Today is Jill Zarin’s Birthday! As a gift to Jill, this will be my final “I Hate Jill Zarin” Blog.
This blog was born out of frustration! Frustration at Bravo for not posting comments after having taken the time to search out, read and compose my thoughts, Bravo rudely ignored my comments. Maybe they were too long, could be, huh? Most of the comments that I was interested in posting were in regards to the behavior, motives and even thoughts of Mrs. Jill Zarin of New York City. Many of you found this blog by typing into a search engine the four words, “I Hate Jill Zarin” But the blog has become so much more than just a blog about Jill or even a blog about Real Housewives. And so, it is time to move on.

This is my final blog about Jill Zarin, Former Real Housewife of New York City, she was admittedly fired by Bravo along with her cast mates, Alex McCord, Cindy Barshop and Kelly Bensimon.
Background
Jill has given us plenty to talk about over the past two years or so, the blog name was honestly how I was feeling at the time that I wrote my first blog about this woman. Having watched her be so cruel to her one time friend Bethenny Frankel for no apparent reason was infuriating. There was no rhyme or reason to the unbelievable behavior, it was vicious and vile and didn’t make sense. It was too extreme for what we were told that Bethenny had done.
Jill and Bethenny were friends, not just TV show friends, they turned their stint on Housewives into a real friendship. They spoke, got together, took trips together and enjoyed a true friendship. So what happened? If you ask Jill you’ll get a different answer than if you ask Bethenny.
From Bethenny’s perspective, Jill got to be too much, overbearing and clingy. The bigger Bethenny’s star shined, the more it bothered Jill Zarin. Jill wanted them to go along together to become big famous stars. But the public admiration and the opportunities came to Bethenny more frequently. Bethenny was recognized for her personality and her ability to tell it like it is, her snark was funny and people loved her. The Today Show wanted Bethenny without her cast mates, she didn’t receive invitations only as part of an ensemble cast, she was being invited to do things and appear places on her own.
Jill Zarin wasn’t happy, she told us herself, “I wanted to do these things with you”. But Jill wasn’t invited to do these things with Bethenny and we all know that Bethenny isn’t the type that would break the news to Jill delicately. Jill’s frequent calls complaining that she wasn’t a part of Bethenny’s rise to fame caused Bethenny to tell Jill to “get a hobby”. Nice? No, not at all but no one knew better than Jill Zarin that Bethenny doesn’t mince words.
Around the same time Jill’s husband was diagnosed with cancer. I’m not a doctor but I’m told it is the most treatable type of cancer with the highest percentage of complete
recovery when treated quickly. That doesn’t minimize the fact that the man had cancer. Jill told Bethenny about Bobby Zarin’s cancer and explained that he was having a “procedure”. That word “procedure” will come into play later.
As the new season was about to film Jill Zarin had a plan, she knew that she had a few aces in the hole, she had Bethenny’s voice mail message telling her to “get a hobby” and she had the fact that her husband had undergone treatment for cancer and that Bethenny wasn’t around to support her during that time. Bethenny was on a 6-month book tour but later said that she would have rushed home if she knew that Jill needed her. You can either believe that or not, it really doesn’t matter. At this point both Jill and Bethenny are at fault for playing ridiculous games with their friendship. Unfortunately for Jill Zarin, her plan had only just begun. She wanted to use these things that happened against an unsuspecting Bethenny to get public support from viewers.
As Bethenny’s star continued to rise and she was offered her own show on Bravo, Jill decided to put her plan into action. She contacted their other cast mates and asked them to join her in refusing to film with Bethenny. She decided to play Bethenny’s voice mail message on the show and announce that her husband had cancer and that “Bethenny sent flowers, so did my mailman”.
Bethenny was blindsided and had no idea that while she was filming sweet loving scenes with her new beau Jason, Jill had put her plan into action and was slamming Bethenny all over New York City. The problem comes when Bethenny tries and tries to make peace with Jill and Jill keeps pushing Bethenny away, refusing to talk to her, hanging up on her, making fun of her, allowing Luann to listen in on phone calls and calling Bethenny toxic during their face to face meeting.
We’re not naive enough to think that Bethenny didn’t know how she was coming off on television. She had to know that she was getting the public sympathy by her continuing efforts to talk to her former friend. Having just returned from attempting to visit her dying father, Bethenny pleads, crying to Jill, “I would never do anything to hurt you, I love you” Jill is cold as ice and dismisses Bethenny. Bethenny stands on the street dressed in red crying, it paints quite the picture for viewers.
Could Bethenny have written it any better? She buries her father and returns to New York then gets nailed by the crazy orange lady named Kelly in St. John. Bethenny gets engaged, she gets pregnant and suddenly she’s the golden girl and Jill is the most hated housewife in Bravo history. Plan failed Jill!
Now Jill is behind the eight ball, her plan failed and she needs to find a way to regain the public love she once had on the show. Jill thought that her public loved her because she was friends with Bethenny, people reminded her constantly that she and Bethenny together were TV gold. They were funny and had a real chemistry but it was all gone because her plan failed and now Bethenny was done. Bethenny realized that she wanted nothing more to do with Jill Zarin, it was like a light bulb went off in Bethenny’s head, right? My guess is that Bethenny was done with Jill because she knew that is what
viewers wanted, she knew that not only were fans demanding that Bethenny stop begging Jill to be friends but they wanted Bethenny to cut Jill out of her life completely and never speak to her again, and that’s what she did. Fans cheered! It’s like the end of a movie and the guy gets the girl, or the beloved character on their death-bed is saved by a miracle. It’s the end of the movie that fans want to see.
Who could forget the NYMag excellent blogs from Season Three entitled, “Why Jill Zarin is a Disgusting Person”. Week after week the blog title never changed. Here is an excerpt from one of those articles:
Ramona’s best play of the episode was when Jill burst onto the scene on the island and honked, “Ramona, we came!” Ramona quietly responded: “Why?” Indeed, Jill, why? That’s the question we’ve been asking of you this entire season. One thing we have not been confused over, however, is whether or not she’s a disgusting person. Onto our reasons!
Her inability to comprehend other people’s existence or motivations leaves her constantly surprised when people react poorly to her actions: “I walked in there and yelled surprise, and it was as if someone died,” she said later, shocked. “When they saw me, it was like a ghost, and not a good ghost, not a friendly ghost.” Oh, Jill. Like anybody ever confused you for fucking Casper.
She may really have rage problems: Jill’s face when she insists to Ramona, “IT WAS A SURPRISE” is like she’s a monster who wants to eat Ramona’s face. Please, please, no one “surprise” us like that.
She has the memory of a goldfish: “Ramona and I have had our ups and downs over the years, but I always thought I could count on her,” she says, even though season after season, she has always been exclusively cruel and derisive to Ramona.
She thinks all business is her business: “Who the hell is Alex to butt her nose into my business?” she asks, even though she was the one to butt her face into everyone else’s vacation.
She is all about stunts: She couldn’t wait to talk to Bethenny until they were alone? She had to do this stunty scene? That’s how you know someone is serious about saving a friendship — when they perform a reality-TV stunt (to be fair, Bethenny is guilty of this same exact thing).
She only changes her behavior when she realizes it’s making her look bad: “I want to start over,” she announces. “I don’t want to have a fight with anybody.” It took Bobby, her sister, and probably several Bravo producers to convince Jill she had to change her story line in order to salvage her reputation.

