cause like this and try and get others to believe this fabrication is despicable. You should be ashamed of yourself and what you have done.
          Apr 12, 2012

          And Ashlee responded with:
          Ashlee Holmes
What you’re saying is COMPLETELY ridiculous. My story is TRUE. There’s A LOT MORE to it too. I DID asked to be transferred after a group of immature girls tried to start a fight with me. They slammed my laptop down and threw the magazine I reading among other things. I was enemies with a girl who’s EX boyfriend kissed me at a party months after they broke up. She started acting like a psycho ex and flipped out on me EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT interested in her EX boyfriend AT ALL. I was bullied by that girl and her friends for over a month. My cousin who I was close with passed away during this time, I was out of school for a few days. The girls that had been bullying me MADE FUN of my cousin who had JUST died. They made fun of me for being out of school because of him. They made up rumors. One of that girl’s friends had a sister who then passed away a week or so later than my cousin. I was in art class when the teacher asked me to sign a card for her. I NICELY declined signing the card about 3 times before I got angry with the teacher and said, “NO. I am NOT going to sign this card! This is her karma if anything.” Was that wrong of me to say? Absolutely. –BUT I was HURT. I’M SORRY that I had trouble wanting to sign a card and feel sorry for a girl who had JUST made fun of my loss and had been bullying me for a month. I was NEVER asked to leave the school. Danielle Staub (a former castmate of the reality show I’m on) tried to start that rumor the same year. I have an official letter from DePaul Catholic High school stating that I REQUESTED A TRANSFER and that I was NEVER asked to leave that I will GLADLY post online again if I have to. Judging by the fact that you made such a bold and uneducated comment anonymously on this post tells me that you’re probably either one of the girls that used to bully me, or one of their parents. Whoever you are, you probably know the real truth and are ashamed of your own past behavior –and if not, then I just told you. Regardless, I will continue my fight to stop bullying in schools whether I have your approval or not.”

  56. Savannah Nichole says:

Thanks to EVERYONE on my birthday wishes I really appreciate it. I spent it with my family :)

  57. Savannah Nichole says:

Great blog Lynn I missed the OC episode, I’ll watch it on ondemand if it’s available yet.

  58. Mrs. Peabody says:

Wow Caroline is still getting slammed on the Bravo blog, so is Kathy and Melissa. People aren’t buying the Camille plan Melissa is trying to pull off.

    • RabbleRouser says:

      awesome…
Now the threat of Caro and Jax walking off is even funnier.

      • Mrs. Peabody says:

nice to see someone else still up. I say to them, don’t let the door hit you on your way out. Bet you money even if they did quit Melissa wouldn’t quit in a million years and Kathy either. The only way to get rid of them is to shut the show down or fire them. They are kind of like Jill, only go kicking and screaming and blame it all on Teresa.

        • RabbleRouser says:

Oh Melissa and Kathy are staying put. I predicted that :)

I am on the west coast, so its only 10pm where I am but I am about to watch Revenge on DVR. :D

        • Winston Churchill says:

Melissa would probably do the show for free.

  59. Mrs. Peabody says:

One of the best reality shows on TV is the Little Couple, no fighting, just things going on in their life. Great couple. Am I on here by myself?

    • RabbleRouser says:

I don’t really watch too much TLC because of how they showcase kids on reality tv. Thanks to them and Kate Gosselin it will only be a matter of time before we have 8 entitled adult assholes in the world.

      • Mrs. Peabody says:

I hope not because those kids really were cute. I would try the Little Couple, he is a businessman and she is a Dr who is the head of a section (escapes me at the moment) dealing with babies in critical condition at the Houston Children’s Hospital. They show her at work and then their home life. When their families visit you never see fighting. The are little people who have been married about 3 years now. They are trying to have a baby and it shows them going through that process, so far no luck. That part of the show is heartbreaking. It’s really a good show.

        • RabbleRouser says:

The last time I saw the show, I saw 8 little terrors. They are used to getting to the front of the line in everything and having things shut down for their private viewing.

Mady is just miserable but then again, she will probably be the first one to write a tell all book.

One of them already got expelled from kindergarten.

  60. Nancy says:

    Good night ladies and Mel.

  61. Baroness Beachcomber says:

Good morning! It’s storming here on the OBX. Lots of thunder.