Off Screen
As the season aired, Jill quickly realized that things were not going to turn out well for her. Bethenny was getting her own show, Bethenny was engaged, pregnant and the public was in love with her. Jill was in big trouble.
Jill’s book was released to monumentally horrible reviews, she and her family wrote a book giving advice but in the end, who would want advice from a woman who was so vile on a reality television show? Jill’s people sent a copy of Jill’s book to Amazon’s number one reviewer, Alana Chandler, she is a well-respected reviewer who people really listen to when buying books and other items on Amazon.com. If she liked Jill’s book and would post a positive review, Jill could sell more books.
Alana didn’t like Jill’s book, she found the advice to be quite lame and any decent advice that was in there was a matter of common sense. Jill told readers to choose a man who loves you more than you love him, ensure he has money and can take care of you. She told her readers to pour your drink on your leftover food to ensure you don’t eat it, that will help you to lose weight. The bottom line is, Alana Chandler wasn’t impressed and she wrote an honest review of what she thought about the book.
Jill was furious, she wrote an email to Alana calling her anti-Semitic then wrote a nasty comment in response to Alana’s review. Jill went on to post a positive review for her own book on Amazon using a fake name. The problem is that while Jill changed her name to Susan Saunders to post these things, she forgot that commenting on Amazon.com requires you to register and Susan Saunders was traced directly back to Jill Zarin’s original Amazon account complete with her daughter and husband’s name listed as family members.
It wasn’t bad enough that Jill posted a positive review on her own book, I think we could even forgive her for that but to call Alana anti-Semitic was ridiculous, on top of that Jill posted a negative review using her Susan Saunders name on Bethenny’s latest book as well as Alex McCord’s book. Mean girl behavior.
Amazon-gate was just one in a series of things that Jill was caught doing, all underhanded and all attempts to make herself look better and Bethenny look bad. Jill had her friends and family post on Amazon as well, as each positive review appeared on Amazon.com they were each easily picked apart and found to be fake reviews that Jill had relatives post in an attempt to bring the rating up on the site.
Jill asked a radio interviewer to post a positive review on Amazon for her book, as Jill’s sister Lisa tried to stop her, the interviewer told Jill she couldn’t do that as it would be unethical, Jill told her to use a fake name or post the review under her boyfriend’s name. The radio personality posted the entire story complete with the transcript.
After all, Zarin asked me to leave a review for her book when I interviewed her for The Daily Beast a few weeks ago, just before it came out. Which I had forgotten until this scandal erupted.
According to my transcript, here is how it played out:
“I would love you to write a review for us,” Jill said, after I told her I had, in fact, liked reading the book.
“I don’t know if I can,” I said, trying to be polite.
“Can you go under an assumed name?” Jill asked.
I shook my head.
She laughed. “Why not?”
At that point, Jill’s sister Lisa Wexler jumped in. “‘Cause she said it’s not allowed because it’s unethical. She’s not comfortable,” Lisa said.
“I don’t know, you could just say you loved the book,” Jill said. “Anonymous. Is that so bad?”
“It is if she says she’s not allowed to do it,” Lisa said.
“Ask [your boyfriend],” Jill said. “If you want to help us, that would really help us.”
I did not, alas, ask him.
Jill sent “stories” of her wonderful life to internet media outlets complete with text and photos asking them to post them as a news item. Jill took her daughter back-to-school
shopping and prepared a complete story (with 3 or 4 different versions of text) she sent the “story” to several media outlets, most simply ignored it but one outted Jill telling readers exactly what Jill had done. In her haste and overwhelming desire for a positive news story to be posted she ended up embarrassing herself once again.

A few different angles to take on it:
1) After a season full of drama and a weekend of harassment thanks to an anonymous posting of her address all over the internet, Jill Zarin sought some retail therapy with her daughter Ally yesterday at Century 21 downtown in New York. While shopping for everything from potential father’s day gifts for her husband Bobby to travel luggage for Ally’s upcoming summer trips out of the country, Zarin looked at ease, a far cry from the season finale of the hit Bravo TVShow where her fractured relationship with co-star Bethenny Frankel has made for headlines all season long.
2) Housewives of NYC startlet Jill Zarin was spotted shopping for potential father’s day gifts for her husband Bobby while at Century 21 downtown in NYC with her daughter Ally. The reality TV star had been receiving threatening mail to her home the last few days after her address was anonymously posted on the internet following the season finale of the hit Bravo Show but on this day it seemed that a little mother-daughter shopping therapy had her in good spirits.
3) Retail Therapy! Jill Zarin and her college-bound daughter Ally were seen shopping at Century 21 Downtown in NYC on Monday looking for everything from makeup and skin care cream, to father’s day gifts for her husband Bobby. While shopping, the reality TV starlet was overheard talking about her recent college reunion and how happy she is to have a break from the drama that occurred throughout the most recent season of Housewives of NYC.”
Which story would you choose if you were a media outlet? Did you catch the adjectives? Jill looks “Super Cute” and describes herself as a “Starlet” Starlet? Really Jill?
The Social Networks:
As the series aired, off-screen Bethenny remained silent, she didn’t give interviews bashing Jill, she didn’t tweet or post on Facebook anything negative about Jill, she just let the season play out. She must have had pretty good PR people, or she just learned quickly how to use social media to her advantage. There was really no need for Bethenny to say a word, it was all there on-screen.
Jill wasn’t quite so smart. Jill used her blog, Twitter, Facebook and anyone who would interview her to try to defend her actions and continue to turn people against Bethenny. She harped on about the voice mail message saying, “get a hobby” and the “procedure” that Bobby had done suddenly changed into his “throat being cut from ear to ear”. Every time Jill was interviewed she would talk shit about Bethenny and even told people that Bethenny had a rule when she was being interviewed that they were not allowed to ask her about Jill Zarin.
When it became clear to Jill that she wasn’t going to win this battle, she changed her tune. Suddenly she was asking her Facebook fans how she should go about trying to make up with Bethenny. She would Tweet that she tried to call Bethenny but never got a return call. Jill was trying to win back fans. It didn’t work. Viewers remembered the blogs that she had written and the interviews that she had given at the beginning of the season nailing Bethenny to the wall. It was all too convenient, when it came time to film the reunion suddenly Jill Zarin was apologetic and regretful for the way that she treated Bethenny.
The Reunion:
As if Bethenny had written the script once again, the reunion was filmed just 7-days after she gave birth to a baby girl who was 5-weeks early. Bethenny should have been sitting at the reunion 8 months pregnant, bloated and swollen, instead she looked amazingly thin and when she spoke of her daughter, she positively glowed. It was like the reality TV Gods were shining down on Bethenny Frankel. She would have won either way, who could
attack a pregnant woman? Bethenny’s statements were clearly well thought out and she spoke with little emotion. She told the stories and confronted her one time friend Jill Zarin always making sense yet not being vicious, “it’s. what. happened.” was Bethenny’s mainstay. It worked well, Jill couldn’t deny anything, she was caught in so many hateful awful things she could only sit and apologize over and over again. Another happy ending for Bethenny fans.
The List
Jill didn’t just write a review on Amazon, her plan included so many underhanded and mean things that they are almost to numerous to list, but list we did and with a whole lot of help I was able to compile a list that we could probably double today, the list hasn’t been updated in over a year but it gives a good idea of all of the things that Jill has done to earn her horrible reputation. This is the original first list that I posted back in May of 2010.
ü Jill visited Dancing With The Stars and clearly changed seats with her husband when she realized that she wasn’t in range of the cameras while the judges were on-screen.
ü Jill put Bethenny on speakerphone and allowed Luann to listen to their conversation without telling Bethenny who was listening in.
ü Jill saved a voice mail message from Bethenny for four months just so that she could play it on national television
ü Jill created a fake name on Amazon and wrote a glowing review for her own book, a negative one for Bethenny’s book and harassed the number one reviewer on Amazon for writing a bad review of Jill’s book.
ü Jill posted a tweet stating that Bethenny had a baby boy before Bethenny announced anything – this information based on a known hack on Twitter, Jill claimed she heard it from a local TV station, then went on to blame her daughter for the mix up. When fans criticized Jill, she sent a FB message threatening to delete fans ending her message with “Enough!”
ü Jill refused to talk to Bethenny when Ramona tried to set up a meeting between the two ladies. When she finally did speak to her, she claimed not to have her “notes” and therefore couldn’t resolve anything.
ü Jill sent Kelly an email scolding her for being friendly with Bethenny
ü Jill made fun of Alex’s boy’s right to Alex’s face and told her she should add their behavior in her ‘parenting’ book.
ü Jill completely bashed Alex’s Fashion show with her rude comments and insults.
ü Jill told Bethenny “we’re done” several times then decides she wants back into B’s life after she learns about the engagement and pregnancy
ü Jill leaked Bethenny’s pregnancy to Perez Hilton (allegedly)
ü Jill hangs out with Perez Hilton…ack!
ü Jill became angry and lashed out at Bethenny when she learned that Bethenny would be getting her own show. Jill’s plan was for the two of them to have a show together
ü Jill called the Today show when Bethenny was booked to appear and complained that she wasn’t asked to be on the show alone, without the other housewives.

ü Jill claimed to be co-author of the book merely added a few recipes, her sister wrote the entire book alone
ü Jill told a room full of people that she hoped Bethenny’s show will fail and that SHE is the star of the show and should have her own show, not Bethenny
ü Jill “recruited” other Bravolebrities to her team including Patti Stanger, Teresa Giudice and NeNe Leaks. Patti spewed venom on Twitter, Teresa on BravoTV.com and NeNe posed for photos with Jill’s book (which we all know NeNe never read)
ü Jill ignored Bethenny’s email asking about Bobby, Jill said that B should have realized based on that, that something was wrong. (can you say passive aggressive?)
ü Jill waited until doing press tours for her book to tell the press how sorry she was and how much she missed Bethenny. (during press tours for RHONY, Jill continued to bash Bethenny)
ü Jill leaked to the press that Alex and Simon would not be returning for another season (a lie!)
ü Jill told the press that Alex was desperate not to lose her place on the show and therefore Alex interfered with her friendship with Bethenny
ü Jill skipped the trip that Ramona so graciously invited her on because she can’t seem to get along with her cast mates
ü Jill talked behind Bethenny’s back saying that she was not a good friend and that she uses people to get ahead in her career
ü Jill walked away from Bethenny at the Gotham Bachelor party embarrassing herself and Bethenny
ü Jill made a fake attempt to congratulate Bethenny on her engagement then only gushed over the ring even asking Jason how many carats it was
ü Jill appeared on Watch What Happens Live and responded with, “it’s in the book” to every question that Andy asked her including about the WWHL weekly poll
ü Jill keeps saying, “watch what happens” in an effort to tell fans that she will correct her behavior and apologize to Bethenny….we’re still waiting…
ü Jill blames editing on her poor reputation this year, something she called others out for doing several times in previous seasons
ü Jill claims that she asked to speak to Bethenny in private, without cameras at Ramona’s house. (Bethenny said that was not true)
ü Jill was rude and out of control at Ramona’s True Renewal party complaining about the brochures and the food, among other things. (after saying she was going to be the bigger person)
ü Jill met with new housewife, Jennifer Gilbert, supposedly to introduce her to viewers, but did all the talking and did not let Jen get a word in
ü Jill claimed that Bobby had his throat cut from ear to ear due to his cancer scare, yet no evidence of that was found, no scar, no bandage, no nothing. Several medical professionals claim that cutting the throat from ear to ear is never done.
ü Jill deletes (or pays someone to delete) and blocks any post to her Facebook page that isn’t 100% in her favor
ü Jill protected her Twitter posts for weeks during the Amazon scandal
ü Jill is pushing her book on her husband’s business web site, Zarin Fabrics
ü Jill made the excuse that she was trying to be funny like Bethenny when she made the snarky comments all season
ü Jill got friends, relatives and neighbors to write positive reviews on Amazon for her book (some even admitted in the review that they knew her personally)
ü Jill, while claiming to be redeeming herself, sided with Luann and said that “Bethenny was horrible to Luann” (on WWHL)
ü Jill is CONSTANTLY interrupting everyone! Andy Cohen, Interviewers, her sister, her mother, her husband, her friends, co-workers, cast mates…

* Pandering to Gloria by getting her multiple cars until the old hag was satisfied.
*Jill refuses to allow others to forgive, by reminding them and rehashing incidents.
*Jill refusing to allow Bethenny to be invited to events of other wives, until she and Bethenny make up.
*Jill insisting Bethenny be uninvited to events, meanwhile trying to be friends with Bethenny.
*Jill was born.
If we tried to compile a complete list now it would be astronomical, there is literally too much to fit into any one place, although I would love it if someone would give it a shot! As Jill has become more familiar with Twitter she has played a whole lot of games on that social network. Recently she took some negative tweets that viewers sent to her, altered them and then re-tweeted them into positive messages toward Jill as if they were really written by viewers.
If I hadn’t seen all these things that Jill has done myself I wouldn’t believe it. It just sounds too unbelievable! No one woman could do all of these hateful things, could they? Only one woman…Jill Zarin!
Jill blocks so many viewers on Twitter that someone created a Twitter name @BlckdbyJilZarin and has hundreds of followers. Jill has herself wrapped in a bubble and can’t see that she’s getting some amazing advice out there if she would simply listen.

A talk with Jill Zarin, former ‘Real Housewives of New York’ cast member, promoting her new Skweez Couture line at North Point Mall Nov. 5, 2011

Jill Zarin was dropped from “Real Housewives of New York” in September after four seasons.
Jill Zarin was often portrayed as a villainess on “The Real Housewives of New York” after sharp disagreements with various cast members over four seasons, most famously former BFF Bethenny Frankel. Jill wasn’t portrayed as anything, she did it all on her own.
Now Zarin’s free of the Bravo show, let go in September, and focused on her other businesses, including a new line of shapewear called Skweez Couture. She’ll spend two hours at North Point Mall’s new Von Maur store this Saturday starting at noon if you’d like to talk to her and get a photo taken.
“I would have liked to earn the money to stay on the show,” she said in a phone interview Thursday while her closet was getting reorganized in her 2,000-square-foot New York City apartment. “On the other hand, now that I’m off the show, I can see my reputation getting better. Things improved season four after it was damaged season three. People are starting to realize, watching other reality shows, that maybe they were too harsh on me.” Who? Where? I haven’t seen anyone say that they thought they were too harsh on her, it’s all in her head. When you block everyone who has anything critical to say, you tend to be in a bubble and out of touch with reality. Of course Jill would have liked to have been paid the reported $500k that Ramona and Luann are getting. Can you just imagine Jill’s reaction when she learned her former cast mates got that kind of a raise? I’ll bet she even kicked Ginger! (its a joke!)
She cited an example from season three of her getting heat for placing Bethenny’s call on speakerphone without telling her LuAnn De Lesseps was in the room, closing the door on her friendship with Bethenny and then snickering about it with LuAnn. (You can refresh your memory from this recap.) Zarin said she didn’t do that to be catty and uncaring but to accommodate the producers of the show since she didn’t realize Bethenny had a camera crew with her. (Often on shows when the other side is not being taped, a speakerphone is a way to ensure listeners can hear what’s going on.) A similar incident happened another time when she put Ramona on speakerphone and Ramona said something bad about LuAnn, unaware LuAnn could hear her.
Haven’t we been through this already? We get the speakerphone thing for filming but when Bethenny specifically asked who was there, Jill purposely left off Luann who was sitting right next to her making faces.
“I think people are going to miss me,” Zarin said, once season five starts without her.Yeah, no, they’re not!
She said her contract on Bravo limited her ability to make appearances on shows on rival networks, but Frankel, who she dubbed “The Golden Child,” was able to get on ABC’s “Skating With the Stars,” no problem. Now, Zarin said, she is able to go elsewhere and is in talks to do another show on another network. She just won’t detail who or what since nothing has been signed. There she goes again trying to get people to think she was considered for Skating With The Stars, the producer came right out and stated that Jill was never considered. ”Only one Housewife was invited to appear”. She’s in talks, she’s about to make a big announcement, we’ve heard it all before, nothing going on there! She continues to compare herself to Bethenny but she’s never been in the same league as Bethenny.
Zarin was hurt by comments fellow ousted castmate Alex McCord and her husband Simon van Kampen said on “Good Morning America” about her a few days after Bravo cut them loose. McCord said Zarin had been trying to get her off the show for years. Van Kampen said Zarin was still stuck in junior high 30 years later.
“I was disappointed by what they said,” Zarin said. “After we were let go that Saturday night, I reached out to all the girls, including Alex and Simon. I said if you need me for anything, I get booked for appearances and if they need other people, I can suggest you. Now I don’t want to work with them.” 
“It hurt my feelings,” she added. “I was trying to be nice. For good or bad, we made great television. We had fun together. Season four, I didn’t have one fight with Alex. We got along in Morocco. Don’t go after me. Go after another housewife that did something to you, not me.” Nope, not one fight she just called Alex a F***** Bitch” on the season premiere and again at the reunion. But not one fight….
When it comes to the show itself, Zarin said she enjoyed her experience with Bravo. “Four years was much longer than I ever thought the show would last,” she said. “I’m grateful And the show lives on. Plus, repeats are now being rolled out in other countries so I get emails all over the world asking me if I’m still best friends with Bethenny.” Jill just can’t ever stop talking about Bethenny, how does it feel to have to respond to all of those emails saying “nope, B still hates me”?
Zarin, who has been in the hosiery business for 25 years, said she wanted her Skweez Couture shapewear to address issues she has had over the years. She wanted more color choices than nude or black. She’s added lace and improved the waistband so it won’t roll down. “Mine is developed to make you look more feminine,” she said. She said the line, which ranges in cost from $20 to $75, is cheaper than comparable products from Atlanta-based Spanx and she believes Skweez is more comfortable to boot.
(A Daily News reporter tried both on and felt Skweeze worked better than Spanx but was not all that comfortable.) This article claims Sqweeze wasn’t comfortable, without comfort you will fail. Not to mention Jill’s products are not US made, something many keep forgetting. To be fair, Spanx are not made in the US either.
She premiered the line at Lord & Taylors, with Macy’s adding Skweez by February. She will also be hawking her product line on HSN Feb. 10, 2012.
And given her background, Zarin said this is a natural brand extension for her. “It’s not like I’m a celebrity who woke up and said, ‘Oh, let me do a line of this or that.’ What I’m doing makes sense based on what I already know. I feel like I’m filling a void.”
She invited NeNe Leakes and Kandi Burruss to her appearance Saturday so you might get bonus “Real Housewives” if you stop by. This is false advertising, NeNe said she would “do her best” to try to make it and Kandi never responded to Jill’s invitation. In the end none of the Atlanta Housewives showed up to support Jill, just as she has always done for them.

Comment 1: She didn’t have a fight with Alex but she started Season 4 calling her a f***ing bitch and ended the season at the reunion reiterating the remark. LOL! Jill is a bit deluded and completely unable to take responsibility for any of her own words or actions. RHONY is well rid of her.

Comment 3 from Delta flight attendent: I had the disgust of serving this horrid woman. I have worked the air for 20 years and never encountered such an arrogant condesending demanding “Don’t you know who I am” horror. Please do not support anything she is associated with. I guarantee all her efforts will fail. She will never be an Atlanta lady !
Comment 4: Wow.. What reality does Jill live in. She thinks her image is improving? All anyone needs to do is take one look at her Twitter account to see how down right mean this woman really is. She is constantly blocking people who have never said anything about her! The way she treated an employee with an airline she recently used is appalling. You can also see this on her Twitter time line. Jill acts as if the world owes her something but she owes nothing to this world in return. She calls people Antii-Semitic and says she has proof. When asked to produce the proof, she blocks them and acts like she didnt do anything. Jill is so self-righteous. She is rude, arrogant and self absorbed. Take a trip over to her Twitter time line and see for yourself. Wake up and smell the hate Jill.
So Jill Zarin says she is finished with Bravo, she told her two fans that they’ve asked her to stick around and do some guest appearances either on Real Housewives of New York or some of Bravo’s other shows. Sometimes Bravo will intwine their Housewives as guest judges on one of their Fashion competition shows or even Top Chef but Jill said she’s not going to agree to any of that. Jill is determined that she’s going to move onward and upward and get another stint on television. She’s even gone so far as to say that she thanks Bravo for getting her into the “entertainment business”. We haven’t seen any ex-housewives going on to do anything substantial with the exception of Bethenny Frankel.
Some of the more recent reports actually blamed Bethenny for Jill’s termination at Bravo.
While anything is possible I just don’t see it for a number of reasons. I believe that Jill Zarin fell off of Bethenny’s radar long ago and Jill isn’t in Bethenny’s way of her journey to where she’s going. Bethenny became a star in spite of Jill’s attempts to stop that from happening. That said, I don’t think Bethenny could affect anyone’s Bravo career. Bravo is going to employ who will bring them ratings and money. Period.
Fans complained endlessly about Jill Zarin and her horrible behavior on and off screen, that coupled with Bravo’s goal to bring ratings by getting back to their original Housewives premise, extremely wealthy and extravagant lifestyles. Based on Beverly Hills Housewives, that is what Bravo believes viewers want to see. Jill Zarin doesn’t fit into that category, neither does Cindy, Alex or Kelly. (Sonja and Luann may not be exceedingly wealthy now, but there is no question they have lived that extravagant lifestyle in the past)
Jill is pathetic and was begging the Atlanta Housewives to join her at her appearance in an Atlanta department store to sell her girdles. I’m sure the Atlanta ladies are flattered by their personalized invitations by Jill to join her. Apparently she doesn’t have their phone numbers, good call Atlanta ladies!
Keep in mind folks that the Atlanta Housewives, just like any other celebrity are paid for personal appearances, why on earth would they give Jill any free publicity. Jill posted this publicly in hopes that people will show up hoping that they would see some or all of their favorite Atlanta Housewives. (none of the Atlanta Housewives showed up to support Jill)
While Jill thinks her reputation improved, I don’t think that things improved during season four, just because Jill tried to avoid feuding with Alex doesn’t mean she had changed. In fact Jill’s comments about Alex in the opening episode told us all we needed to know for the entire season. Jill merely became afraid to fight with Alex on screen because she would get negative feedback for it so she sent her cast mates to do it. The brunettes plan to make a fool of Alex was clearly Jill’s plan carried out by Kelly and Luann.

Jill has recently tweeted to Delta Airlines and JetBlue complaining about silly little things in hopes of getting more airline miles or a refund of some kind. One was actually because the video monitor she had to stare at during her flight didn’t have the proper trim cover and the screws were showing! WOW I’m surprised they didn’t give her shares in the airline for such a horrible problem! The pilot actually agreed to take off with the trim missing on Jill’s screen? Do they not do safety checks before taking off?
Most recently she complained to a frozen yogurt store for not delivering to “good customers”. This after she was paid to Tweet their advertisement.

Apparently things didn’t go well after she insulted a company that was paying her to tweet their ad.
The way I see it now, I don’t care what Jill Zarin does with the rest of her life, she hasn’t earned respect, she hasn’t earned anymore attention and if she goes on to become a big star (cough cough) well then she’ll do it without any mention here.
What I’d like to do is use this final Jill Zarin Blog for all of you to add your final thoughts on Jill Zarin, tell me why you first started to dislike her and what led you here. Add to the list, tell us what irritates you most about Jill Zarin. Is it her attitude? Her voice? The way she treats her dog better than her daughter? The way she puts her husband in the background? Her constant pushing of her stupid wares on viewers all the time? Forever Tweeting to celebrities begging to meet them? Get it all out of your system!
Jill posted once on this blog that has been confirmed, she asked me what I would do if she made up with Alex and Simon, how would I react and would I change my mind about Jill? The answer is simple, her relationship with Silex has nothing to do with how I feel about Jill Zarin. They have had no influence on this blog, they have nothing to do with the blog and they’re not my friends. I have interacted (that is spoken to, emailed and met) the couple but this blog has nothing to do with Simon or Alex. They have been subjects of the
blog just like all of the other cast members, that is the extent of it. (I’ve also spoken to, emailed and met many other Bravo cast members through the course of the life of the blog as a fan like anyone else). Alex and Simon have never even agreed to be interviewed by me while others have, including Sonja Morgan, Melissa Gorga, Phaedra Parks and Gretchen Rossi among others.
My goal is to simply forget Jill Zarin. Let her fade away from my memory like a bad date at the junior prom. So there will be no Jill Zarin updates in the daily blogs from me. This isn’t a “Jill banning”, feel free to discuss her nonsense as you chat on our blog here, it simply means I won’t be bringing you anymore Jill Zarin news (antics) in the blog.
A HUGE Thank you to all of you who have supported this blog since the beginning, so many of you have been here since day one, others who joined in along the way and the new readers and contributors. You have all made this blog fun for me and the success that we’ve had is thanks to you all. Those of you who read every day with your morning coffee, but remain silent, thank you for being here! I have read your last comments with interest. Here in the U.K. series 4 has just recently ended, and I still can not understand the blatant dislike displayed for Jill Zarin by your blog. Was she mean yes I would not dispute it, was Bethany playing to the cameras most certainly. Ms Singer as expected continued her emotionally stunted, immature and very spoiled behavior, Kelly was Kelly off on a tangent but interesting, Alex displayed a new side to herself that I felt she carried off very badly. Luann again displayed double standards at times. Most had a product to plug and did so throughout the series. All this referral to high school and mean girl is just ridiculous is their descriptive language so stunted. This is a TV show and should be viewed as such it is not a platform to build grudges.
I have to say, this is one of the most horrible blogs I have ever read. To spew so much hatred towards a TV personality is reprehensible.
I find it sad and pitiful. The persons responsible for this are nothing short of pathetic.
I work with journalists and bloggers, but I have never seen anything like this.
I hope at some point in your life, you will see the light. I will never visit this sight again.

Hate to see Lynn’s JZ blog go. Not often can you find a place of truth when it comes to JZ. She has so many bloggers and posters commenting at all media outlets practically full time to hype her up and spread propaganda to improve her public image. These folks are not her “friends” or supporters, they are paid staff. Very easy to spot too – after awhile they all sound the same. Obviously no journalism degrees there. News flash to JZ – it’s not working! Nobody is buying your BS or your fake new persona. You are fooling no one. We don’t believe your stories. Never have.

Wow…that’s…an awful lot of time hating one person that you don’t actually know in real life. Yikes! I like this blog cause it’s a good round-up of Housewives gossip…but I don’t think I can keep coming back here now that I know it was all born out of this weirdly obsessive hatred. I don’t watch enough of the RHONY to have an opinion on Jill, but I don’t think I could work up this much vitriol for even my least favorite housewives. Hopefully, since this is a “goodbye” to Jill, the author can actually move on and put this energy towards something productive.

This is my first and last visit to the site. Are you insane? You call someone’s grandmother an “old hag,” not to mention the things you said about Jill herself, who is also a wife, mother, and grandmother. This is honestly pathetic!!! I don’t know Jill personally but neither do you. What do you want Jill to do to “make it up to you:” kill herself? Holy crap!! This is the most amazing blog I have found in… well, EVER!! I completely agree on everything in it! I wish I had found this while season 4 was airing, I was so furious after every episode it would have been a great outlet to come here. Before we even begin, what a ridiculous response, if you don’t agree with the author’s point of view, you are somehow an employee of Jill Zarin. Who the hell comes up with wacky crazy responses? I am not an employee. In fact I am from Europe.
BUT
Woah! I have never seen such a nasty hate-filled blog. I don’t know whether the author is delusional or plain stupid?
In fact the author suggests that her hatred stems down to series 3 of RHONY, a Jill and Bethenny feud. This is between Jill and Bethenny breakdown of friendship played in front of cameras. I fail to see how the author is related to this feud between Jill and Bethenny. It so happens to be a dispute between 2 people and the author is just a viewer. That is all. A viewer. I can’t see how she can pass comment on people (who happen to appear on tv) and make those comments very personal. Has Jill or Bethenny involved the author in their dispute?
Later this author talks about Jill creating “fake ids” on Amazon. Again, I don’t if it is true or not but there are probably tonnes of authors who have created false accounts to big up their books. If this is true, how is Jill any different?
Additionally, the author talks about Jill buying “twitter friends”- again if this is true, how is this any different to any other celebrities who buy “twitter friends”?
Like in relation to “amazon” and “twitter friends”- where is the evidence? Was the author there in person to witness this? Has she take video recordings?
To me, the author comes across as a very SAD SAD SAD person who is obssessed with the Real Housewives. It is just a tv show. Like any other tv show, it is scripted and edited for entertainment purposes. Enjoy the real housewives for what it is, a trashy show.
In relation to your last comment, the author posted in response to LeAnn, if Jill is “old news” then why do you insist on talking about her in your blogs, twitter page etc…?
Like I said, you are a sad person who life is impacted deeply by Real Housewives (you need to either watch more telly or go for a walk- essentially get a life).

In regards to the latter, I don’t hate Bethenny. I just came across this link that suggest some the author’s horrible traits. In fact, I don’t hate any of the housewives (present or former). I remain somewhat neutral as they are all just famewhores and just as worse as each other. Their catty behaviour is what makes the show, and keeps viewers entertained.
It is just a tv show and nothing else. Why obsess over it? Why create hate blogs? It is just pathetic. It is scary that someone can get so worked up and go over board over something so petty.

I never bother comment on anything but after watching this season here in England, I cud not keep quiet about this stupid, vile, jealous, fame-hungry woman and her disgusting behaviour. She is so transparent, it’s obvious that she simply wants to “share” bethenny’s limelight and is jealous of her attention and success. I find it funny now that Lynn has passed away that every negative article written about her has been deleted, but every nasty thing she had written about Jill Zarin is online for everyone to read. Am I the only person who thinks Lynn was just a little off her rocker and close to being a stalker? And were the nasty things she said about Jills dog….calling the animal “a nasty little rodent of a dog” really necessary? Really?? Oh, and by the way, I’m not Jill Zarin posing under an assumed name. Nor have I ever met Jill. So get a grip, I live in Manhattan, watching RHONY is a guilty pleasure. I find it histerical and enjoy watching it. Thought Lynn sounded crazy for attacking Jill for being born, and please, you should never take your hatred out on an animal that someone you happen to be obsessed with owns.

I agree with the sentiments of your post. I agree with you. It is sad that in the last few years of her life, she was hating, bullying and sending nasty comments to Jill (a person she saw off the television).
TV is not real! Real Housewives especially New York is not real! Yet strangely it is just not Lynn alone, she has a same few followers who haven’t learnt anything.

This is the first time I am reading this blog. For someone who doesn’t know Jill Zarin, you seem to take a lot of time defending her. I am Jill’s neighbor, and see her all the time. She is more vile off screen than on tv. Everything negative item that is posted is true, so I don’t get all the Jill love for someone you don’t know. Get a hobby.

I am no lover of Jill as I do think she is as much of a fame seeker as with the rest of the real housewives cast members. I don’t particularly love one RH cast member over another.

Reading stuff like you don’t deserve to be born- it is clearly uncomfortable reading. No one should ever say that about another human being. It is hateful.

I still hate jill zarin
Hey, Season 4 has just finished repeating/airing here in the UK and my god, this blog was a brilliant find.
Why do I hate Jill? In my opinion she’s a condescending, manipulative, fame hungry mouthpiece with a voice like a foghorn. I didn’t start off hating her either, beginning of season two she, Bethenny, Ramona and Alex were my favourites of the girls. I only started to actively dislike Jill after she began showing her true colours in regard to Bethenny. Anyone else she latched onto like a rabid dog, you could explain away as Jill being jealous and overdramatic, and she was classic car-crash tv, but when she turned on her “best friend” and treated her the way she did I just could not stomach her anymore. Season 5 begins on monday, and thank the heavens for a shake up in the lineup, although I would have preferred to lose the shambles that is “The Countess” instead of Alex and Simon, the breath of fresh air brought by opening the door, and then slamming it firmly behind Jill and Kelly, is a blessing in spangles. Thank you for the hard work and continued effort, Lynn, and everyone else who contributed to this blog. Finding people who were thinking the same things as me saved my Tv from a short and violent death. Now I just have to suffer through Luann again… Thank god for Ramona and Sonja.

Ok. I agree with that doll, it isn’t my business. Then again, being Irish, I always was not surprised how the British tend to be dumb as the Americans. Your post like everyone else on here just seem so obsessed with Real Housewives to a degree where half the people including yourself are passionately involved with the show. It is scary! It is trashy television. Maybe I lead a boring life, but I like to see old women row over petty things especially now that WWE has gone Catholic.

To be honest, I’ll watch whatever’s on tv usually, I just happened to see this blog mentioned while watching RHONY and agreed with a good lot of what Lynn was saying, and decided to add my two cents and gratitude.
I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed, I can take the show or leave it, sometimes I’ll watch Judge Judy instead, or catch up on Corrie, at the end of the day, if it takes my mind away for an hour or two, it’s alright in my book. At least you had the good grace to concede my point, so I’ll reciprocate, RHONY is trashy television, and that is why I watch it, because I can get angry, and laugh at the stupidity, and feel some sympathy for the people being attacked, and then change the channel. RHONY is not real life, it’s certainly not my life, I just watched all the shows in a short period of time, and got a little bit excited, what can I say?

I found it quite entertaining to read all the comments here, particularly those that so fiercely defended Jill Zarin. Obviously LynnNChicago was not alone in her disdain of all things Jill Zarin, nor was she obsessed. She, like millions of others, just found Jill’s behaviour so childish and indefensible that she couldn’t stand it going unmentioned any longer. As Lynn said in the post, she tried to leave the occasional comment on the bravo blog, but such comments would be removed and, thus, she needed to create a space where the comments could be made. (Incidentally, Jill’s behaviour was exactly why I originally started my blog, as well. Then I discovered Lynn’s blog and the pair of us became fast friends).
I do find it interesting to see that Elliot is still lurking around defending Jill (or whatever he’s doing here) and I am delighted to report that the Jill Zarin lovefest still goes on in my blogging world. She continues to give us all so much to talk about. Am I obsessed with Jill Zarin? Hardly. I am just astounded by the extent to which narcissistic fame whores will go to get attention and I abhor bad behaviour. Period.
